slight cursing⚠️

Jay and Cole sat by the dock for a while more until they felt like they were wasting time, they got up and walked out of the town. Jay jumped to the other side quickly followed by Cole, the two stood by the lake until Jay released the path out, this time Jay felt half of his energy slip away but he shook it off and smiled "alright!let's go!" he declared walking ahead, the two made their way through the dense forest. pushing leaves and bushes out the way, "so..." Jay started after a while of walking "have you seen... the other since the merge?" he asked scratching the back of his head "yeah but only once, they asked if i wanted to go with them but i said no" "what? why?" "i saw the ghost of master wu, he was trying to get me to follow him, Nya understood so i left" "oh, master wu...?" "our sensei" "uh... right..." "oh for the first spinjitzu master, dammit" Cole sighed, Jay shrugged and kept walking, how much farther?" Cole groaned "let me see" Jay said taking out the map, he looked and saw they weren't actually that far from the caves. He put the map away and turned to Cole, "not far, we should be there in maybe a few hours" Jay said slightly smiling. Cole nodded and continued, Jay felt something like as if he was being pulled forward something was calling him, something big.

 he felt his muscles tense up and his breathing take a sharp turn, he put a hand to his head and stood for a minute getting his breathing going normal again, he felt a hand on his shoulder Jay turned around and saw Cole standing behind him with a worried look on his face. "Jay are you alright?" he said his voice filled with worry, "oh- uh y-yeah i'm fine!" he said trying to smile "you, motor mouth are the worst liar i have ever come to meet" Cole said in a serious tone.

"heh, i guess i am" Jay said grinning sheepishly, he turned to look at Cole. "i'm not hurt or anything just a little tired, i swear" "you don't sound very convincing" Cole muttered as he crossed his arms, "hey! i sweared!" Jay said throwing his hands up in the air to show his point.

 "Yeah yeah i know, just... please tell me if something is going on with you that i don't know of" Cole said with a worried glance at Jay, "i make no such promises!" Jay declared "you're a child" "no i'm not!" "yes you are" "no!" "yes "no!" "no" Cole said smirking "yes!" Jay said before realizing what he said, "aw you son of a-" he said gritting his teeth as Cole laughed. "why do i always fall for that?!" Jay grumbled angrily as he stomped his foot, "cause you're a dumbass" Cole said sticking his tongue out "i am not!" "are too" "are not!" "are too" "are not!" "are not" "are too!- wait- oh sh!t, i hate you" Jay said slightly banging his head on a nearby tree "admit it" "shut up i'm not talking to you" "you just did" "shut up!"

Cole held his hands up in the air in defeat "whatever you say motor mouth" Jay groaned, he turned around to look at the raven haired boy. "let's just go" Jay said nodding his head to the path, "dang i got deja vu" "eh, same" Jay said as the two walked along side each other. after hours the two stopped dead, "i-i guess this is it" Jay said as he eyed the giant glowing cave in front of him "i guess so" Cole responded also a bit weary "let's go, we cant stay here all day, we went through all that work we cant give up now" Cole said trying to sound more confident that he actually was. "Yeah, lets go" so the two of them walked in. 

Blue crystals hung from the high ceiling, they didn't know this yet but a few beings were watching them not far behind. there were at least 10 of them hiding in the shadows, the two boys didn't notice the beings that were slowly closing in on them until one their stalkers hit a lose rock. the two boys wiped around, in front of them were 10 weird creatures, they had bright eyes with every color, that every few minutes would lit up with what looked like a mini lightning strike. the women had medium length hair that was either braided or let lose, they had crystal accessories and black tattoos on their arms of dragons and old villages, an older male stepped up. He was holding a night sky back sword. on of the women next to him said something in a language neither Jay nor Cole could understand.

the older male turned to them "so you have arrived" Jay, who had his hands in tight fits looked at the man in front of him with a suspicious look, "arrived?" he asked "yes, you are the master of lightning correct?" the man says slightly smiling "uh, yes i am" "good good, allow me to introduce myself. my name is Saphir, i am the leader of the lightning people a long with my wife" Saphir said "the-... lightning people?" "yes, most humans have never heard of us. we have been hidden for thousands of years never had a connection with humans or other beings, always stayed here. in the caves of lightning!" Saphir declared throwing his hands in the air as a strong thunder clap echoed throughout the cave. "

Jay jumped the sudden noise, "does that happen often?" Jay asked " the thunder? oh yes, but not as much as it used to i'm afraid the cave is slowly dying" "dying?" "yes, every 30 years a lightning master must return to the caves, face the trials, and bring life back to the cave. but...." Saphir sighed as he tried to explain "there always has to be a but" Cole said shaking his head "i'm afraid so, the last time the cave was given life was 48 years ago, by your mother" Jay winced at the mention of his birth mother. "and then she never came back, but now that you're here the cave can be saved!" Saphir said with a smile on his face "you said tests?" "in deed!" "i'm afraid to ask, but... what kind of tests?" Jay said  nervously. "there are three tests, physical, mental and elemental, the test change depending to each elemental master of lightning. your mothers test were extremely hard, so i suppose you as her son. will also have the same difficulty of tests" "just what i needed to hear" Jay muttered Cole put a reassuring hand on Jays shoulder, Jay smiled at Cole and sent him a quiet thank you to which he responded with a wink. "well um... i don't think you mentioned your name?"

"Jay, Jay walker. pleasure to meet you"

done! i hope you liked this chapter! i tried to make this on long so that just in case i can't write much this week this (maybe) could make up for it. i hope you all are doing ok, and if you're not i'm happy to listen!
