I'm sorta combining two, so apologies!

So the amazing YukiYunaStar made this suggestion:

Takashi's preschool student gets lost so both Touya and Takashi have to take care of them. 1-A may or. Ah not pitch in as taking care of a child I difficult.

The stellar clank527 suggested:

Class 1-A has to babysit some/one kid(s) for whatever reason and 1-A see touya and takashi interact with them.

So I'm sort of molding them together, I guess? They're sort of the same idea but also not, so I'm molding them into one! I hope that's alright with everyone hahdhkdhf. Thank you to the two users who made these suggestions. I hope I'm not upsetting either of you in any way by combining your idea with someone else's.

I also kept mixing up and calling Touya "Dabi" so if you see that, I'm sorry I tried to get them all-

My writing style kept switching during this??? I don't know why and I'm really sorry what the hell-

Third person pov

Takashi was a good pre-school teacher before he joined UA's faculty. He was adored by his students, and loved by parents. He was a cheerful and peppy young man who made a real effort with each kid and with each parent, no matter how stressful things got. He met any anger or frustration on the guardians' part with a smile and calming tone, willing to listen and communicate. He put in more than a lot of pre-school teachers did, marveling as he got to watch his students unlock their quirks before his very eyes.

He communicated with almost every parent daily. It was a lot of texting, but he did it anyway. He also took notes on the quirks he saw awaken. Nothing serious: just observations, details, and such of the like. A child awakening their quirk was an amazing yet terrifying thing. The power could harm them, or others. The side-effects were never known right away. It was a terrifying time for parents who scrambled to try and learn as much as they could in case they needed to make any accommodations for their kid. Some quirks required certain things to help the user sustain their health, after all.

So when they learned Takashi had been forced to move, they were distraught! A new teacher? Parents who had kids in his class were horrified, and parents who'd been planning on enrolling their children as hopefully one of his students were heavily disappointed. Of course nobody knew why Takashi had moved or to where, only that he'd had to switch jobs suddenly and had taken up a new position at a new school

The class he'd had at the time of his departure was made up of twenty-five students. That was twenty-three sets of parents to handle, plus a single mother and a pair of grandparents. Despite the fact that he'd moved, he hadn't stopped talking to them all. How could he? Takashi adored his students. He even followed the progress of the students who'd moved on, to the best of his ability. He wanted to see them grow and flourish, and be there if they needed him even if he was no longer their teacher.

He stayed in contact with the guardians of those twenty-five students. There was nothing stopping him from having a phone or even leaving the campus, as he was an innocent man. He could even go sleep in his and Touya's apartment if he so wished; though, he'd never leave his husband at the mercy of the twenty students of 1-A plus whoever else crept up from the depths in search of vengeance.

And that's what brought them to now. The single mother of one of his students had run into an issue. School had been canceled due to a suspected gas leak, and she didn't have time to take off work. She was new to the city, having moved in right at the beginning of the school year and enrolling her four year old son in the nearest school. It just so happened that her son had landed in Takashi's classroom.

He'd been a big help, staying after school with the boy when the mother was running late without complaint. He'd even driven the boy home on a few occasions. The mother, Rika Tanahako, wasn't sure how she'd gotten so lucky. Perhaps it was fate that her son's preschool teacher was some sort of saint, or perhaps luck was simply on her side at the time. There had even been times, though extremely rare, when she'd been forced into the night shift where he'd taken the boy home and set him up a pillow fort, full with hourly updates, pictures, and reassurances. All for free. It had made her cry.

Her son, Eishen, was shy. Takashi had worked around that well and hadn't faulted him for it in any way like she might have expected. He was patient, kind, and used a quieter voice and less boisterous approach. He adjusted, just for her son, and she loved the young man for it. It was one less thing she had to fret over in her busy life. Between working two jobs to keep their apartment, settling her divorce, and trying to give Eishen the best life she could, it was a huge weight off her shoulders.

So you can imagine why she might have called him first when she realized her usual sitter wasn't available Fridays. Rika was panicked! Takashi was no longer her son's teacher, but she couldn't help herself. She was new here, and she was practically the only person she really knew. Exhausted and unsure of herself, she'd dialed in with shaky hands and near tears, her son sitting in the backseat.

Takashi had answered after two rings, greeting her with a cheerful: "Good morning, Miss Tanahako! What can I help you with?"

She'd explained in a rush. It was already nearing the time she'd need to set out if she wanted to make it to work on time, and her son was in the back seat sitting quietly with nowhere in the world to go. She'd almost cried right there on the line as Takashi soothingly talked her through what may as well have been a full on panic attack as she dumped the issue upon him. Breaking down in front of her son wasn't something she made a habit of. She'd only done it one other time, though she hadn't been aware he was watching until he shuffled in and wrapped his tiny little arms around her. But now he was in the back seat, and she knew. She knew that, but she couldn't stop herself.

Stress had been building for a while now. It was all pouring out now at this one, little altercation. "A-And I don't know where to put him. I'm just- I-I-I know you ha...have a job a-and a l-l-life but I didn't kn-know who else to call! He t-talks about you s-so much and I-I just know he's comfortable w-with you, an-and he was so h-heartbroken when y-you left, and I just... I'm sorry... I-I-"

She was cut off before she could continue.

"Worry not, Miss Tanahako! I've missed Shen-kun as well!" Takashi chirped. "Never hesitate to call me if you need me. Now, do you know where UA High is?"

She didn't ask questions as she drove, still on the line with him. How or why he was now working at the prestigious UA High, she had no idea. But he'd told her he'd be waiting at the gate, and that was that. She had no other choice. The school was on the way to work anyway, and her son had lit up in the rear view mirror at the thought of getting to spend the day with his favorite teacher. Takashi's kind offer was so upbeat and reassuring that she couldn't refuse it, even if she knew she was being selfish.

Sure enough, he was standing at the large gates of the hero school, swaying happily in the way he did when he was humming. He looked no different than the last she'd saw him, still wearing bright and colorful clothes that her son never failed to ramble excitedly about, and still smiling that same bright smile he wore daily, as though every day were the best day of his life. It was another reason she admired him, even if he was younger than her. He was resilient. He just... he just smiled.

"A-Are you sure you won't get in trouble for this?" She asked hesitantly, sniffling as she transferred her son from her arms to his. Eishen immediately wrapped his arms around his ex-preschool teacher's neck, burying his face in the man's shoulder to show how happy he was, yet how shy he was feeling as well. UA was an uptight place, letting only certain people in. Bringing a child in from the outside during school hours seemed like it would be a big no-no, and she suddenly found herself worried for him as her panic faded. She rubbed at her puffy eyes.

"Let me deal with any problems that arise, and go have a great day at work. Call me when you're ready to pick him up, but don't rush! I want to have this little munchkin to myself for as long as possible." He grinned in a good-natured sort of way that immediately put her at ease. Biting her lip hesitantly, she nodded and turned back to her car. Takashi stood happily, rubbing on hand up and down Eishen's back to comfort him.

"Thank you again." She smiled a small smile. "I'll pick you up later, Eishen. Be good for Mr. Todoroki."

"L-Love you." Eishen sputtered out, face going a little red. Rika felt her heart warm. What had she done to deserve such an amazing little boy? He never complained or cried, and it made her want to hold him and protect him from anything and everything.

"I love you too, baby." She sniffled as she ducked into her car, pulling her seat belt on. Takashi waved as she pulled away, determined not to be late to work. Eishen waved as well when he realized his teacher was doing it, and she could see him smiling even as she drove off. It was the last thing she needed to see to lull her back into a sense of comforting calm. She knew Takashi would give her updates.

Takashi smiled brightly as Rika's car drove away. Of all his students, Eishen was one he adored talking to. Of course he loved them all, but he was a bit closer to Eishen because of the times he'd babysat him. He was a quiet boy with a shy personality and big heart. He liked to have fun, but was meek and hesitant about it in the cutest way. Touya adored him just as much as Takashi did. The dark-blue haired boy was the main reason they had begun to consider adoption right before Touya colossally fucked up.

"Shen-kun, it's been so long! Are you ready to go see the inside of UA?" Takashi turned his full attention to his former student, who lit up and nodded readily, small hands curling around the fabric of the brunette man's colorful checkered shirt. Takashi turned and marched right back through the gates, smiling to Snipe who nodded back hesitantly as the happy man bounced off. Though nobody trusted Touya, most had seen enough of Takashi's personality to know he wasn't lying about his intentions here at UA.

"You're going to be my assistant today." Takashi informed him.

"A-Assistant?" Eishen asked hesitantly. He'd missed Mr. Todoroki, or Mr. Takashi, a lot. Their new teacher was a woman, and she was nice enough, but she wasn't Takashi. Mr. Todoroki was like... like a dad, but not. Eishen didn't have a dad, so he supposed Mr. Takashi and Mr. Touya were the closest he had. He was okay with that. They were both really nice, and he liked that.

"Like a helper." Takashi explained. Eishen nodded slowly, brow furrowing slightly in thought. Takashi almost melted at the sight. So cute! "You're like my partner today; does that make sense?"

"Y-Yeah!" Eishen lit up, eyes bright. Takashi smiled brightly back.

Aizawa glanced at the clock right as Takashi entered the room. The underground pro had just began to wonder where the brunette was. Takashi was a wild card when it came to class. Sometimes he showed up with cupcakes he'd gotten from god knows where, and once he'd even skipped in with flower crowns for everyone. Touya usually came in with the man, but today he'd walked in with Aizawa and plopped down with a sigh and mumble about a phone call and not having the details.

Aizawa could practically feel the color drain from his face as the classroom exploded with fresh chatter and questions. After all, Takashi had just carried in a little boy. He was small, around four or so, with cheeks full of baby-fat, and a head full of messy dark blue hair. His eyes were large and round like a puppy's, a unique aqua color that made half of 1-A melt entirely.

"Takashi, why do you have a child?" Aizawa asked as Hagakure shrieked out asking if it was his. The boy quickly turned red at the attention and buried his face into the shoulder of a very cheerful and unfazed Takashi. How the brunette could simply smile through everything was honestly a little creepy. It reminded him too much of Nezu, who was a terrifying genius who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted.

"As some of you know, I used to be a preschool teacher!" Takashi chirped. "Well, a parent called and said school had been canceled due to a possible gas leak but they couldn't back out of work, so I volunteered!"

"You realize you have a job too, right?" Aizawa's eye twitched.

"Oh, Shen-kun is a good boy. He won't cause trouble." Takashi assured. Eishen risked a peek back at the class, who was chattering. Bakugo apparently hadn't known about the preschool teacher thing and was evidently pissed about it because now he thought Takashi might have been treating him like he was a baby this whole time. Aizawa groans as phones are whipped out to take pictures of Eishen.

The boy's nervous aqua eyes scanned the room until they land on a grinning Touya, who gives a lazy two finger salute. The four year old gasped loudly and began to squirm like his life depended on it. Takashi doesn't even come close to dropping him, showing clear experience with this sort of thing as he carefully sets the kid down. The class squealed as the boy stumbled over his own legs cutely. Squeals that drop to silence as soon as they realize Eishen is heading for Touya's desk.

"Your hair is red!" The boy exclaims, already trying to climb in Touya's lap. Touya lets it happen, ruffling the kid's hair playfully. Aizawa let out another groan while Takashi whipped out his own phone to take an update photo for Rika. The class stares. Why wouldn't they? How did this little boy even know someone like Touya? Was Takashi friends with the redhead beforehand, and nobody was aware?

"I know! Pretty crazy, right?" Touya's voice held a cheer nobody realized it could hold, and the twenty present kids observed the man. He was usually frowning during class. He displayed frustration and annoyance through a scowl, and often times glared at anyone who looked his way. This time he'd painted on a friendly smile that looked scarily genuine, seeming actually happy about having the preschooler in his lap.

"Can we start class now?" Aizawa asked in an annoyed tone. He narrowed his eyes at the satisfied Takashi. "You and I will be talking later."

How did this kid know Touya? That was the real question. They all thought Touya and Takashi seemed awfully familiar, so was it possible they were friends with one another before this all? If so... did Mr. Aizawa know? What if Takashi wasn't who he seemed, and was secretly helping Touya? The thought made them all shiver. Takashi was awfully good at acting. He could drop a smile so fast it was as though someone had simply flipped a page in a book.

Eishen was good. He sat in Touya's lap and traced the lines on the man's hand quietly while Touya struggled over the work placed before him. How was he supposed to know literally any of this? Meanwhile, Izuku was somewhere behind him writing so fast Dabi could smell the smoke coming from his pencil. Then again, the freckled boy was some sort of super genius. So he couldn't really compare himself to the guy without it being increasingly unfair.

"Okay, fuck this." Bakugo slammed his hands onto the table. "Who's the brat? How's he know you?"

"Bakugo." Aizawa hissed. The explosive boy's jaw snapped shut, his teeth audibly clacking together. Glaring the whole time, Bakugo lowered himself back into his seat menacingly. Takashi smiled brightly at him, eyes flashing red. The blonde inhaled sharply. Right, Takashi was supposed to protect Touya just as much as he was supposed to protect them.

Eishen shifted between Takashi and Touya, Takashi engaging him in some songs and carrying him around the room while narrating it as though they were on some epic adventure. Somehow, he managed to do it in way that wasn't distracting in the least. Aizawa had no idea how he was doing it either. Talking without disturbing someone didn't seem possible, but Takashi continued to surprise.

"So he's one of your students?" Izuku asked when lunch rolled around. They'd retreated to their usual room, Izuku draped over Shoto's lap as the boy signed some papers that had to do with the legal fight Takashi was about to enter with Endeavor. Touya was holding Eishen, one arm draped over Takashi's shoulder to hold him closer. Takashi was smiling brightly as he waited patiently for Shoto to finish.

"That's right! Shen-kun was in my class before I came here with Touya." Takashi said. The boy squirmed  a little, face going red with embarrassment. Still, it was abundantly clear that the boy was fond of the two men. Even Touya, who often scared small children such as Eishen. But he didn't even bat an eye at it. He just sat quietly.

"We've babysat him a few times. He's a good kid." Touya ruffled his hair again, and the boy ducked his head with a smile. Truth was, Eishen really liked Touya and Takashi. They had a nice apartment and were really nice, and made good snacks. They also let him watch TV and played lots of games with him. His mommy didn't always have time to do that stuff with him, but that was okay. He loved her a lot anyway.

"Have you ever considered adopting a kid?" Shoto queried, setting the pen down and flipping the folder shut. Takashi caught it with ease as it was slid back over to him, popping it back open to look over things. He smiled, and Touya chuckled.

"Of course we've thought about it." Touya grinned, tilting his head towards the folder in his Husband's hands. "What do you think we're trying to do right now?"

Shoto looked like he'd been hit with a stun gun, but not in a necessarily bad way. Izuku snorted at the wide-eyed expression on his soulmate's face. Takashi grinned, clicking the pen and diving back in to fill out more of the paperwork with nothing short of sheer determination. Now that he had Shoto's signature, all they needed was Rei's. She was technically sound of mind and cleared to leave. Endeavor simply wouldn't let her.

The rest of the day wasn't all that eventful. Eishen sat in Touya's lap more, letting the man play with his hair and try to pat it down. Pieces continued to stick up nonetheless, but the scarred man was determined. People looked at them like they were expecting Touya to snap the boy's neck at any given moment. Takashi also hovered about, sending picture updates to Rika even still. The woman responded to each of them with enthusiasm and relief.

Eishen liked UA. Seeing people's quirks was cool, though he didn't like the way they looked at Touya. He was Mr. Todoroki's husband, which made him a good guy by default. Mr. Todoroki wouldn't marry anyone that was bad. Besides, he was really nice and patient. Those were "rare qualities" as his mom had called them at times.

A few of the students had approached the small boy and asked him simple questions. If he liked school, what Takashi had been like as a teacher, and so on and so forth. He answered them all with a shy stutter and a blush, to which Touya or Takashi would sweep him up and shoo whatever teen was bothering him at the time. He liked those moments especially. He didn't know what was different about being picked up by Touya and Takashi, but there was something. Something safe and amazing, like he was being picked up by a hero. Someone strong who wanted to protect people and save them. It was his favorite feeling.

"So the Pussycats have agreed to see Touya?" Takashi asked gleefully as they walked down the hall. Aizawa grumbled an affirmative as the brunette happily strode after him, Eishen balanced on one hip. His other hand was joined with Touya's as they went. "That's perfect! I'm glad you'll get the chance to apologize."

"Me too. I... I heard what happened with that Ragdoll chick. Shit ain't right." Touya grimaced, shaking his head. Takashi yanked on him lightly with a small 'language, dear!' that made him smile apologetically at the blushing Eishen, who smiled back nervously. The boy seemed distracted as they walked alone, blinking rapidly and looking around as though searching for something. They had just passed the classroom Mei Hatsume was plaguing... Touya didn't know what machine or machine could make a noise like... that, but it couldn't be a good one.

Nezu was waiting ahead with the four members of the Wild, Wild Pussycats, plus Mandalay's six year old nephew. The short boy stared at them with wide eyes as though he'd been expecting something different. Touya raised a brow, looking to Takashi as he retracted his hand, grinning so widely it looked like his face would split.

Ah, miracles were real, it seemed. What a day! The Pussycats looked apprehensive and unsure now, but he had a good ice breaker. And it was sitting right in his arms. Takashi was starting to develop a certain sense for this kind of thing. At this rate, he'd become a matchmaker for hire. Kota's feet were shuffling, and Eishen was fidgeting, eyes darting to the boy in the hat and then to his hands.

"Aizawa, Touya." Takashi said quietly. Aizawa turned with a raised brow. "Wanna see something cute?"

"No." The underground hero said bluntly, while Touya simply blinked.

"Shame." Takashi grinned, setting Eishen down. The boy stumbled on his feet, rushing towards Kota Izumi with an oddly panicked expression. Nezu took a small step back as the four year old leapt into the awaiting arms of the confused six year old. The poor boy didn't look like he knew why he'd opened his arms for a hug to begin with. Pixie-Bob's jaw dropped, and Mandalay blinked, looking between Touya and her nephew with clear confusion.

"You're warm." Kota blinked, unable to stop himself from smiling. "I'm Kota."

"Y-Y-You are too." Eishen blinked back, smiling. "I'm Eishen."

"Me-ow." Tiger purred. Ragdoll let out a squeal.

"Hey, Rika?" Takashi's phone was already to his ear. Aizawa and Touya both stared in a dumbfounded sort of was. How... How the hell had this happened? "I think your son just found his soulmate! Don't worry. Touya is taking photos."
