(Y/n)'s POV

I ran through town on all fours, getting the attention of as many savage hybrids as I could. They all chased after me like zombies running after a group of survivors. When I was sure I had all of them following me, I began heading toward the center of town.

Suddenly, I looked to my left and saw Nara gaining on me. She slashed at me with her claws, thankfully missing. An electrical surge emanated from my body, knocking her backwards.

I looked up and saw Rex running along the rooftops. He pounced down at me. I moved to the side to dodge his attack and he tumbled to the ground with me leaving him in the dust.

I arrived at the center of town and climbed up the old clock tower until I was on the roof, about a dozen hybrids began climbing up the sides of the build. I covered my ears on top of my head with one of my arms and took a deep breath. I blew into the whistle as I could. All the hybrids climbing up the clock tower grabbed the sides of their heads and fell back down to the ground.

I stopped and all the hybrids started looking around, confused. I looked at the whistle in my hand, and without any hesitation, I crushed into pieces.

(Y/n): that's enough of that.

???: (Y/N)!

I looked to my left and saw Kyanna, Cody, Erma, Kestin, and Nomad running over to me. Kyanna climbed up the tower by digging her fingers in between the bricks that made up the building. I helped her up onto the roof and we stood side by side.

Kyanna: looks like it worked.

(Y/n): yeah.

At that moment I saw in my peripheral vision. I looked and saw something coming over the hill just beyond the town. I shouted down at Erma.

(Y/n): hey Erma, you got any binoculars on ya.

She reached into her bag, pulled out a pair of binoculars and threw them up to me.

I caught them and looked through them. Over the hill came an army of claws of dala members with A-24 and the 2 other hybrids on the front lines.

(Y/n): we got company.

I handed the binoculars to Kyanna and she looked through them. She gasped.

Kyanna: what do we do?!

I looked down at all the hybrids.

(Y/n): hey!

The all just sat there, looking around like lost animals.

(Y/n): HEY!

They still wouldn't respond.

(Y/n): for God's sake! REX, YOU OUT THERE?!

I saw Rex run over to the clock tower and climbed up to me.

Rex: yeah?

(Y/n): I need to get their attention, think you can help?

Rex cracked his knuckles.

Rex: oh, can I?

Rex turned to the crowd of hybrids and inhaled. Me and Kyanna both covered our ears, knowing what he was about to do. Rex then let out an ear shattering roar that made the whole building shake. All the hybrids look up at us. I finally had their attention.

(Y/n): LISTEN UP! THE CLAWS OF DALA ARE ON THEIR WAY HERE WITH AN ARMY! IF THEY SUCCEED IN THEIR PLANS EVERYTHING'S GONNA FALL INTO CHAOS! HOWEVER, I KNOW THAT WE CAN STOP THEM! I KNOW THAT WE HAVE THE POWER TO COMPLETELY DESTROY THEM! THEY'RE THE ONE WHO MADE US WHO WE! THEY GAVE US OUR POWERS AND TURNED US INTO WEAPONS! I SAY WE SHOW THEM WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ALL THEIR HARD WORK BACKFIRES AND SHOOT THEM IN THE FACE!

A bunch of hunters joined the crowd and started listening to what I had to say!

(Y/n): IF WE COOPERATE, HUMAN AND HYBRID! WE CAN BE UNSTOPPABLE! PANDORA MIGHT HAVE THE ADVANTAGE OF NUMBERS, BUT HYBRIDS HAVE THE POWER OF 20 MEN IN 1! SO WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO IS TEAR THEM TO SHREDS AND FIGHT! LIKE! HEEEEEEELL!

All the hybrids and hunter began cheering and chanting "FIGHT LIKE HELL! FIGHT LIKE HELL!" I felt Kyanna put her hand on my shoulder.

Kyanna: I guess this makes you the king of the hybrids.

(Y/n): na, not a king...

She looked at me, curious as to what I was talking about.

(Y/n): ...an alpha.

She smiled at me. Suddenly, she grabbed me by the collar and pull our faces together. She kissed me and I leaned into it. We separated and we heard Cody yelling up at us.

Cody: SINCE WHEN WAS THIS A THING?!

(Y/n): since 2 weeks ago. What you jealous or something?

Kyanna immediately started laughing hysterically. Cody just shook the head and laughed as well. I turned back to crowd in front of me.

(Y/n): NOW LET DO THIS!

They all simultaneously cheered.

Me and my army of hybrids and hunters stomped through the streets of our town and we began to see Pandora's army in the near distance. We stopped walking and our adversaries did the same. Me and A-24 raised one hand with our palms open. We stared each other down before closing our fists and watching as our armies ran past us.

I saw A-24 leap onto a roof and started heading out of town. I turned to the rest of my team.

(Y/n): I'll handle A-24, you guys keep the other 2 busy.

They nodded

Kyanna: hold on...

I turned to Kyanna for a second. She reached behind her and handed me my dual blades.

Kyanna: you might need these.

I took them and put them on my back. Everyone scattered and I went after A-24.

Finn's POV

Me and Rex ran through town, looking for one of the 2 hybrid from the claws of dala.

Rex: ok, where's that rathalos piece of shit. I got a score to settle with him.

???: Looking for me?

We both turned and saw that rathalos hybrid perched on a flagpole.

R-45: after all the trouble you and your friends caused, I see nothing wrong with turning you two into a pile of ash.

I was about to walk forward and teach him a lesson, but Rex placed his hand on my chest, making me stop in my tracks. I looked at him, surprised. Rex walked forward and cracked his neck. I looked on in suspense, waiting for what he was about to do.

Rex: you ain't goin' do...SHIIIIIITTT! You ain't goin' do...SHIIIIITTTTT!

I face palmed. He was practically singing at this point.

Rex: you...ain't...goin' do shit. You ain't goin' do.....you...ain't...goin' do shit.

Finn: Rex, if we survive this I'm gonna kill you.

(Y/n)'s POV

I followed A-24 out of town and followed her up the side of a cliff. I got to the top and saw her standing a few yards from the edge.

A-24: I'm glad YOU'RE the one who decided follow me. If you had sent any of your lackeys after me I would've slaughtered them.

(Y/n): they're not my lackeys, they're my friends.

A-24: call them what you want. Either way they won't make it out alive when we're done here.

I took my blades off of my back and she unsheathed her longsword.

(Y/n): I'll say it one more time. It doesn't have to be this way.

She pointed her sword at me.

A-24: your the only one standing in mistress Pandora's way, but I not gonna kill you for her sake. If I kill you I can finally forget all those haunting memories I've gained from an entire decade of torture and torment. You abandoned me in that place and left me to suffer for years on end, and what did you do about it? You spent your time hunting and laughing with your "friends".

(Cue the music)

She ran at me and swung her sword. I ducked under her swing and retaliated by kicking her in the chest. She staggered back and went for a piercing attack. I managed to dodge it, but her blade grazed my side. She swung at me for a second time, but I flipped over her attack and started swinging my blades frantically with her struggling to parry each strike. Sparks came off of our blades everytime I struck.

She backed away and landed one clean slash across my torso. The gash went from my right shoulder all the way down to my left hip. I managed to get back up. She went for an overhead strike, but I managed to block her attack by crossing my blades and holding her back. I could see a look of fury and rage in her eyes.

(Y/n): I'M TELLING YOU, SHE SEES YOU AS NOTHING BUT A TOOL!

A-24: WHY SHOULD I BELIEVE YOU?! YOU ABANDONED ME IN THAT PLACE AND LEFT ME TO SUFFER FOR YEARS ON END, AND WHAT DID YOU DO ABOUT IT?! YOU SPENT YOUR TIME LIVING IN YOUR SENTIMENTAL DREAMS!

She pushed her sword towards me with more force. The blade of her sword was just and inch away from my face I turned my blade to the right as hard as I could and with one loud, metallic snap...the blade was separated from the hilt. The blade clattered as it hit the ground.

A-24 looked at the broken hilt that she was still holding. She quickly dropped the hilt and her fist was surrounded by red lightning. She punched me in the jaw, causing me to stagger back and accident drop my dual blades. She quickly kicked them over the side of the cliff before I could pick them back up.

(Y/n): looks like I'll have to resort to hand to hand combat.

I took a fighting stance and composed myself. A-24 threw another electrified punch, but I blocked it with my forearm. I threw roundhouse kick her way, but she duck underneath it and swept my feet, making me fall flat on my back. She picked up the broken blade of her sword and tried to stab me with. I grabbed her by wrist, she had the blade pointed directly at my throat. I bent my leg and buried my knee into her gut. She winced in pain and dropped the blade. I grabbed it and threw it off the edge of the cliff. I got back up and she did as well.

We looked at each other, breathing heavily. Our eyes flared up with lightning as our anger continued to grow. We both howled and thunderbugs and dracophage bugs alike swarmed around us. We charged at each other and pulled back our fist. When we were closed enough to each other, we both simultaneously threw a punch. Our fists collided and an electrical shockwave surged from us.

We continued to throw punch after punch as red and blue lighting emanated from our bodies. The ground beneath us began to crack as a small crater began to from all the shockwaves. A-24 threw another punch, but I ducked under it and used this chance to sneak up behind her. I placed each of my hands on either side of her abdomen and zapped her with a thousand volt of electricity.

A-24 dropped to her hands and knees as smoke came off of her body. I walked in front of her.

A-24: no...no. I've been training for year to finally take my revenge on you, but all that time was waisted. Mistress Pandora told me that I was the one...I was supposed to be the one who brought this world to it's knees.

She began sobbing as tear started pouring from her eyes.

A-24: but now... I'm the one whose been brought down.

I sighed as I looked down at her.

(Y/n): it's over, we don't need to fight anymore.

A-24: no...I-I can't stop. mistress said inorder to experience true freedom I have to help her make this world into a better place. She said human are a plague on this world and making them extinct would transform it into a paradise.

(Y/n): did it ever occur to you that she might be lying?

She looked up at me, eyes wide in surprise. She sat up on her knees and wrapped her arms around herself. Tear started pouring from her eyes even hard.

A-24: I've spent the past 10 years listening and believing every word she said. She was like a mother to me. Her words gave me hope and...NOW YOUR TELLING ME IT WAS ALL A LIE?!

I hesitantly nodded. She shut her eyes and began straight up balling her eyes out. I knelt down in front of her and wrapped my arms around her in a hug. Her body tensed up from the sudden contact.

A-24: after all I've done, after all the people I've hurt, how can you still be so...kind to me.

(Y/n): I believe everyone deserves a second chance, especially if they've been lied to.

she slowly began to relax. I felt her put her arms on my back and start crying into my shoulder.

A-24: thank you. *sobs* thank you.

I stood back up and presented my hand to her.

(Y/n): if you really want to be forgiven, then help us take down Pandora...sister.

Her eyes widen at that last part. She took my hand and I helped her up. I then looked at her and thought for a bit.

(Y/n): hmm

A-24: what?

(Y/n): it's just that if you're gonna be on the team you need a proper name instead of A-24.

I kept thinking until I finally came up with something.

(Y/n): how does Scarlet sound?

Scarlet: um, sure?

(Y/n): alright, now let's go get your friends.
