A Port Mafia Meeting

Headcanons involved in this part:

- Chuuya would draw on Dazai's bandages

-They definitely disrupted more than a few PM meetings

"Koyo, can you please give us a high-level summary of the current state of our armed transport operations?" Mori was saying, meanwhile, Chuuya could hardly keep his eyes open.

The Port Mafia meeting room was dark with fine leather chairs and lush red carpets...the perfect place to scheme, or take a nap. All five executives, Mori, and a few other high-ranking members were seated around the oblong oak table, giving summaries of their current handlings. Chuuya had already had his turn to share and couldn't care less about the others' summaries. They happened every week and were mostly pointless.

Chuuya's head was on the verge of nodding forward when a sharp pain in his ankle sent him upright. He bit down on his urge to say ouch, grimacing. He threw a dagger of a look at the brunette to his left. Dazai was looking straight ahead, but a sliver of a grin was playing at the corners of his mouth. Chuuya delivered an under-tabled punch to his ribs as repayment.

"Moriiii, Chuuya's hitting me!" Dazai whined loudly, causing everyone at the table to turn and look.

"Bastard! You kicked me first!" Chuuya protested, turning red under everyone's eyes.

"That's enough you two. You're executives so act like it." Mori scolded them calmly. "Koyo, please continue."

Chuuya threw a side-ways look at Dazai, who grinned back at him.

"If we could acquire ten new transport vehicles, I think that would optimize..." Koyo was drowning on.

Chuuya was about to zone out again when he felt a light stabbing in his ribs. He turned toward Dazai, ready to swing again, but found the brunette was passing him a Sharpie, his un-bandaged eye asking him to take it.

Chuuya furrowed his ginger brows as if to ask, What? but took the Sharpie from Dazai anyway.

The brunette reached over, placing one of his arms in Chuuya's lap. Chuuya grabbed it, about to throw the arm off of him, but then it struck him what Dazai was doing.

Uncapping the pen, Chuuya took Dazai by the back of the hand. The bandaged boy's hands were cold like they had been at the Ball, and that time with Rando. Maybe the blood couldn't make it all the way to the tips of his long fingers and had just given up on trying to make it all together.

He glanced around the table to make sure none of the executives were giving him any weird looks. Koyo asked him frequently how his relationship with Dazai was coming along, much to his annoyance. He didn't need anyone suspecting anything. No one had seen them at the Ball as far as he knew, but he was still on edge. Lots of people knew they were living together now, but it was common for Port Mafia members to live together.

Carefully, he started on his artwork. Across the wrist he wrote b-a-s-t-e-r-e-d, below it he drew an assortment of hearts, flowers, and several more curse words. Dazai lounged back in his chair. Chuuya was surprised he wasn't making an attempt to supervise what Chuuya was drawing on his bandages.

Chuuya was in the process of drawing a heart on the part of the bandage near the thumb, wondering what Dazai would do if he tried to peak beneath the white wrapping, when Dazai's fingers curled upward, brushing his hand.

"Hey, don't be tryin' hold my hand," Chuuya whispered through his teeth. He wasn't sure if Dazai was actually trying to or not, but he gave the warning just in case. It was either that or he had an itch.

"I would never! Though, your hands are very petite and lady-like," Dazai whispered back, "Tempting."

Chuuya passed Dazai a warning look that the brunette didn't see and drew a few more cursive curse words.

When Dazai did take back his arm to examine the damage, he seemed weirdly pleased. "This is wonderful work Chuuya." He whispered.

"What? I called you a bast-"

"Boys." It was Mori. "Do you need to step out for a moment?"

"No," the young executives said in unison, Chuuya growling at Dazai under his breath. Mori looked skeptical but didn't press the matter further.

Dazai was laughing under his breath. Chuuya smiled too, on the inside.
