Saturday came lightening fast, but I was set to go to the Annual Hero Appreciation ball.

I asked Mrs. Bakugo if there was a gown she had I could wear to the ball and at first she offered to make me a custom new design but I felt bad.

The ball was 4 days away when I asked for a dress and they would be rushed and stressed plus they have other orders I couldn't accept that offer.

I insisted and she gladly let me have a gown she had worn in the past, she did make adjustments so it fit my body like a glove.

It was very comfortable with the help of both mr and mrs Bakugo. The torso was form fitting and strapless but not super tight and from mid waist down was long and flowy.

It did a good job showing off my curves just right.

"Have fun sweetheart" Mrs. Bakugo smiled as she stood at the foot of the steps watching me walk down.

"Just gonna be out for a little bit" I smiled back

"Sweetie go have fun! You deserve a night out! Does Katsuki know you're going? Just so if he calls I can say you're asleep" she shot a wink at me.

"Mrs. Bakugo !" I gasped laughing "Im going to a ball with our friends and yes he does know I texted him the night I got invited"

"Ha! He probably told you stay home" Mrs.

Bakugo shook her head smiling

"He was...suspicious... he interrogated me... with who? What time? Who's driving? And to not drink " I rolled my eyes thinking about how overprotective he could be.

"Should've said I'm going out , no questions needed, you're over there I'm over here I'm going to have fun and that is that" she scoffed giving me a playful smirk.

"But sweetie...Have fun and let loose" she advised as she winked

"Im pregnant" I stated pointing at my barely there baby bump.

"Who said you can't have fun while pregnant" mrs. Bakugo clicked her tongue mischievously.

*beep beeeeeep*

"He's here" I smiled nervously at the door.

"I'll walk you " She smiled and opened the front door for me to see Sero parked in their drive way.

"Hey Mrs.Bakugo " Sero turned down his music and greeted her who looked at him unamused.

"Sero... come open the door for her, she's pregnant... cmon now" Mrs. Bakugo sternly demanded

"Oh right!" Sero hurried out the car and greeted Mrs. Bakugo with a hug and hugged me

"I'll have her home by midnight" sero assured her.

"You guys are adults, have fun. tell the others I say hi" She waved and walked back into the house.

"Thanks" I smiled when he opened the door for me and walked back to the drivers seat and we drove off to the ball.

*15 minutes later*

We pulled into a parking lot building reserved for just heroes and sidekicks and we walked over to where the event was being held.

The entrance of the ball was past a red carpet and a swarm of paparazzi flashing cameras and having any hero attending to pose for their magazines and websites.

"Here we are, ready?" Sero asked taking in a deep breath as we stood in line to walk the red carpet.

"I hate paparazzi's but ...let's get this over with " I forced a smile and he nodded his head.

"I'll wait for you at the end so we can walk in together and find the others" he grinned and I nodded my head agreeing.

Part of me wished I walked beside Sero, I hate doing these things alone...mostly because i hate getting asked the questions these paparazzi's come up with and I get nervous sometimes.

"Okay Cellophane walk...now" a woman with an earpiece standing by the red carpet signaled Sero to start walking the carpet and held her hand out in front of me to wait.

Sero was waving, posing. and smiling for the cameras and once he reached the halfway mark I was signaled to go.

I took a deep breath, put on my best smile, and began to walk in front of the crowd of paparazzi.

Once I stepped froward and posed with a hand placed on my hip the flashes multiplied and felt there was way more than when Sero walked.

They were flashing so much and I couldn't see much in front of me, By the time I reached the halfway mark I felt I was forcing my smile from trying smile for a long period.

Sero was waiting at the end of the carpet for me and I was glad because I felt I was seeing colorful dots cause of the flashes. I blinked hard and Sero caught the signal that it was hard for me to see now.

I reached out for him and he hooked my arm with his.

"I think they over did it with you, probably trying to see if they get that baby bump " Sero chuckled

"Like Geez I'm seeing stars spinning now" I playfully joked and the paparazzi at the end caught me and sero arm in arm and began to heckle us with questions.

"Did you and ground Zero break up?"

"Where's ground Zero?"

"Are you two a couple now?"

Neither one of us were bothered by the questions since we know we see eachother as practically family and it was nothing romantic, we just kept walking towards the entrance.

As soon as we walked into the venue there was loud music playing and colorful dj lights flickering.

"I think I see Kaminari at the food" Sero shouted over the music

"Lets go" I shouted back and he lead us to the food area where we saw Kaminari loading his plate

"Yess y/n you made it!!!" Mina cheered and walked over to hug me and I unhooked my arm from Sero to hug mina.

"Of course thanks to Sero for inviting me" I smiled

"Well we were gonna invite you too but glad he convinced you to come out" Mina beamed

"So what's there for food? im starving" I exclaimed looking at the 4 long tables set up buffet style with delicious smelling food.

"Here let me serve you " kiri offered grabbing a clean plate from the side

"Thats fine I can-" I started to say

"Here put these on her plate" kaminari exclaimed as they started to fill up my plate for me.

"Let's go find a table to eat and let them serve us " mina suggested and I followed her to a reserved table with all of our names.

"So..." mina uttered as we sat down.

"Sooo?" I asked confused

"Does it feel weird to be here without bakugo?" Mina asked curiously.

"Yeah it does, I miss him girl" I pouted with a small smile.

"Im sure he misses you too. any word when he'll be back?" Mina asked as she rested her arms on the table top

"Maybe in a few days" I uttered lowly.

"Do you get to talk to him often?" She asked

"Recently no...like these last two days no phone calls, only a good night text, well... more like paragraph... he told me they've been busy and he's exhausted, he apologized for being distant but that he'll be home in a few days.... maybe, and it went on but it was good to hear from him and that he's fine" I explained as I fidgeted with a cloth napkin that was right in front of me.

"Good thing he keeps you updated so you don't worry, everyone else is starting to ask questions as to why Deku, todoroki, bakugo, hawks, and tokoyami aren't around in the city anymore"Mina revealed

"It wouldn't be a secret mission if everyone knew they left the country" I shook my head

"True so ahem... have you guys thought of any-" Mina started to say when she was interrupted.

"Foods here" kiri announced as the guys began to put down plates on our table, and I mean each plate was absolutely loaded.

"Eat up y'all" Kaminari exclaimed as he took as he sat next to me.

*few moments later*

I was twirling my hips and had my hands in the air.

The music was booming and I felt the beat within myself.

For a tiny bit nothing mattered and I felt free and was surrounded by my friends...only one missing was Katsuki.

"He Bakubro all is well, we're here with Y/n, y/n say hi to bakugo" kiri exclaiemd as he held up his phone , recording a video in selfie mode.

I walked up to him and leaned my head on Kiri's shoulder.

"Hey babe, you better come home soon , we miss you " I smiled and scrunched my lips into a kissy face and kiri stopped recording

"I'll send it to him right now" Kiri smiled and began to type on his phone.

"I'll be back" I shouted over the music

"Don't tell me youre going home" mina pouted

"No I'm going o get a water" I smiled and walked away from the group.

I made my way through the crowd of heroes and to the open bar they had on the side.

"One water bottle please" I asked the bartender who nodded their head and walked off to get it.

"Well glad to see your being responsible" I heard a deep very familiar voice utter

"Hey dad" I smiled as I turned to my right to see him leaning against the bar with a beer bottle in his hand.

"Here you go ma'am" the bartender handed me a cold water bottle.

"Thanks" I replied and turned my attention to my dad.

"How's the pregnancy going? Is Bakugo excited" my dad asked monotoned.

"Ugh he's mad at me right now" I sighed taking a sip from my water bottle.

"and why is that?" He asked now looking at me.

"He um... it was like two days ago...he thinks I wasn't making healthy decisions and he got so mad at me that I told him I was drinking coffee every day" I scoffed rolling my eyes.

"Kid..." my dad uttered as he finished his beer and placed the empty bottle on the bar top.

"What? It irritated me that i was being careless" I shrugged my shoulders

"Look... I don't want you to think I'm siding with him but-" my dad muttered turning to face me.

"But? Uh oh" I inhaled ready to hear him side with Katsuki too.

"He's probably just looking out for you" my dad uttered

"I mean...yeah I .... I guess..." I stammered

"He's looking forward to this baby and was devastated when the other one didn't make it" my dad sighed

"Yeah he's told me he-" I started to reply but was cut off.

"And I can tell he really loves you so maybe cut him some slack and what seems is he's been doing his research even while on a mission" my dad placed a gentle hand on my shoulder trying to keep me calm.

"Gosh dad now I feel like shit" I blurted out

"Language. But he's just looking out for the both of you" he uttered glancing at my tummy.

"Fine, you're right..." I sighed giving in.

"Don't be stubborn kid, just trying to get you to understand" he let out a side smile.

"Okay , fine i'll do some reading too..." I uttered bringing the water bottle to my lips.

"You should've started the moment you found out you were pregnant" my dad shook his head almost disappointed like.

"I guess I thought this was going to be a walk in the park" I smiled nervously,

"Yeah okay " he chuckled

"I'll .... I'll call him tomorrow or text him I mean.... I doubt he'd answer my call" I sighed looking down at my water bottle thinking how much I miss him and want him home.

"ERASER!!! You are wanted at the dance floor " mic exclaimed walking up to us.

"Hey kiddo, sorry but your dad hasn't had a night out in ages so come on" Mic exclaimed

"Why me?" My dad groaned

"Come now! " ms. midnight tugged on my dads arm

"Shoot me already" he uttered slowly to have both Present mic and Ms. Midnight pull him to the dance floor.

"Have fun dad" I chuckled seeing his hair wave back from getting yanked.

I Finished the rest of my water and turned back to see the group dancing and laughing and I joined the fun.

*next morning*

A sudden crashing sound woke me up.

I sat up quickly and looked around to the blinding sun light coming through the window that was directly in front of me.

I rubbed my eyes to get my vision adjusted and blinked hard.

My eyes grew wide in confusion when I saw...this isn't my house.

In fact this I Sero's apartment.... His bedroom to be more specific.

I looked down and I had my gown still on from last night, I looked beside me and I heard a groan coming from the floor.

I peaked my head and saw Kaminari on the ground.

"Damn that hurt" he rubbed the back of his head as he got up

"Kami?" I whimpered confused

"Hm? y-y/n?" He froze and his eyes grew in confusion

We looked at eachother and blinked multiple times in unison

"Ahhhh" we both screamed and sero came in through the door a few seconds later.

"What's going on?" Sero exclaimed looking around for danger

"We, we didn't?? right?" Kaminari asked nervously

"What ?" I blurted out wide eyed and confused

"No you didn't , she knocked out first and then you knocked out next to her I was sleeping on the floor here too" sero explained now relaxed.

"Thank goodness" I sighed

"Come, we're working on breakfast" Sero grinned

"Sero ....do you have a shirt and shorts I could borrow? I don't want to be in this dress anymore" I uttered

"You got it" he smiled and walked over to his closet and tossed me one of his t-shirts and basketball shorts.

"Meet us in the kitchen , breakfast will be ready soon" he smiled as he pulled kaminari to get out the room and gave me privacy.

I know i didn't drink, I'm not stupid but why don't I remember getting here..

Once I changed I walked out the room and toward the kitchen.

"THE FUCK YOU MEAN SHE DIDNT' MAKE IT HOME" Katsuki's voice echoed making me rush and follow his voice.

"We spent the night at Sero's and her phones dead. it's in the other room but we put it to charge man..no worries" kiri explained

"Sup dude" Kaminari walked up to the facetime call and waved at Katsuki .

"ALL OF YOU?? Let me find out that spark plug made a move on her and that will be the last-" Katsuki began to shout

"Cmon man I wouldn't do that! you don't trust me or what?" Kaminari asked

"Fuck no, especially since you idiots were drunk as hell, I heard the voice messages you dumbasses sent thinking it was funny ...damn idiots grow the fuck up" Katsuki scowled

"Then maybe you shouldn't tell him kaminari slept next to Y/n last night" sero chuckled making everyone snap their heads towards him and I face palmed.

"Dude what's your problem!" Kaminari exclaimed in defense

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY !! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME ME?! HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT ACCIDENTALLY HAPPEN?! OH THATS RIGHT IT DOESNT-" katsuki began to lose it

"Katsuki" I peeped out and he immediately got quiet, kiri handed me the phone and I smiled at the screen seeing my katsuki.

".... short stuff... where are you ?" He asked concerned and his eyes were moving quickly across the screen as if he was looking at every inch of my face.

"At Sero's apartment, I guess it got late and we spent the night here" I shrugged my shoulders confused

"Tell me. did that idiot make a move on you? i'll kill him once I get home" katsuki uttered

"Heyyyy" Kaminari pouted.

"No, I fell asleep first " I shook my head making Kaminari sigh in relief.

"I swear to god-" katsuki started to scowl.

"She didn't drink and we made sure she ate "Kirishima let him know

"Why do I feel like a child being babysat" I asked glancing the group surrounding me.

"Let me talk to her ...alone" Katsuki emphasized.

I grabbed the phone and walked back to sero's room and closed the door behind me.

"Hello" I sang once I sat on the bed.

"You doing okay? Sounds like you had fun" katsuki uttered lowly with a slight tone... probably since the last time we spoke we argued about my caffeine intake and how I should be making better health choices.

"It was...alright, it wasn't the same" I sighed laying on the bed now.

"How?" He replied lowly looking away from his phone.

"The firecracker was missing" I smiled softly making him whip his head forward and his eyes stared at the screen ..he stared for a few seconds and finally gave a slight barely there smirk.

"Wish I woke up next to you, But you woke up next to that idiot" Katsuki frowned

"Well he fell off the bed" I snickered but katsuki didn't find it amusing.

"Of course he fucking did...miss you" he sighed and laid himself back on his bed and rested his head on his free arm

"Sorry about about few days ago" I sighed

"Oh babe..." he uttered and rubbed his forehead

"I know you mean well ... im sorry" I remarked

"What am I going to do with you short stuff" he uttered as he looked at the phone softly.

"I dunno... what do you wanna do with me?" I whispered

".... dont start" Katsuki mischievously smirked

"Fine" I playfully rolled my eyes. "Almost home?"

"If everything goes according to plan i'll be on a plane back home tomorrow or even the next day but soon babe I promise" Katsuki smiled making my eyes widened he was going to be home soon...like soon soon.

"I'll be counting down the hours" I sniffled and happy tears started forming in my eyes just thinking about being able to be held in Katsuki's strong arms...being wrapped and feeling protected and as if everything is going to be fine.

To finally have him come home every night and have him sleeping next to me and waking up on his chest .

"Just.... Don't watch tv" he advised me lowly and looked away from the phone.

"Why? What did you do?" I asked concerned

"Nothing... but its not pretty over here" he shook his head

"Katsuki are you hurt? Whats going on?" I asked now sitting up on the bed filled with worry.

".... i'll see you soon babe, i love you " he smiled softly.

"I love you too" I whimpered , he just filled me with a bunch of questions and worries but I trust him and he's a man of his word.

"Where did I get this bruise ?" I heard Kaminari's muffled voice exclaim.

"Okay I think I should go cause they're discovering bruises from last night" I lightly chuckled

"Idiots...go see the damage... i'll see you soon I promise" he smiled and I nodded my head and ended the call.

I inhaled deeply and a silent tear came out.

I haven't heard anything from his overseas mission in the Japanese papers but now I'm tempted to research.

I hope everything is okay but I couldn't help but worry still even though he promised to come home soon.

Please come home in one piece babe.

I sat up and wiped my eyes to clear up tears and inhaled deeply to compose myself and head back into the kitchen

"You hung up?" Sero asked looking at the turned off phone.

"Yeah he had to go" I informed them and placed the phone on the counter.

"Everything alright?" mina asked looking at me with concern... I bet my eyes were red from tearing up and that't why she was asking.

"Perfect actually, well almost perfect but I mean maybe tomorrow he'll be on a plane back home" I grinned

"Y/n thats great!" Kiri exclaimed flipping French toast slices on the griddle.

"This calls for a celebratory breakfast, come eat" Kaminari handed me a plate to serve myself

Katsuki is almost home...almost.
