Ryu's POV:

The first time the professor used this beam on me it didn't hurt. This was no exception. I could feel how every muscle of my body became stronger and more resistant. I felt more energetic. It was even better than the first time.

"Ryu" I heard the professor's voice, "how do you feel?"

"I-I feel" I looked at my hands, but saw no difference, "I feel stronger and more powerful."

"Well, I see you as idiot as always" I heard Yoshito say.

"Who are you calling idiot?!" I yelled at Yoshito.

"Ryu, calm down! What the hell is wrong with you?! Yoshito said nothing!" Kaoru stopped me from punching him.

"Didn't you hear it?! He called me an idiot!" I protested.

"Well, you sure are acting like one now" this time it was Yûsuke.

"You too?!" I yelled at him.

"Ryu! Stop! Nobody is talking about you!" Kaoru stopped me again.

"Wait a minute!" Momoko approached to me, "can you read my mind?"

I concentrated on Momoko.

"If you hurt Kaoru, I'll kill you" I could hear her thoughts.

"The same goes for you with Yûsuke" I tried to communicate telepathically with her.

Momoko looked at me in surprise and then looked at the professor.

"It works! Ryu is a telepath!" she exclaimed.

"Wow!" I exclaimed too and we highfived, "I don't know what that means!"

"I wanna go too!" Yoshito exclaimed.

Yoshito's POV:

I stood right in front of the professor's gun and let him shoot me. Ryu was right, I felt much stronger than before.

"Tell me! What am I thinking?!" Miyako asked me.

"I don't know. It doesn't work" I replied in disappointment.

"Well, not all of you will necessarily have the same powers" Ken explained to me and took a sip from his water.

Suddenly, the water in his bottle began to slowly float up to me. I reached out my hand to take it. The water started to slide down my skin as everyone looked surprised.

"Wow! Hydrokinesis!" Yûsuke and Momoko exclaimed.

"This is so cool!" I exclaimed too.

"Who's next?" the professor asked.

Third Person's POV:

All the boys and girls had already received their dose of white z-rays. Now they were all outside testing their new skills.

"This is awesome!" Kaoru exclaimed while making the portions of earth rise.

"Kaoru, geokinesis" Momoko said and looked at Miyako, "Miyako, electrokinesis"

Miyako charged her phone just by using her finger.

"Momoko, cryogenesis" Yûsuke said.

Momoko made a piece of ice appear in her hand and threw it at Yûsuke, who instantly melted it with a fireball.

"Pyrokinesis" Momoko said.

"Now we're ready to face HIM" Yûsuke smirked.

"Not yet. You still have to train and learn how to control your new habilities" the professor told him.

"How much longer do we have to wait?" Ryu protested.

"The time that's necessary. The girls have faced HIM before and know how difficult he is to beat. Remember that now he's more powerful than before" the professor told him.

"So we are now" Yûsuke said.

"Be patient. I promise you that when the time comes, you'll get your answers" the professor said before he left.

"The professor's right. HIM is the most powerful creature in the whole universe. Now that he has the energy of most villains it's even harder to beat him" Miyako explained.

"Then we must train even harder than before" Yûsuke said and then transformed, "Hard Brick! Fire Force!"

The others were surprised to realize that Brick's transformation was different. Now he wore a more modern and incredible costume. It was still its respective color: red. However, now it had a flame design in his belt. He still had his distinctive cap, only now his long hair was loose.

"Wow! Brick! You look awesome!" Yoshito exclaimed.

"That means we all have new transformations!" Momoko exclaimed.

"Let's try it!" Kaoru suggested, "Powered Buttercup! Earth Force!"

"Rolling Bubbles! Electric Force!" Miyako exclaimed.

"Hyper Blossom! Ice Force!" Momoko transformed too.

The girls now had new outfits. They still had their respective colors, but they had a more modern design that adjusted according to their age. Blossom had the design of a snowflake in her belt, Bubbles a lightning and Buttercup a mountain.

"Are you kidding me?! A skirt?! Again?!" Buttercup protested.

"Oh, man! Now you have even longer pants underneath!" Ryu checked her out.

Buttercup punched him in the face and yelled at him.

"Don't touch me, you pig!" she was red as a tomato.

"My turn!" Yoshito exclaimed, "Explosive Boomer! Water Force!"

Boomer's costume was still blue, but had the same design as Brick's new costume. Except that Boomer's belt had a drop of water design.

"Strong Butch! Psychic Force!" Ryu transformed.

Butch's new costume was still green and had a mesmerized eye design on the belt.

"Let's try our new powers!" Boomer suggested.

"To the training room!" Blossom exclaimed.

They all headed to the training room to simulate a fight.

"Let's do some knockout battles!" Brick suggested.

"What's the prize?" Blossom asked.

"Victory?" Brick said, not so sure.

"How about if the winner chooses what the others will wear during the week?" Bubbles suggested.

"What if all the losers become slaves to the winner for a week?" Buttercup said with a psycho expression.

"I like how that slave thing sounds" Butch told her in a flirty tone.

"Don't make me kick you in the crotch" Buttercup growled.

"I have an idea! Let the winner decide what his reward will be!" Blossom suggested.

"Great idea! We will grant a wish! Now, who starts?" Brick asked.

"If you allow me to comment, you're 3 girls and 3 boys. To make this more fair I think you should fight randomly" Ken explained.

"Ken's right" Bubbles supported him.

"I don't think that's fairer. If we choose the fights ourselves there'll be more chances that two girls can fight each other and only one should start facing one of us. If we do it randomly, we could each fight against a girl" Brick explained.

"Do you think we aren't strong enough to face you?" Blossom glared at him.

"No! I'm just trying to be chivalrous and fair! I don't want to hit a girl!" Brick replied.

"Then you'll have to face me!" Buttercup challenged him.

"Buttercup, you know I'm the strongest of us all and I'm going to hurt you" Brick reminded her.

"I know it. Prove it in front of everyone else" she insisted.

"If you hurt my girlfriend, I'm going to castrate you, Brick!" Butch threatened him.

"Shut up, Butch!" Buttercup yelled at him.

Buttercup stood in the middle of the room and waited for Brick. He finally decided to accept the challenge and prepared to face her. Buttercup cracked her bones and stretched her body. The others watched them and waited for the fight to start. Finally, Brick ran towards Buttercup, ready to attack. She evaded his blow and hit him on the back. Buttercup blocked several of Brick's punches with her arms. She kicked him and then hit him in the stomach. Brick stepped back for air. Buttercup was still full of energy, but with some bruising on her arms.

"Are you tired already?" she made fun of him.

"Not a bit" he responded.

Brick didn't know how to control his new ability yet, so he lit his hands on fire.

"Fire Shot!" he yelled and threw the flames at Buttercup.

Buttercup was able to dodge the attack, but Brick threw another blow and she couldn't react on time. Buttercup growled with anger.

"You want to play rude, huh?" Buttercup grinned and placed her fist on the ground, "Earthquake!"

The ground began to shake, causing Brick to lose balance. The ground began to crack a little, but as soon as Buttercup took her hand off the ground it stopped shaking. Buttercup took advantage of how stunned Brick was to approach him and hit him in the ribs. Buttercup took him by the arm and applied a key, knocking him to the floor.

"Give up!" she ordered him.

Brick's arm hurt a lot, but he didn't want to give up. He had to prove to his brothers that he was the strongest of all.

"Don't give up, Brick! Show them what you're made of!" Buttercup thought.

"Hellfire!" Brick exclaimed.

Brick took advantage of Buttercup's contact with his skin and set himself on fire. Buttercup had to move away from Brick in order not to get seriously burned. Brick rose quickly, still on fire. The redhead ran towards the black-haired woman and threw a blow at her that she easily blocked, but which still burned her arm. Brick gave her another blow to the abdomen and continued like that until she hit the wall. Everyone watched the scene in amazement. Brick was really beating Buttercup up. She looked sore, but still had an expression filled with courage.

"Are we done?" Brick asked.

"Not yet" Buttercup responded and raised her hand, "Rising Terra!"

Before he could react, a large chunk of the floor rose under Brick and threw him against the wall.

"How come they learn to use their powers so quickly?!" Boomer was really surprised.

"Well, prepare yourself, because you're going next, against me" Blossom warned him with a threatening expression.

Boomer frowned and clenched his fists. He wouldn't allow Blossom to make a fool of him. On the other hand, Brick had just recovered from the latest attack. Buttercup had already reached him, ready to hit him square in the face. However, Brick's reflexes were faster and he gripped her fist tightly, pinning her down. Buttercup widened her eyes in surprise and then received a head butt from Brick. Buttercup took a few seconds to fall to the ground, unconscious. Everyone was shocked. Brick won against Buttercup. Brick helped Buttercup up off the ground, but she quickly recovered from the blow.

"Not bad" she chuckled.

She wasn't mad. In fact, she was happy and proud of him. Brick smiled back to her and they both returned with the others.

"Who's next?" Brick asked.

"Me" Boomer accepted Blossom's challenge.
