Having a few days off with our lifestyles is a luxury so instead of just chilling at home as a family, we decided to fly out to Florida to spend sometime with Joelle. Sometimes it's easy to forget that we don't live close to eachother since we're always communicating over facetime but we all miss her dearly.

"I wish everyday was like this." Joe mumbles while kissing my head as we cuddle in bed. "So quiet and serene."

A small giggle leaves my lips, "We won't be having any moments like this once we have the babies."

"I know." Joe groans loudly. "This is what I get for having super sperm, twin pregnancies back to back."

I laugh loudly at his words as he chuckles before pulling my body closer to his.

"Do you want to know what I miss more?" Joe asks and I look up to meet his eyes which are staring intently into mine. "I miss us."

"Joe."

"I miss the days when it was just the two of us without all the responsibilities." He licks his lips. "I love our growing family more than anything but it's different when it's just us. That's not to say that things are dead between us but I would love for us to have more one on one time without worrying about anything." 

I nod my head in understanding, "I know what you mean."

Joe lightly caresses my face as we share a sweet kiss. 

We were able to get the boys down for a nap after an hour of playing in the pool and Joelle is doing some homework in her room. It's not often that we have a few precious moments for ourselves while at home with the twins so we decided to escape to our bedroom for some quiet time.

"Thank you for giving m another chance." Joe kisses my forehead. "I know I've apologised a million times for the shit that I've done but I honestly mean it from the bottom of my heart. I would be lost without you so thank you for coming back to me."

I find myself pulling away from Joe as I remember everything that we went through prior to us getting married. The amount of disrespect that I received from Joe and Galina to the fight that I got into with his ex wife was too much for me to handle.

Being told that he wish he never met me and that he didn't care about me really hurt my soul.

"I'm going to check on the boys." I clear my throat while adjusting my clothes. "I suggest that you should check in with your daughter and see if she needs any help with her homework."

Joe looks at me in confusion, "Why are you leaving?"

"I don't like thinking back to the time when you broke my heart and said all those awful words to me." I wrap my arms around myself. "You really hurt me and I know that you're sorry but I don't want to go back to that time."

"I'm sorry." He places his hands on my shoulders before kissing my neck. "I know it hurts but I never want you to think that I'm not sorry for my past actions. Our lives are getting busier by the day and we're spending more time apart than together. When you're alone at night, I don't want you to ever feel alone and that's why I want you to know how much I love you."

"You look so good in red." Joe slaps my bum as I walk past him with a tray of food and I give him a knowing look. "You better not be wearing anything under that little jumpsuit."

"Ew dad." Joelle covers her ears. "I'm at the freakin' table."

"Sorry babe." Joe laughs as he kisses her forehead. "Your momma is too damn irresistible, sometimes I forget that we're not the only people around."

Tonight we have decided to have dinner out on the balcony since we have an outdoor kitchen and the weather is really nice. I know that a few of Joe's family members and friends will be showing up later for some drinks.

I laugh as Joelle pulls a face, "Everybody tells me that my mom is hot."

It still feels weird to hear Joelle call me mom but I'm starting to get used to it.

Once the first tray is on the table, the twins start grabbing on the homemade chips and dipping into it the ketchup. I check to make sure that they are properly strapped in while Joe brings the salad and burgers that we made.

The tray consists of homemade chips, hot dogs and some chicken nuggets since the twins seem to love those. We made a pretty big portion since there is five of us eating and I don't feel like doing the dishes knowing that we're going to have guests later.

"YUMMY!" Joseph smiles big while rubbing his stomach and we all laugh at how happy he looks as he bites into his chicken nugget.

"Did mommy do good?" I ask him as I rub his back and he licks his lips while nodding his head. "That made mommy smile."

Thomas starts doing a dance which I know is to get some attention on him so we obviously give it to him.

"I make mommy smile." Thomas claps his hands while cheering and I lean over to kiss his cheek. 

Joe smiles while pulling out his phone and we all lean in for the pictures that he takes of us. 

"Next year there's going to be two more babies in this family so I want us to cherish all these precious moments now." He says while looking at each and every single one of us. "If you ever feel underappreciated then let us know because your happiness is our priority."

I give Joelle's hand a squeeze, "Anytime you feel like you want us to come on up to Florida or you want to come down to Beverly Hills then we will make the time to do it."

"That means a lot." Joelle gives me a small smile. "It's hard to be away from you guys."

"I know, sweetheart." Joe kisses the top of her head. "I wish you lived with us too but when the holidays come round, you're going to be with us the entire time."

"Just come visit more."
