Chapter 5

About two feet ahead of my eyes was Charles talking to someone. The guy's probably from the Survey Corps. I mean, the Wings of Freedom stitched at the front of his jacket was visible, just like as Charles told me. For a few fragile instants yesterday, Charles carefully explains to me about the history of the Survey Corps, Garrison, and The Military Police (which I believe, IS the shitty one). I took the road of being a cadet in the Survey Corps, making most of the people hear from my decision, " A great way to throw off a sucidal plan. Though luck."
I might have been on the verge side of death in the Survey Corps, yet I remain aware of my life.
When I finally restored my confidence and strength, Charles had to pull off a perfect timing for me to talk to the person.
I got into my feet and started walking, Charles had a few seconds to glance at me. It's easy for me to watch at Charles and the guy talking at each other, something that could happen is either to have an inspiration or either the complete opposite of inspiration, insult from the guy's words.
Try to be confident, I made a mental note to myself.

Easier than done.

The tight coil of nervousness within me slowly relaxes, I can't give up in a simple situate. Walking towards this guy, I grasped at the straps of my backpack while having an emotionless face painted even before activated; I stopped at about three feet ahead of him.

Here, I managed to "carefully", take a look on his features---- he has an undercut somehow a military cut, blonde hair, light blue eyes, he also has one of those though looking daddy jawline, he obviously stands out with his height(and believe me, I felt soo small), and for my opinion, his eyebrows were probably his most noticeable features of his face. Overall, he looked like some American Politician.

Apparently, I did this salute thing to represent respect and promising the duty for hummanity. I hope that this isn't the comman of the Survey Corps or else, I'll only focus on impressing him.
"Good day to you cadet! I am Erwin Smith, the 13th commander of the Survey Corps.  I'm glad that you've choosen oue branch. You must be L/N, F/N right? One if the Garrison cadets, Charles told me about you." Commander. Erwins says. I nodded signaling a "yes" to be suspicious on how quiet I am.
"Ah, I see. You're not the talkative kind are you?" Commander Erwin asks in a manly yet gentle voice. Oh, like this whole scenario doesn't make me feel underestimated, still it does. Deeply sighing, I had my hands on the ipad pro and pen to simply write a message,

"I can't speak Sir, I'm mute."

Now this is what YOU call an akward situation.

To be continueddd.
There's a second part of this chapter...
