🌠 Chapter 39: Candy floss and unicorns 🌠

Dani's P.O.V

"AN AMUSEMENT PARK" I shout as we near a large area filled with all sorts of rides

Matthew chuckles and Thomas and Everton don't question my weirdness, Matthew finds a parking spot and parks, I hop out quickly feeling the excitement running in me

We all slowly walk towards the ticket booth, me silently squealing inside, I mean who doesn't like amusement parks?

There were two options to choose from, individual tickets per ride so pretty much meant you had to get a ticket for a every ride you did and a coloured band which allowed you to ride any ride unlimited

Of course Matthew had to get the bands which were more expensive, I didn't complain though, the lady placed the band around my wrist, luckily the lady at the booth didn't swoon over the boys

Damn I sound I like I own them

Screams filled the air and the smell of different carnival food, which just happened to make my stomach growl

I just ate Icecream
Seriously stomach?

I was glad none of the boys heard it because the screams and laughter kinda over took the noise, "which ride do you wanna go on first?" Matthew asks from my side

I look around and my eye catches a large rollercoaster, I smirk, back then Matthew never really handled large roller coasters like that,

I lifted my hand and pointed towards the ride, "that one" I could see Matthews Adam's apple bob up and down, "can't we go on a different ride?" Matthew complains

"Nah let's go on it!" Thomas squeals like a girl running through us and towards the ride, I laugh and watch Matthew pout

"Let's go" I say grabbing his arm, I turn to face Everton who stands there with a blank look on his face,

"Come on we are going to have So much FUN!" I scream capturing bystanders attention

Everton stands there before giving in with a smile, he runs past us and follows Thomas, I feel Matthews gaze on me and turn to him, his captivating green eyes are already staring back at me,

I feel my heart beating erratically and the slight feeling of overwhelment, suddenly ven pops into my mind,

The emotions start pouring in, I'm so confused on what I'm doing, my original plan was to stop ven getting in a relationship with Matthew, because of previous happenings, I don't want ven to get heartbroken because Matthew broke my own heart, which is slowly being stitched up again with the way Matthew has been treating me this past week and it hurts so badly,

But then suddenly the thought of ven fills me with anger and disgust but as far as I know ven has been nothing but good with me, she is an amazing best friend that I could ever had hoped for, I know she wouldn't  do anything to make me feel angry at her,

The pulling of my arm brings me back to reality and I realize I'm running towards the roller coaster

We get into the queue and stand behind Thomas and Everton who are chatting among themselves, I feel Matthews leg bouncing up and down beside my own bringing my attention towards him

I almost laugh at him as soon as I see his face but we are already in front of the line, I let a small giggle escape my lips and pat his broad shoulder "you'll do fine" I say assuringly and follow along hopping into the seat along in the cart

The guy standing at the front pushes Matthew towards the cart and I suppress a laugh as he climb in beside me, we pull on our seatbelts and the latch thing comes above and over our heads securely fastening us, the ride starts moving slowly,

Oh heck this is gonna be fun!

"Can you stop laughing?" Matthew snaps obviously annoyed by my continuous laughter

I wheeze and start laughing again, Everton and Thomas left us after the ride they apparently 'found a group of girls'

So that left me with Matthew which I momentarily enjoyed, I'm letting loose you know from the ropes that attach me to my heart strings, the ones that don't wanna break

You could say after the loopy and high ride Matthews face became pale as in really white pale, but that didn't stop his face from keeping his handsome look on

Jeez Dani seriously?

"You are the definition of annoying" Matthew decides to clarify, I laugh again "why thank you I like to do my job well" I reply

Matthew rolls his eyes, but you know my amazing laugh is so contagious he joined in so pretty much if you were standing a few meters away and watching us you would think we were pair of crazy people laughing our *donkeys* off

"Come on" Matthew says, his face has gone back to its normal shade, and he's regained his composure, Matthew starts walking before I can reply and I feel my heart beating immensely

Matthew goes to one of those booths where you have to play to get a stuff toy, I walk faster so I'm beside Matthew, my eyes light up when I see a giant fluffy unicorn hanging up

I feel like Agnes from despicable me but hey you got to love them unicorns

The guy standing by the booth looks bored, Matthew hands him a dollar, and the guy sighs "the objective of this game is to hit those aliens" he says pointing towards the aliens, he sighs again "hit two you get these" he says showing a bunch of cute toys hanged up along the bottom section "hit three you get these" he says gesturing towards the middle section where some larger animals hanged, he then sighs once again

I see Matthew getting impatient but I completely ignore him and see what he has to do to win the fluffy unicorn

Yeah him as in Matthew him

"Hit the middle one which is impossible and you get the unicorn" the guy says before pressing a button, the aliens start moving and Matthew place his hand on the gun

Matthew sighs in a bored tone, I watch carefully and he aims at the target, which just happens to be the middle one, I can't help but feel that Matthew won't get it and all the hope of getting my beloved unicorn is gone,

but my thoughts are lost when he pulls the trigger and the bullet soars through the air and bam hits the middle one, my eyes widen and my jaw drops, I could even see the guys who owned the booth jaw drop I mean he did say this was impossible right?

Matthew just smirks and the guy slowly takes a long hook and gets the unicorn from the top, his eyes still on Matthew, Matthew grabs it and turns to me I am beyond shocked as he hands the unicorn to me

But then again what will Matthew do with a unicorn?

I manage to say a thank you, he slings his arm around my shoulders, my mind can't even process a damn thing, I hold my yes my unicorn tightly in my arms and he steers me out of the way, I see people staring at us, normally I would find this completely awkward but now I'm actually enjoying this attention, My heart strings are being pulled and I'm feeling so, so in love?

What am I doing?, abort thought abort thought, ven could possibly be upset with this, not possible she will

Matthew goes in front of a stall and I watch as he buys cotton candy, wait cotton candy oh my gosh

He is handed two large clouds of sugary sweetness, which I might regret eating later in my life because I earn diabetes from too much sugar, but it's freakin candy floss

He walks towards me and I actually thought he was gonna give one to me but instead he looked around for a place to sit, but then when he did find a place for us to sit he sits down and I do to, and then he takes a very large biting of both cotton candies, I snatch one off him and glare at him

"Hey!" Matthew argues in a playful way, I stomp my feet childishly and look away, slowly eating the sugary goodness

Matthew chuckles "I'm sorry" he says, I look back around and see him pouting but that's not the thing the made me laugh it was the fact he had some pink stuff on his cheeks, I cracked up as he smeared more of the stuff onto his face, Im to busy laughing I didn't realize he started putting some of my candy floss on my face, I playfully glared at him before smearing some more onto his face, and our candy floss war began,

Just like how our water fight began, the feeling appears again making the heat rise to my cheeks

We suddenly found ourselves in a weird position, -well not really- my head resting on top of his shoulder and the unicorn which was amazingly un-affected by the candy lying on our laps, yeah it's that big, but neither of us made a move to change it

As if this couldn't get more cliche an elderly couple approached us, I smiled politely at them

"Naww Harold this reminds us when we were back youngsters having food fights and all" the old lady commented to her husband

Her husband smiled down at her "sure does" he replies looking in her wife's eyes in a loving way,

My smile only grows larger and my heart warms for this to-cute-to-be-true couple, "you guys are a cute couple you must love each other very much" the elderly lady says with a soft sigh

I want to tell her we are not a couple and that I don't love him but my insides are screaming

YOU WANT TO BE A COUPLE AND YOU LOVE HIM

Since when did I want to be in a relationship and especially be in love with Matthew knight?

The elderly couple walks away hand in hand and I can't help think what my future might be,

I also couldn't help feel my heart beating just at the thought of Matthew, the way his face immediately comes to mind, his ways, I suddenly feel like I'm missing something an urge to love someone

And that someone is Matthew Matthew knight, I inwardly face plan myself for being so stupid,

it's happening again I'm falling for him and I don't know what to do,

After the incident me and Matthew went to a few more rides until we got to the most typical cliche ride, yes the Ferris wheel, honestly I'm actually excited but with the thought of me falling for him again feels like pins inserting my heart one by one

We get into a carriage and it starts to move upwards, Matthew looks lost in his own world of thoughts, so I take the time to think as well,

I weighed down my options, loving Matthew is incredibly hard, especially since I've tried so hard to move on from our past relationship but I'm falling for him again

But then ven comes into play and I mentally go crazy, she's a human disguised as a problem, she's the opponent in chess whatever I think she's making her move, this was like a maze, I can't get out of this mess I pulled myself into,

The ferries wheel suddenly makes a stop at the top, well at least our carriage is at the top, I can see the floridas city shining brightly "it's beautiful" I whisper "sure is" he says making my thoughts go back to the elderly couple,

I smile at him and my heart flutters as he smiles back, he leans forward and grabs my hand, he's moves closer and I feel my heart pace up I can't keep up with it

He's gonna do it, go Dani!

His eyes are trained on mine as his face becomes closer and closer,

Oh who am I kidding? I don't let my brain control as my heart takes the leader role,

"your beautiful" he whispers before leaning closer so our noses touch,

Freakin hormones, red code dani red code

our carriage suddenly shakes violently throwing Matthew onto the ground, the things that scared me the most was that he hit his head hard on the ground. He makes no move but suddenly gets up after a while and I panic as he makes no word and sits with an impassive look,

my mind is buzzing.
