Secrets of Silence

I get myself ready for the night. I tell my Aunt May that I'm ready to sleep. I lay down on my bed, ready to let my dream take over.

It's the next day. I take my Aunt May out to a diner for breakfast. It's the best I could do for us. She takes out a photo I didn't see her pick up. She sets it on the table where the sauce packets were at, it's a photo of Uncle Ben, her, and me on Easter Day when I was 10. I can see her smile with her eyes before looking at me nodding her head.

We awaited our server, who was R/N. Oh my God, R/N, you're so fucking attractive. I was so blessed for you to be our server. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to know you personally.

"Hi, Pete! Hi, May! How are things going with you? I'm so sorry to hear about Ben. My heart broke when I heard the news." You told us. I gave you a sweet smile before telling you that we're doing okay. Aunt May assured you we were fine, as we continued with out order.

I enjoy watching you write, looking at your wrist, hands moving to what we say. To see your smile made me completely forget about my pain of the loss of Uncle Ben. I stayed at loss in my daydreams about you as you leave. I watch you go. I love looking at you. You're such a gem.

"Peter!" My Aunt May half whisper-shouted at me. "I know you love R/N, I'm rooting for you sweetheart." She gave a light chuckle at me, while I laugh back.

I talk to her about how I want to start a family, start a relationship, start a new life with her. She knew how much I loved you. But... not in the way I truly do. She knows very little.

Oh the things I would do for you, R/N. The things I would do for you....

We finally got our food!

"What's the Matter, Peter? Is it Larby?" My Aunt May was asking me. "Too larby?"

I didn't respond.

She snapped her fingers "not Larby enough?"

I still didn't respond.

"How many times do I have to say 'Larb' before you talk to me?" She began to laugh about it while I smirked.

I still kept quiet because of the fear of what Ned would say. Much less even Harry would do if he found out.

"You know I larb you." Aunt May was acting silly with me to brighten up the mood.

"I larb you too, Aunt May. I'm sorry, I'm still tired from last night-"

I was cut off before I was looking at the TV from the top of the counter.

"The guy Protects us, you know! He protects the people!" I see myself on the news Again, from yesterday. I asked to guy in the front counter to turn the volume up.

He did.

"This masked, Spider-man has been saving the city for the past few days!" The news lady began to talk about me. They showed footage of the Local Convenience store where the two couple were robbed. I saw myself on screen. I was filled with pure, overwhelming satisfaction when I saw you, R/N watching the news of me. I admired you from a distance.

My Aunt May looked at me after viewing the TV to warn me "If you spit something like that happening, you turn, and you run the other way." I know she cares for my safety.

"Yeah, no-yeah yeah yeah, of course." I assured her.

"That was six blocks away from us!" She was worried, as she continued eating. I already finished it a while ago.

I still see you staring at the TV, R/N. I love you so much.

I see you clock out, I run out to talk to you.

"Hey!" I yell out for you.

"Buzz off!" You yell back. You sounded annoyed.

"It's me, Peter!" I assured you.

"Oh, hey Pete! So how is everything right now? I know I talked to you earlier, but still."

"We're doing good. I'm trying to find a job. How about you?"

"Oh, I'm headed for a(n) (interview/audition/whatever)."
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah!"
"I'm so excited for you!" I really am, R/N, I really am.
I continue to support you, I'm so happy for you.

But I overhear your manager shouting at you.

"R/N! Your drawer was short from $6! If this continues, I'm gonna take it out of your check!"
He shouted from across the street. "Hello! I'm talking to you, kid!"

You turn around to face him. "YES ENRIQUE, OKAY! I GET IT!"
"WELL DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN YOU HEAR ME?" He yelled before walking back into the diner. I saw my Aunt May come out of there to see what the commotion was about. She hit the back of his head with her cane.

I giggled at it, wishing you saw it, but I was more happy that you were staring at me.

But, now I know how to kill.
