'you'll never know' whispers ...

The room was blurry and every time I moved my head streaks of colors from the dull room followed.

'Never know'

"Wha who are.." I couldn't speak

My head whipped around everywhere but only blurs followed.

The whispers got louder.

'NEVER!!'

I shot up in bed screaming and Yukio shot up next to me.

"Y/n!! Y/n!!"

I curled my legs into my chest and hugged them all in the while hiding my now wet face from Yukio.

The raspy whispered voice echoed in my head, Never know.

"Are you alright?" He asked calmly as he rocked to calm me.

"Yeah... Just a night terror.." I mumbled.

"What was it about?"

"I don't know know.. I was in a dull room and I couldn't move anything but my head. I couldn't speak either. Someone kept repeating revised versions of 'You'll never know' or they left words out. I don't know who, their voice was too whispered to recognize..." I explained.

He kept hugging but got out of bed a moment later. He changed have s shirt into his white work shirt and black pants.

"We're going to see Mespisto." He said firmly.

"Yukio! It was just a-"

"That wasn't just a night terror!" He raised his voice but lowered it after seeing it was 5 in the morning. "We need to find out if he know anything about this."

I pouted, "Fine."

"I'll get you pocky afterwards." This had caught my attention. I bounded to the door.

"Alright!" I transformed into a Sidhe and jumped onto his shoulder.

'Let's go!'

"We have to call Sheimi to watch them when they wake up."

'Then call her! I'm ready for da pocky!'

Yukio dialed her number and within 10 minutes she was at our house ready for the day. Such a sweet girl... I'm surprised she isn't married yet...

"Thanks again Sheimi, we should be back soon." Yukio thanked.

"Anything for a friend!" She replied cheerily.

Yukio shut the door behind us and went into the car and started it.

Time skipe to the academy

"Mephisto! We need some answers!"

"Why else would you be here..?" He said oddly.

"Y/n just had a night terror and someone kept saying she'll never know. She doesn't know what they mean but they said it in various ways." He explained.

I transformed back to my human form with ears and tail- Which I learnt to control- "Actually.. I've been wondering why I'm half demon and angel. How does that even happen?"

"Uh well that's complicated my dear." Mephisto said.

"That's not what I meant. Don't they repel each other or something?"

"That's also not what I meant. It's complicated because your parents were only demons after your brother was born. They hid it because there son was becoming an Exorcist and they'd do anything to live." He explained.

"So you're telling me, I was only demon because they got possessed after they had Bon but recently before me?" I asked.

"You are correct hun!"

"Please, stick with 'my dear' would you.."

He seemed to sink a little but bounced back, "Anything else?"

"Were did the angel come from?" Yukio butted in.

"Ah, well.. I'll need to speak privately with you for that Mr. Okumura." He said suggestively.

Yukio glanced at me and I gave him a look that told him to be careful but listen to him.

They walked out of his office and around the corridor. I waited patiently for them to return.

Yukio POV

"Why did we need to talk privately?" I asked suspiciously.

"Oh yes! This information could be detrimental to her mental health and cause her to use her powers negatively if heard my her."

"I see. Thank you for thinking of her. So how did she get angel?" I asked.

"Hm well you see, there was a war between angels and demons. More specifically God and Satan. And all fallen demons picked a human to possess. Seeing the possessions today a lot perished and are regaining strength. Though only one angel fell in that war. This angel was named Lilah."

"So... You're saying my daughter, is the reincarnation of a fallen angel?" I continued.

"Yes! And a powerful one at that! That's also what drove her to name her that!"

"So does Y/n still have the angel powers?"

"Hm, yes and no. She has the power but now I will only happen in the most desperate of times. But now, Lilah is the only angel living on earth. And she is the angel to return to Heaven." He stirred his instant Raman and stared down.

"So... She'll always be in some sort of trouble. And why would Y/n use her power badly if she heard this?"

"She would, as a mother, at any costs; keep her daughter safe." He looked up and his piercing green eyes met my teal ones. "Even if it means murder."

I thought this over. She can tell what we're feeling so she'll know we're lying. But who does she not have a close relationship with enough to where she can't feel their feelings?

"Ah not to worry! I'll tell her that in the heat of the moment an angel granted her powers since she was a large part in her friends life." He said smoothly as if he knew this was coming an planned this out.

"Alright. Let's go before she gets suspicious."

Y/n POV

I scouted the room and found Amaimon in his cage. I listened carefully to my surroundings and quickly gave him a lollipop. The little green hamster squeaked and took it from my hands. I smiled slightly and watched and kept my fingers through the cage bars. He then set his lolli down and came to my hand and gave it a tiny lick.

"Awe thank you Amaimon. That was sweet."

He stared at me for a few seconds as to say something and turned back to his lolli. Just then the door opener to reveal Yukio amd Mespisto.

"Y/n. When you were kidnapped and Angel gave you powers to escape because you're such a large part in your friends life. Do you understand?" Mespisto explained.

"Oh... Yeah I understand.. So why did that thing say I'd never know?" I asked.

"Ah! I'm guessing the angel had to let you know eventually. So it got your attention with night terrors."

"Ah... Ok.. Thank you Mespisto!" I said cheerfully.

"You're welcome my dear."

Yukio POV

Whew she bought it.

"Ready to go home Y/n?" I asked her.

"Yup! Also, give Amaimon more lollis. He loves those." She waved behind her and walked out the door.

time skipe

Y/n had fallen asleep in the car by the time we got there. So I softly unbuckled her and picked her up. I walked carefully to our front door and knocked. Sheimi opened the door quickly but quietly. It seems the kids are still asleep.

"Hey.. Thanks for coming on such sort notice. She just had an odd night terror and we needed answers." I explained.

"Oh I see! Also, it was no problem. The kids are still asleep." her quiet voice responded.

We said our farewells and I walked quietly to our room an I set her down. I covered her with the fluffy comforter we had and tucked her in. I gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"I will love you forever and
always." I stated quietly.

"Always?" The faintest whisper came from her.

I smiled warmly, "Always."
