"not yet"

when the day started for yeonjun, it was nothing but normal: his mornings, his ventures, his conversations, his studies, and his love notes. nothing was out of the ordinary—which yeonjun found justifiable because... well, nobody really knows that there will be a last.

even soobin who was so close to calculating how much notes yeonjun needs to woo taehyun 'til his heart goes in mayhem. and maybe, a part of yeonjun blames soobin for not stopping him from his antics like he always does.

"funny—yeonjun hyung's notes remind me of the confession letters you get from the radio show," yeonjun overhears beomgyu's voice once. it was after classes, he swiftly pasted the note on taehyun's locker before rushing to his nearest hiding spot because he heard footsteps not too far.

yeonjun wishes that he should have chosen to run than to stay hidden and eavesdrop on a conversation about his love language.

"these multiple love letters are tiring me out and making me uncomfortable as fuck. i just don't know how to ask them to stop," taehyun's voice echoed through the empty hallways, much similar to yeonjun's wishes to hear him laugh loud enough to reach his classroom from a few doors away.

embarrassment and disappointment washes over him. yeonjun was never fond of persistent confessions from people he was never even close with and suddenly it dawns on him.

is he any better?

"i thought you rejected a bunch of them already, tyun."

"not everyone, not yet."

yet. it would have happened sooner or later, but yeonjun just beat him to it... how does he even react to a rejection never made yet?

when taehyun and beomgyu left after a closing of the locker door, yeonjun curled in a ball and thought about the fact that he's given taehyun a note today... and he regrets leaving him the first.
