Chapter 16

Chapter 16: Orientation (Part 1)

DAY 1~ Fighting Skills

Adeline Mills

When I was little, I wanted to be a boy.

Hold on, I'll explain.

When I was about 5 years old, my father taught me to use a bow and arrow for the first time. I, of course, enjoyed every moment and now, I'm an expert in the art of archery. My mother thought otherwise. She used to say a lady shouldn't use a bow or any type of weapons, except for magic. She didn't allow me to go camping with my dad and the merry men, she didn't let me get dirty, she didn't let me go sailing with Hook, and because of these actions, now I had no clue how to sword fight. I always thought boys got the better end of the stick, in other words, boys had more advantages. So I hated the fact that I was a girl. I never thought girls would have a weapon against boys.

But today, Felix taught me otherwise.

I had the upper hand this time. I had the ability to enhance them without even realizing it. I was a girl!

To be honest, I would never really use my... curves as a distraction or weapon. But it's either this or a cage and no more memories.

And the way I see it, they can look but not touch. It's a win-win.

After three days of practicing with Felix, today was my first test.

Fighting skills.

I sat in a tent that Pan had claimed was mine. It was actually Pan's, him not wanting to give me my own.

"You are going to be my queen, Adeline. You have to get used to sleeping in the same tent as I. As your king."

I placed on a v-neck t-shirt and slipped on some shorts. Not too short but short enough to distract. I slipped on ankled combat boots and threw my hair into a messy fishtail braid.

As I gave myself an inspirational speech in my head, I took a deep breath and walked out the door.

As I made my way to the training area, I saw Pan standing there with a couple of other boys. He smirked when he saw me and walked up to me.

"Looking lovely as ever, my darling." He said. I rolled my eyes and scowled.

"Let's just get this over with." I said monotune. He chuckled and whistled loudly. Instantly, more boys came out of the forest and into the clearing, creating a circle around me. As I looked around, I'd say about 15 lost boys. 17 including Felix and Pan.

"First runner up, Micheal!" Pan yelled. Cheers rang around and I was pushed to the middle of the dirt ring. I turned towards the kid and nearly chocked at how young he was.

"No, no way! Peter, he's barely 6 years old!" I protested loudly. He smirked while shrugging.

"He's the first runner up. Now go, beat him down." Pan said while carelessly waving his hand. I looked down to Micheal who avoided my gaze.

"No, that's called child abuse! I won't beat down a kid!" I yelled again. Pan rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"Fine. Will you use one of your freebies?" He asked and I nodded my head rapidly.

"Alright then, next is Tootles!" Another young boy walked into the circle. He's not even taller than my waist!

"Are you kidding me, Pan?! He's just a kid!" I snapped angerily.

"Oh my god, Addy! All you have to do is push him down, love!" Pan yelled at me. I gasped and frowned.

"No! I want to use another one of my freebies!" I yelled. He rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Fine then. Next!" He yelled. As Tootles walked back to his spot, another boy, definitely much older then the first two walked into the ring.

"Alright John. Begin!" Peter commanded the thirteen year old boy. I awkwardly stood there, not really knowing what to do.

"Come on, Addy! Move!" Felix yelled. I frowned.

"I don't want to hurt him!" I yelled back. The boy suddenly swung a punch and I ducked just in time, swishing my leg against his, making him fall to the dirt ground. I quickly jumped to my feet and pinned him down. He huffed in defeat and cheers were surrounding me.

"I'm so sorry." I whispered quietly to the boy as the cheers around me increased.

"Point for Adeline! Well done, love!" Pan said and clapped along. I got off the poor boy and held out my hand, lifting him off the ground. He smiled shyly and walked back to the circle made by the Lost Boys.

"Next is Damien!" A boy, I'd say about 14 years old, walked out of the circle. I frowned when I saw him staring at my chest.

"Up here, bub." I said and pointed to my eyes. He blushed and shook his head, and got into fighting position.

"And fight!"

~

After beating Pockets, Oakley, Oliver, Foster, Alejandro (the Spaniard from a far away land called Spain), Liam, Devin, Cuppy (who almost crushed me to death by sitting on me), Rufio, and Nibs, Pan gave me a quick break.

Down to the last 3.

Slightly, Felix, and Peter Pan.

"Alright, love, you're almost done. Slightly, you're up!" I stood up and wiped the dirt off my shorts. After literally pushing my breasts up against Alejandro, Liam, and Rufio, I was glad to finally have a break and not have to use my chest as a distraction. All I had to do was hit Slightly on his ankle.

I looked up to meet the blond's hazel eyes and he smirked.

"Ready, princess?"

"Bring it on, Blondie." I taunted. I threw the first punch and he grabbed my arm and flipped me over. I gasped in pain as I hit the hard ground. I quickly get to my feet only to be knocked down by Slightly again. I groaned and as I laid on the ground, I kicked his ankle and he immediately fell to the ground, in pain.

"Adeline wins! Felix you're next!" As Rufio dragged Slightly away, Felix took his spot, smirking at me.

"Bring it on, Addy." As he speed walked towards me I stopped him just by throwing myself on him. He fell back and landed on his back, me landing on his chest. I raised an eyebrow at him and smiled.

"Hi there." I whispered at him, slyly. He laughed and shook his head, clearly amused. As he was about to say something, Pan cut him off.

"Okay, point for Adeline." Pan hissed out.

"Now, get off of him!" He yelled darkly. I rolled my eyes and pushed myself off of Felix. If I didn't know any better, Pan just gave me that round so I would get off of Felix.

Eh, whatever works.

"Final round. It's just you and me baby." Pan said as he walked in the middle of the circle. Cheers echoed through the clearing as me and Pan began circling each other.

He suddenly curled up his fingers and conjured up a fireball. My eyes widened and I screamed at him,

"Bloody hell, no magic allowed!" I shouted as I do a duck-and-roll when he began to throw a fireball in my direction. He chuckled and shook his head.

"You have to be able to fight and win against anything, including magic." He said. As he threw another one, I duck-and-rolled towards him and knocked him off his feet. He fell sitting up and I quickly stood up. Just when I thought I had won, he disappeared with magic. I frowned as I looked around, the Lost Boys just as confused as I was. As I turn again, I squealed in surprise as Pam suddenly wrapped his arms around me and secured me tight. I squirmed in his grasp and tried my hardest to get loose but he had an iron grip.

"Now, now, love. Calm your senses." He whispered in my ear. I obeyed and decided it was time to use my second advantage towards boys, or Pan specifically.

The affection of the girl he wants.

I leaned over and slowly kissed his neck, making my way up to his jaw. He groaned, and just as I was about to kiss his lips, I pulled away. He whined softly and opened his eyes. I winked at him and smiled victoriously.

"I believe I win, Peter Pan."
