chapter eighteen

"I am so sorry, Catherine, I never meant to fall in love with The King, I never meant for any of this to happen." Katarina let out the tears she felt since Catherine entered the room. Henry would never change his ways.

"My child, do not fret. I have never seen Henry so happy. Better you then the whore Anne Boleyn." Catherine spat. " My child, do not cry. Henry does not love me, he loves you." Catherine spoke with some sadness in her voice, she still loved henry.

"Is love enough? I destroyed your marriage- ripped your daughter away from you." Katarina spoke. "Henry has a wandering eye, I can't stop that."

"I've never seen Henry look at someone as he looks at you. " Catherine politely told her with a warm motherly smile. "Henry is in love with you, which I've never seen before. Not even with Anne." She said sincerely. "But you must give him a chance. I have heard the prophecy about you my child. I was told it as a girl, but i did not think it would come true. You will change the fate of England. The woman of the future." She said, Katarina was shocked beyond compare.

"How? Yes, i am from the future. Where their is barely any royalty and England's monarch has barely any power over UK laws."  Katarina announced. "Your words of wisdom have given me more faith in Harry."

"He lets you call him harry?" Catherine asked with a shocked voice, her face almost said and surprised. "He hasn't been called Harry since his mother died." This time Katarina felt her heart swell with happiness at the idea of Henry actually letting her in.

"I think we should both head back, before they loose their wigs."  Katarina joked. But noticed the strange look on Catherine's face. Linking her arm with Catherine's, "I believe that we are going to be the best of friends." And headed back to the party.
