You did what?

Lexi and Adam met the boy's mother in the hallway, the older woman frowning softly when she saw the obvious distress in her sons eyes.

Her eyes however drifted to Lexi who was already clutching the boy's hand, rubbing circles with her thumb to calm him, Ann smiled in contentment knowing Adam had found someone other than his mother who could teach him what real love and care felt like.

The trio walked out towards the Banks family car, the couple sliding into the backseat. No matter how old they got Adam refused to sit in the front when Lexi was in the car, he always wanted to sit with her and be close to her.

"Thankyou for coming with me gorgeous; I'm so glad I have you" the girl muttered to her boyfriend, her head resting on his shoulder as they began the journey to her house.

Adam simply placed a kiss on the side of the girl's head causing her to smile, "you make me the luckiest guy in the world Lexi Conway" the boy spoke softly.

The couple sat in peaceful silence, Lexi absentmindedly playing with Adams fingers as he held his hand in hers, the only noise was the occasional comment from Ann Banks who smiled at the love of the young teens.

The women had known for years that they truly were one of those couples that was meant to be together forever.

It took about 15 minutes for the three to make it to North Hennipen Avenue. Lexi walked into her house quietly, her boyfriend trailing after her as per usual. Wherever there was a Lexi Conway there was always an Adam Banks close behind.

The couple just been dropped off by Mama Banks who begged Adam to come home and talk to his father soon, it had been months since they had had a proper conversation.

Adam looked unsure so his mother didn't push him, simply telling the pair she loved them before she continued to her driveway next door.

As Lexi headed inside her house the girl was praying Charlie wasn't home, she wasn't ready to tell him yet.

Lexi's constant bad luck struck again as she walked into the lounge room, jumping slightly as she saw her brother sitting and playing Mario kart.

The girl stood frozen, watching as her brother finished the race before he turned to her. Adam reached out and gently grabbed the girl's hand to comfort her.

Charlie sent them a smile, causing the girl to send a nervous one back, she'd been too busy worrying about herself and didn't think about how her brother would feel about the situation.

"Where have you guys been? I got home to finish UNO and no one was here, I had loads of draw fours I wanted to hit you with Lexi" the boy teased, the couple exchanged glances and Adam sent the girl a reassuring nod.

"Please don't be mad at me" the girl began, causing her brother to look at her in confusion. The girl felt anxiety grip her as her brother stared at her, waiting for her to continue.

"I went to see Josh" the girl muttered softly, she looked at Charlie, waiting for his facial expression to change, waiting for a reaction.

"You did what?" The boy questioned, not wanting to believe what the small girl had said.

Lexi repeated what she had said once again, watching nervously as the boy gritted his teeth, anger on his face.

The girl nervously squeezed her boyfriends hand as her brother stood up and made his way over to them, his tall figure towering over Lexi.

"You went to see him? Without telling me? My own father. What gives you the right to walk in there and see him before me, What do you have to talk to him about? why did you keep it from me?. You're not meant to be keeping secrets from your brother and supposed best friend Alexis, that's snakey" the boy spat, Lexi felt herself begin to panic, her and Charlie were finally in a good place and she ruined it.

"I-I'm sorry" the girl stuttered out, it was all she managed to say before tears began to drip down her face.

Adam looked to Charlie in disbelief, he didn't expect him to react this way. Either did Lexi who was beginning to shake as she frantically and repeatedly apologised to her brother.

"Sorry doesn't always cut it, sometimes your stupidity amazes me" Charlie ranted, he didn't mean anything he was saying, anger and confusion were taking hold of the boy.

"Hey!. Lay off man" Adam spoke as he gently placed his hands on the quivering girl's shoulders, causing Charlie to snap out of his rant.

The boy's eyes softened as he noticed how distraught the small girl was. She looked so innocent and once again Charlie's heart ached as he remembered how badly he had hurt her in the past, he had promised himself he'd never be like that again.

Charlie nodded to Adam, causing him to remove his hands from Lexis shoulders, the boy took two strides towards his sister and pulled her into a hug, smiling slightly as he felt her hands go around him and squeeze back.

"I'm sorry Char, I needed to see him. I needed to close that chapter of my life. I didn't do it to hurt you, I promise. He took so much from me, he took my life for so long and I just wanted to take some of it back, but the last thing I'd ever want to do is hurt you, I love you" the girl rambled quickly her tone extremely apologetic.

"It's okay Little Lex, I understand, I'm sorry I started yelling at you, I didn't mean it. I love you too" the boy spoke in a reassuring tone.

The girl pulled away, both siblings sharing a small smile causing Adam to let out a dramatic sigh of relief "oh thank goodness, I couldn't have dealt with Conway drama again" the boy teased.

Lexi and Charlie rolled their eyes, looking at each other briefly and coming to a non verbal agreement. The pair both reached out, punching Adam in his arms causing him to let out a small whimper of pain.

Lexi held her fist out to Charlie who smirked back and bumped his fist again hers.

Adam fake pouted causing Lexi to grin as she pulled the boy down and placed a kiss on his lips. "Better?" she teased.

The boy's pout turned into a grin as he sent her an over the top wink "loads better cutie" he spoke causing Charlie to pretend to throw up.

Lexi stuck her middle finger up at the boy causing him to fake offence and mutter something about making her draw 24 causing the girl's eyes to comically widen.

The three headed back up to Lexis bedroom, sprawling themselves on her bed as they commenced their heated UNO game. Much to Charlie's annoyance Lexi played a reverse card multiple times, managing to avoid most of the draw 4 cards.

It was around an hour later that Charlie had gone to his room to shower and Lexi found herself cacooned in a blanket, laying her head Adams legs as he gently played with her hair.

The girl closed her eyes and let out a
smile of contentment as she felt peaceful, the girl began to doze off, that was until she heard the doorbell ring.

With a dramatic groan Lexi popped her eyes open, sitting up as she tried to wake up slightly. "Damn people never appreciate my need for a decent sleep" the girl muttered to herself before turning her attention to Adam, who was already looking at her smiling fondly.

She simply sent a smile to her boyfriend, informing him that she would get the door. Lexi forced herself out of bed and rushed down the stairs, her blanket still wrapped tightly around her.

As she walked to the front door, she found herself grinning as she threw it open and saw who was on the other side.

"Guy!" The girl said as she tackled the boy in a hug, her blanket hitting the pavement.

The boy laughed slightly as he wrapped his arms around her.

"I missed you bestfriend" the girl singsonged as she rested her head on the boy's chest

"I missed you too, seeing you is my favourite part of the day " Guy muttered softly as he rested his chin on the girl's head.

Lexi noticed that his grip on her today was tight, he seemed almost desperate as he clung to her.

The pair pulled away and Lexi looked up at her friend, she frowned slightly as she looked at his eyes and noticed the pain in them.

Guy Germaine and Lexi Conway had been best friends for 10 years, they could read each other better than anyone else in the world, to anyone else the boy would seem fine, but to Lexi, the girl who knew him better than he knew himself it was obvious he had been crying.

"Are you okay?" She asked softly, careful not to push the boy, he wasn't the best at showing his emotions.

Guy took a shaky breath and shook his head, letting out a sad sigh, Lexi watched as his eyes brimmed with tears again and immediately wrapped her arms around him once again, hoping to provide a form of comfort.

Lexi continued to hold onto the boy, she wouldn't be the first to let go, she knew he'd pull away when he was ready.

"I need to tell you something" the boy muttered as he released the small girl.

The girl sent her best friend a grin, reassuring him that he could tell her about absolutely anything.

Guy nodded, doing his best to smile back. He swallowed slightly as he contemplated his next sentence.

"I'm moving" the boy stated sadly, causing Lexis grin to drop.
