What is wrong with me?

I was lying on my bed in my room trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me.

This girl is really making me lose control over myself. When she is around my heartbeat increases I lose all my control. That day too, when I was on my phone and she came. When I saw her biting her lip, I really wanted to kiss those lips. Why is it just her who is making me feel like this? No girl has ever affected me in this way.

I don't know what problem does Mia have with her but whenever she sees her she tries to seduce me which I really don't like. And when she does that in front of her it really annoys me. This was one of the reasons why I lost my temper last night and got all my anger out on Ryan. But I wonder one thing, why was her eyes teary when Mia kissed me. Did she not like that? Does she feel something for me?

Jesus! Liam Parker get a grip on yourself and just forget her.

She is just Ryan's babysitter.

Just a babysitter.

So just stop!

But still why did she get affected when Mia k-

Then I heard my door open, I looked to see Ryan standing at the door with a teddy bear in his hand.

"Dad I can't sleep." He said.

"And why is that?" I asked.

"Bee is not here."

"She was here just for one day and you are telling me that in just one day you got so attached to her that you are not able to sleep alone now."

He stood there looking down.

"Come inside." I said.

He closed the door and ran inside getting up on the bed. I pulled him closer to me. It has been a month since she started working and Ryan has got so attached to her that every time, I return home from office he tells me about her and the things both of them had done all day. Because of him I got to know many things about her. Like she lives with her Nanny, then she likes listening music and also love to eat chocolate cakes and much more.

Ryan said "Dad do you know Bee loved the food you made."

This is what I was talking about. These days he only talks about her.

"Really, she did?"

He nodded with a wide smile.

One thing I have noticed whenever he talks about her there is always a wide smile on his face. A smile that none of his previous babysitter could bring in his face. And this smile is all I want to see, his happiness is what matters to me.

"But you know last night when you scolded me, she was more angry at you than I was."

I smiled listening to him.

Indeed, she was angry.

"Okay that's enough with the Bee topic now go to sleep." I said.

He nodded and closed his eyes.

After sometime he mumbled with closed eyes thinking I was already asleep "I wish you marry Bee instead of that BBB."

Why is this boy creating more problems? I am already confused.

And what the hell is BBB? This much I can make out that he is talking about Mia, but what is BBB.

The next morning, I left a little early because I had a meeting to attend. Ryan was up waiting for his Bee. I wonder why does he calls her Bee.

Don't you think Liam Parker that these days you are wondering a lot, my conscience mocked at me.

Stop and focus on your God damn work.

After working for almost 5 hours continuously I called my assistant. She came in.

"Yes Mr. Parker." She said.

I leaned back on my chair then said "Chloe, I want you to fix a meeting with the Chinese clients tomorrow and make sure you have everything prepared."

She nodded "Okay Mr. Parker."

"And the file I told you to summarise, did you do it?"

"Yes I did. I'll just bring that."

"Okay. One more thing-" I stopped when my phone started ringing.

I looked at the caller id.

Mom?

Why is she calling?

I signalled Chloe with my hand to leave.

She nodded and left. I picked up the call.

"Mom." I said.

"Liam, how are you?" Mom's excited voice came from the other side.

Something is definitely wrong.

"Mom, we just met last night. Can you please come to the main topic?"

"Oh! Looks like you are smarter than me."

I rolled my eyes. "Mom what is it?"

"Liam actually we wanted to talk to you about something. It's really important."

"Okay. Tell me then."

"Not like this. Visit us tonight Liam. Alone."

Strange. It looks really serious.

"Okay Mom."

"Bye. Take care Liam."

"You too." I hung up.

After finishing my work. I looked at the time it was already 8 pm. I took my coat that was on the chair and left. When I reached, I was welcomed by smiling faces of Mom and Dad. I went in.

"Liam, you are here. We really had something important to talk about." Dad said.

I nodded.

We sat on the dinner table, the food was served by the maids. Then I looked at Mom and Dad.

"So what is it?"

Umm..." Mom started then laughed nervously. I furrowed my brows.

"Mom."

"So we were saying that it's enough Liam, you should get married." Dad said.

I rolled my eyes.

Not again.

"We are not discussing about it again. I have already said that I am not marrying anyone." I said.

"Liam, you can't always think about yourself. Think about Ryan. Liam, he needs a mother." Mom said.

"No, he doesn't. I am here for him, whatever he needs I am here to give him."

"Liam you can't always fulfil a duty of a mother." Mom said again this time in an angry tone.

"I can. I have for so many years and I will. Speaking about Ryan, that night you both saw, he doesn't like Mia. So there's no point of marrying her saying it's for Ryan."

"We are not talking about Mia. I don't know Liam why can't you see this but we can and even Ryan can that she is with you just because of your money."

"Mom." I said in a stern tone.

"It is the truth Liam."

I sighed "Okay so let's not talk about Mia. I am sorry to disappoint you guys but I am not dating anyone else."

Dad suddenly said "Liam. We have someone for you."

"Really? That's great and how do you guys know that, that 'someone' is better than Mia."

"Because we have seen her, and we know that she is far more better than Mia and Ryan likes her too." Dad said.

Ryan likes her? Ryan only likes few people, and they are talking about a girl whom Ryan likes. Wait let me think. Ryan likes Maria, and she cares for him too. Are they...? No way in hell they are asking me to marry a 40 year old woman. No. It can't be her.

Then... One who Ryan likes is... Bella?

No, I am already trying to figure out my feelings for her. She is already messing with my head. I can't take anymore.

I made a serious face and asked "Who are you guys talking about?"

Mom took a deep breath and looked at Dad, he nodded then Mom said "Bella."

My eyes widened. I clenched my jaw.

I so knew this.

Mom continued "Bella is best for Ryan. Ryan loves her Liam. Have you ever seen Ryan so happy with someone other than you? Liam you can't always keep him like this. Caged in a house and only you can take him out. He is a child Liam. Every child needs a mother, a friend. And Bella can become both to Ryan. Liam I am not asking you to leave Ryan alone and let him go out, I am just asking you to give him a friend and a mother too. I have seen the bond between them, it's really strong. I am sure that if you tell Ryan that you'll marry Bella, he will be the happiest among everyone. And you too Liam you can't just waste your life like this. You need someone to be with you. Trust me Liam she will change both of your life."

"You have met her just once, and you are telling me that she is best for Ryan, to be his mother. That's ridiculous."

"Yes she is. We are old enough to read people, to understand them. And to see what they really are." Mom argued.

"What if I say that I don't trust her."

"We have seen who you trust Liam, Mia, really Liam? She is your choice? A woman whom your son don't even like."

"How can you be so sure about Bella?"

"When you scolded Ryan, did your lovable girlfriend go to your son to comfort him? Instead she was standing there smiling. Either you are blind or you are ignoring the truth. Bella was there for Ryan that day."

"That's her job. I pay her for that."

"Staying all night wasn't a part of her job."

I sighed and got up from my seat. "I think I should leave."

I was about to leave when Mom came and held my hand. "Think about it, Liam. Think about Ryan."

Without saying anything else I left.

When I reached home. I asked Maria about Ryan she said he was in his room. I made my way to his room. I entered and saw Ryan already asleep. I went in and switched on the bedside lamp and sat on the bed beside him. I ran my hand through his hair and kissed his forehead.

I thought about whatever Mom and Dad said today. In a way they were right Ryan needs a mother who can take care of him and be with him whenever he needs. Who thought that he would even make a friend being locked up in a house?

But Bella. I don't know anything about her.

Ugh! Why does everything leads to her?

Last night, Ryan's words came to my mind. 'I wish you marry Bee instead of that BBB'.

I got up and switched off the bedside lamp. Taking a last look at him I left the room. I reached my room. Taking off my coat and tie, I stood in front of the window looking outside, thinking what should I do. Finally, I called my personal investigator, who is also my friend.

He picked up after few rings.

"Hello. Sir I think you have called this number by mistake." He said.

"Lucas. I am serious."

"Okay. Someone sounds angry. So why are you so serious?"

"I need you to give me all the information about someone."

"And who is that honey?"

"Bella Adams. I want to know everything about her. Everything means every damn thing."

"Oh man! Are you finally in love? Can someone please pinch me? 'The Liam Parker' is in love." he said and started laughing.

"Shut up. She is Ryan's babysitter."

"So you are in love with your son's babysitter. Umm.. it's fine I don't really mind. I support Boss and babysitter relationship too. By the way when am I meeting her?"

This guy is so irritating.

"Just get me the information and stop with your nonsense."

"You are no fun. I am happy at least it's not that bitch Mia. But I have to agree to one thing that she was hot."

"Lucas. You have time till the morning." I said ignoring his comment about Mia.

"Okay fine." With that I hung up.

Why does everyone hate Mia? I still don't understand. I mean she is fine, at least in front of me.

But Bella.

I looked outside the window and took a deep breath.

I am sorry Bella but I have to do this for Ryan. He is everything to me.
