Chapter 25

Chapter 25: Walking

Adeline Mills

As we walked in complete silence, many things ran through my mind.

One, I was almost raped and abused. It was awful and frankly, I didn't think I would be able to live with it.

Two, I didn't have a lot of time left. I couldn't wait to get home.

My feet ached as they hit the dirty ground. I panted and was completely worn out.

"Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"Are we there yet?" I asked out of breath. We haven't stopped since this morning. It was already half past noon. We ran a while back, but now we were just walking. Even after pleading to rest, Jack had denied. He said we would get there faster if we didn't stop.

"Almost." He whispered and gave out a grunt as we continued to climb the bloody hill. I groaned. I felt like my feet were about to fall off.

"Help me I'm dying internally..." I complained softly. I heard Jack chuckled and he shook his head. He was way ahead of me and was already at the top of the hill.

"You're gonna wanna see this, love." He said and I pushed myself to walk faster.

"My god, I have never been so tired in my bloody life." I panted as I reached the top of the hill. I dropped to my stomach and struggled to regain my breath.

"Look there, your highness." He said and pointed off to the distance.
I squinted my eyes and grinned widely as the figure clicked in my mind. A building, where I had made many lovely memories stood there.

"My castle!" I exclaimed.

"Well, my aunt's castle." I correctef myself. He laughed and took my hand. I turned to him and smiled.

"Would you prefer a piggy back ride?" He questioned as he rose an eyebrow.

"Really?" I questioned.

"Unless you wanna run till we get there? Either that or I could carry you..." He said. I smiled gratefully and nodded. He grinned and kneeled down. I hopped onto his back and wrapped my arms around his neck. He stood up with no effort and I squealed as he jumped a bit, making me jerk up as well.

"Thanks for this." I said. He nodded and I could almost feel his huge smile.

"No problem, sweetheart." I smiled with a light blush.

"Now let's get you home."

"My god, I'm extremely tired!" I yelled as we continued walking. Jack grumbled.

"You aren't even walking!" He exclaimed and lightly elbowed me. I gasped and pouted.

"It's tiring being on your back, you know." I snapped. I squealed loudly when I'm suddenly thrown down to the floor. I groaned as I closed my eyes in pain.

"Bloody hell, what was that for?" I snapped. I opened my eyes to see Jack's blue one's boring into mine. He was chuckling. He pointed out towards the castle again.

I grinned as I realized what it was. The familiar tall building that I spent my summers in.

"See? Look there's the village. We're almost there." Jack said and I smiled.

"Yes we are."

Peter Pan

"I'm not saying that she could take you down... but in other words, she totally can." Alejandro frowned and tackled Liam down. The Lost Boys were arguing over who Adeline could take down again. I rolled my eyes as I watched the 18 year old's try to take each other down.

"My money's on Alejandro." Oakley whispered to Foster as he handed him a coconut shell filled with red rum.

"I'll do your half of the chores if he wins." Oakley gambled and Foster licked his lips to get the final taste of the rum. Foster looked at Oakley and grinned widely.

"I'll take that action." He mumbled and they shook hands.

They watched for a couple more minutes until Liam pinned down Alejandro. Foster beamed and turned to Oakley with a satisfied face.

"Enjoy doing my chores, good sir." He said and walked away, leaving Oakley both astonished and angry at Alejandro that he lost.

"Pan, a word with you." Felix suddenly said as he walked out of the forest. I stood to my feet and followed him to the wishing hole, too small to be a lake, too big to be a puddle. It gave Neverland connections to the other realms. It gave me the power to know all and see all.

"What is the matter this time? Did the ogres start another war?" I asked completely annoyed. He shook his head and pointed over to the water. I looked in.

A frown instantly covered my face as a familiar giggle and laugh filled my ears.

It was Adeline. She was getting a piggy back ride from some raven haired kid. She laughed at some joke he had said. Her eyes were shut together, her mouth in a wide smile, her nose scrunched up as the most melodious sound escaped her lips. It made me furious that someone else had the opportunity to hear her laugh. I began to turn red as I watched Adeline being carried by some other boy.

"Pan?"

My thoughts scampered off when Felix said my name. I kept calm on the outside, but inside, I was ready to watch someone bleed.

"He saved her. There was a man, by the name Jay Hill who tried to sexually abuse her. His brother, Jack Hill, stopped him from doing so and managed to escape from his sight with Adeline. He's now helping the princess get home and they are... traveling faster than you anticipated." He informed. I growled and turned towards him sharply.

"At their rate, when do you predict they'll arrive at Camelot's castle?"

"In less than 2 hours Pan." I scowled and hit a tree, causing a loud boom to extend throughout the island.

"He'll ruin the plan." I muttered under my breath.

"What time is it in Camelot?"

"It's, um... half past mid day. If she gets there. She will have a full day and a half to spend with her family."

"That's more time than what I planned. Can we somehow stall her?"

"I honestly don't see a way." Felix answered. I stayed quiet and he suddenly cleared his throat. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"I know you probably don't want to hear this, but Adeline is smarter than you give her credit. She managed to make more ground without her magic than any of us would've guessed." He said and I frowned.

"You're right, I don't like what you said. Beat it Felix. Leave me alone." I snapped. He nodded and walked away. I turned back to the water and saw Adeline looking at this 'Jack' with a gleam in her green eyes.

"Jack Hill, you're gonna wish you never saved Adeline Mills."

"Here we are your majesty, the kingdom of Camelot!" Jack exclaimed as we came upon the brick bridge of Camelot. It led straight into the kingdom and I laughed happily as I realized how close I was. I jumped off of Jack's back and grabbed his hand, pulling him along.

"Come on Jack, we're so close!"
I squealed and dragged him along. I began running straight to the castle.

I saw the familiar golden gates and I felt a tingle of happiness rise up in me... only to be stopped by the royal guards.

"Halt! Identity?" One guard demanded. I frowned and straightened my posture.

"Princess Adeline of Oz, daughter of Queen Zelena of Oz. I seek my aunt, Queen Regina and my father, King Robin of Camelot." I said loudly and clearly. He seemed suspicious of me, as if he didn't believe me.

"Prove it. Prove you're the princess. Do some magic." He commanded and I frowned.

"I don't have my magic. This leather cuff doesn't allow my magic to flow. Peter Pan placed it on me."

"Then remove it." I rolled my eyes at his stupidity and crossed my arms.

"Don't you think I've tried? He wouldn't of put this thing on me if he knew I would be able to remove it myself! Now move and let me see my aunt before I have your head on a spike!" I snapped. The guard looked furious and grabbed my arm and began to yank me.

"Hey! Let her go!" I heard Jack yell.

"Throw the both of them in the dungeon! They are speaking madness!" The guard commanded to another guard. The second guard nodded and saluted.

"Yes sir. Right away sir." He grabbed my arm and began to pull me away.

"Bloody hell let me go! Regina! Mum! Get your arses out here and help!" I screamed. They suddenly gagged me and one guard threw me over his shoulder. I squirmed and tried to scream but the cloth prevented any noise from leaving.

After a couple of minutes, I began to recongized the floor of the dungeons. And I'm met by cold, hard floors when the guard threw me into a cell, along with Jack. I yanked the cloth away and began to scream with fury.

"You will pay for this! I swear it on my name, I will destroy all of you!"
