Chapter 23

Clearing my throat gently, I stir the ramen broth with a small hum. My eyes going over each and every component of the meal that I am making for the twins plus their uncle and their cousins that are arriving very soon. A giggle leaving my lips as the twins stand by my sides and watch as I cook them some pork ramen. Pork cooks away in the oven, crisping off while I stir the noodles into the broth that I made from scratch. Then I begin chopping up some spring onions and boil six eggs with a small hum to use as a side garnish to finish off their meals.

With Shoto and Momo having a gala to attend to with Endeavor and Rei, the twins were left in my care until Toya decided to make an appearance with his four wholly terror brats to take over on babysitting duties. With Toya's wife on a U.A dinner meeting with Aizawa, her father (All Might), Midnight, Yamada and Vlad King, Toya couldn't turn down babysitting duties. Which is something I used to my advantage.

Especially when tonight Katsuki and I agreed on having another date.

As the broth boils and the noodles begin to attract their flavour, I pull away from the oven and head toward the spare room to make sure it's ready for three of the kids that will be sleeping in here. A small smile on my lips as the twins follow me like a puppy as I fluff up the pillows and make sure the bed is ready for Toya's three older children while the spare room next door is for Toya and his youngest. When the spare room for the kids is done, I head into the larger spare room where the crib that I made earlier is ready.

After making sure the crib is stable, I grab a little duck blanket from the drawers and set it on the baby mattress before grabbing my bag to pull out some outfits. The grins on the twins lips make me snort as they begin looking at the outfits that Sakino had chosen for me. The pair of them silently talking to each other as I wait for them to come to a conclusion while I go back and check on the ramen with a small hum. A giggle leaves my lips as the boys race after me with their chosen outfit for me.

The twins have been adamant about choosing my outfit for my date that they haven't stopped talking about it. It was almost a wonder how their parents know nothing about Katsuki and I yet due to how much they go on about it. Knowing that I'll be indecisive about my outfit, I allowed the twins to pick it on one condition, they quit harassing Katsuki about giving me a ring. I didn't want to scare Katsuki off with the twins and I know how annoyed he was getting about the need to propose to me when he wasn't even ready.

And we weren't officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet. We were still feeling things out and hoping for the best. So far though, it was going amazing. We've been having so much together that I feel like we could be finally edging from seeing one another to boyfriend and girlfriend!

Kat says we're close too which can't curb my excitement at all!

After taking the outfit from the twins, I have a quick once over on it and take it in. They must have their mother's sense of style. In my hands lay a beautiful soft white blouse paired with a deep red skirt and a leather jacket. The twins comment that the jacket looked cool for me to wear. Sending them both a smile and ruffling their head of hair, I head toward the bathroom and quickly change out of my sweatpants and shirt into my skirt and blouse.

Once ready, I walk about of the bathroom and look at my reflection with a small hum. A giggle leaving my lips as the twins stand behind me with a big thumbs up and bright grins. To be honest, I looked great! Maybe I should get the twins to choose my outfits more often?

"Right! Let's sort your dinner out," I hum, ruffling their hair before heading toward the kitchen counter and grabbing six bowls, one each of the twins, one for Toya and one each of his older three children (his youngest being a newborn) and beginning to pour the ramen and the pork into the bowls, "Excited to see Hiro, boys?"

"Yeah! We're gonna watch movies!" Ryoku cheers punching the air as I lay the bowls on the dining table as the doorbell rings, "That'll be uncle Toya!"

Giggling gently, I walk toward the front door and unlock it and undo the latch before opening it up to reveal the one and only Toya Todoroki. Otherwise known as the villain, Dabi, in previous years. The scarred male arches a brow at my get up as he walks in with his three children right behind him. His baby girl strapped to his chest as she nibbles on a teething ring.

"You do know I'm a married man, (Y/n)," he teases, chuckling as I roll my eyes and run my fingers through my hair, "I know I'm quite irresistible,"

"Oh please," I hum, rolling my eyes before giggling as Saori rushes over to give me a cuddle. Her red hair at the roots slowly blend into white tips shaping her beautiful soft face, "Hey Saori, how are you sweetie?"

"I'm good," Saori mumbles as I hug her back before she walks into the dining room to sit down and eat her ramen, "Thank you for the meal,"

"Awww, you cooked dinner for us too?" Toya coos, wrapping an arm around my shoulders making me scoff and shrug him off with a laugh, "Damn, maybe you are wife material. Bakugo sure is a lucky man,"

"Dad, I'm sure mom wouldn't appreciate you flirting with someone," Hiro speaks up, picking up Kōri and placing the younger twin onto his shoulders with a small hum, "Plus Kacchan will totally kick your ass,"

"I'm only messing, bud, I wouldn't trade your mom for the world," Toya coos, ruffling his sons hair with a chuckle before turning to me as I grab my bags, "Thank you for making dinner for us,"

"Of course, the twins often tell me how bad of a cook you are," I muse making him scoff as the twins brightly giggle between them, "Have fun with Uncle Toya boys, behave yourselves,"

"Ooh, because I'm sticking my neck out for you to have fun times with your new boyfriend," Toya begins making me stop in my tracks and turn toward the oldest Todoroki sibling, "You owe me, missy,"

"How about next time you and your wife have a date, I will babysit your kids," I explain, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear as I hear Katsuki sound the horn of his car, "That sound good?"

"Perfect," Toya hums, kissing his youngest daughters little forehead as she babbles incoherently at him, "I'm holding you to that... boys, say bye to Miss (Y/n),"

"Bye bye!" The twins chirp simultaneously making me giggle and waves them goodbye with a small giggle before leaving the house.

As Toya shuts the door behind me, I turn toward Katsuki's car and giggle when he honks the horn again and rolls his window down to greet me as I walk down the porch. The blonde playfully wolf whistles making me roll my eyes and press my lips against his gently before sliding into the passenger. With my bag in the seat behind me, I pull Katsuki in for another kiss, my hand resting on his cheek as he happily kisses back with a chuckle.

Once seated and my seatbelt secured safely, Katsuki drives off with a smirk. Resting one of his hands on the steering wheel, Katsuki slides his other hand to my thigh and squeezes it playfully making me snort and link my hand with his. The blonde pulls his hand back toward him to kiss the back of my hand.

"How was your day, baby face?" He asks, turning into a junction and driving down the motorway with soft tunes playing in the background, "Have a good day?"

"Yeah, today was actually pretty great," I explain looking toward him as he nods with a small grin as he parks up into the driveway of his home, "Today was theory based so I didn't leave class with burns and cuts on my hands and the twins and I played a couple games before I left,"

"That sounds great," Katsuki says with a smile, opening the car door for me to leave his car before sweeping me off my feet making me squeal and hold onto him tightly in fear he'll explode us into the air like he did last time, "What? Worried I'll drop you baby face?"

"Considering your track record? Definitely," I tease, smiling as he unlocks his front door and slides into the front hallway with a small hum, "So how was your day oh great Dynamight?"

"Well if you must know, baby face, it was alright," Katsuki explains, sitting me up on the kitchen counter and pulls out a takeout menu for us to choose from, "I thought we could order some takeout tonight, I can't be fucked to cook and you've already cooked a meal tonight. It's up to you though, I can cook if you want. You don't have to have —"

"Takeout sounds great Kat," I hum, cutting him off before he goes off on a tangent. I cup his cheek gently and kiss his nose as he rests his cheek against my hand, "I could go for some poppadoms and stuff. I do love some Indian cuisine,"

"That sounds perfect, we could have some tikka masala... and some biryani," Katsuki hums, licking his lips at the curries he could have making me giggle, "And those samosas too, mmm... sounds good,"

"Do you need to be in a room alone with your food?" I tease, arching a brow as Katsuki clears his throat and squeezes my waist with a small pout, "That's adorable Katsuki, you get all riled up over food,"

"I can't help it, it's too good," Katsuki says, looking through the menu and smacking his lips together as he eyes a couple of dishes that he knows he'll have to have, "Can we just order the whole menu?"

"I would love to do that but I think we'd waste too much food," I reason softly, looking at the menu too with a small smile. My stomach grumbling in satisfaction as I eye all the food presented at my picking, "Maybe we could have poppadoms too! Have you got mango chutney somewhere? Ooh! Ooh! And we could have a vindaloo!"

"We'll have to add naan bread too, can't go without that can we?" Katsuki hums as he writes down the dishes we want before biting his lip and pointing toward another dish, "How about this? Tandoori chicken or prawns?"

"They look delicious babe," I hum, nodding as he adds that to our list of food before he grins to himself, "God I can't wait for that to arrive now!"

Almost excitedly, Katsuki orders our food with a big grin on his lips. The pair of us anticipating for the arrival of our food that we cannot wait to dig into. After Katsuki pays for the food, he sets his phone down and then slips in between my legs with a small smirk. The male licking his lips as I wrap my arms around his neck and tangle my fingers into his blonde locks. Slowly, I wrap my legs around his waist making him chuckle and lean in for a soft kiss.

"I never found out what you got to do today," I explain softly, looking into those ruby eyes as he hoists me off the kitchen counter and into his arms, "Did you beat up any villains? Save any damsels? Were you at the college today?"

"I was at the college today," He explains, chuckling when I tense up slightly at the little statement while he rubs soothing circles on my back and sits down on the couch, "Did some orientation and then some one on ones with the heroes in training,"

It's not like I didn't ask about him going to the college but whenever he brings it up it makes my stomach coil in a way that feels uncomfortable. Maybe it's because Kana is there around him. You never know what kind of stunt she could pull at Katsuki. There was a slight pang of fear almost, whenever he brought up his college classes. Always a fear that someone, mainly Kana, would try to make a move. That she would try to take him away from me...

It annoys me so much but there's nothing I can do...

Noticing my small discomfort, Katsuki pulls me close into his body and kisses my cheek as I snuggle as much as I can into him. My head nestled into his neck as he rocks me gently. It helped that Katsuki wouldn't get defensive about me getting like this. He knew of my track record with Kana. He knew that I didn't trust her one moment but he knew I trusted him. And sometimes that all I need.

"Hey, you know you're way much better than she'll ever be," he mumbles into my ear making my stomach do somersaults, "If she tries anything, I will personally see that my boot goes so far up her ass she tastes leather,"

"She'd probably like that," I hum, with a curt chuckle as Katsuki snorts, "I'm just being paranoid... it's nothing —"

"Hey, your feelings aren't nothing," Katsuki tells me making me look up at him with a small faint smile, "However you're feeling, it's okay to feel like that. Don't dismiss your feelings just because you think it's nothing, baby face. I want you to talk to me whenever you feel like this, whenever you feel low I want you to talk to me about it. Okay? Don't bottle it up because it won't get any better,"

"Okay..." I reply softly, blushing as he kisses each and every one of my knuckles, "I never took you for the emotional kind of guy... you never cease to amaze me, Katsuki,"

"I suffered a lot in high school because I bottled everything in... I hurt myself because I thought my feelings were stupid," he explains making my eyes widen slightly. The way he's opening up to me, being vulnerable around me, makes my heart jump in shock, "That's why I'm a big advocate for mental health. I've suffered with a lot of things in the past. I just want you to know that I am here for you okay?"

"Wow..." I mumble with wide eyes, gently tracing circles on his hand as he chuckles gently and smiles at me, a playful gleam in his eye. This guy is so attractive to me. He's not dismissing me, he's welcoming me in and he's letting me see his scars... mental and physical, "Just when I thought you were amazing, you got ten times greater..."

"Thank you, I do try," Katsuki hums, kissing my forehead as the doorbell rings, "That'll be our food, wait here,"

Nodding gently, I slide onto the couch and watch as he walks into the hallway to get our food. My heart swelling for joy as I do a little celebration dance at how amazing this feeling is. My butterflies fluttering tenfold. The smile on my lips unable to falter with how fantastic Katsuki is. He's such an amazing person. He's an advocate for something so important and something so vital nowadays. He cares. He's known as Japan's badass but he's actually a real sweetheart...

How can one man be so attractive?

This man is going to be my boyfriend. It's settled. I want this man. I need this man in my life because he makes me feel like I can face anything. He makes me feel like I could face the strongest villain known to man and come out victorious. He makes me forget about Kana and my struggles and my fears. He brings out a side of me that I never thought existed. I'm confident around him. I'm happier. I'm so much more happier than I ever was...

Is this how you feel when you find your soulmate?...

That's really cheesy, isn't it?

Katsuki Bakugo is the one for me. I don't want anyone else. I don't need anyone else. Katsuki accepts my feelings. He supports me and we have the same interests. He shows off, impresses me. He lets me see the side of him that I'm sure only his parents or extremely close friends have seen. He makes me feel like I'm loved. Like I'm whole...

"Oh my god! I didn't know you lived here!"

And just like that my mood sours. The fake tone of the voice making me want to throw up the cookies I had earlier with the twins. The whiny, pitchy voice that I didn't want to hear for the rest of my life is at the door talking to Katsuki. What the hell is she doing here?!

Since when did she become a delivery girl?!

Although, maybe she attacked the person that was supposed to deliver our food and then decided to give Katsuki his food. I wouldn't put that past her because that is something that she would totally do.

Clearing my throat silently, I run my fingers through my hair and head toward the doorway of the living room. Far enough so I can see down the hallway but back enough so I can't be seen from the front door. My eyes widening, almost bulging out of their eye sockets, when I see who's at the door. Those blonde ringlets and big blue doe eyes that flutter aimlessly at Katsuki as she hands him his food.

Kana... the she - devil herself...

"You know, if I thought it was you that I was delivering the food too, I would have added my number," Kana coos making me gag at her comment while I look into the living room with a rather disgusted face. Is she being serious right now?!

"That's... very.... thoughtful of you... but no," Katsuki hums, the annoyance and the discomfort clearly radiating off his words as he assess the food in our bag, "Now I better be g —"

"You seem to have a lot of food for just yourself," Kana says cutting him off, my eyes widening when I notice her leaning against the doorway. I'm totally going to disinfect that when she's gone, "Maybe I could come in and you and I could get to know each other a bit better... what do you say?~"

"You know what I'd rather you do," Katsuki hums, the smirk radiating in his words as he clears his throat while the girl leans in flirtatiously, "I'd rather you get the fuck off my porch before I get you fired from your agency and file a restraining order,"

"Ugh... buzzkill much," She whines, pouting toward the blonde who is clearly unamused by her bratty behaviour, "Fine... I'll see you in class Mr. Dynamight~"

"Ugh, I'm gonna have to burn this shirt, I got bitch stains all over it," Katsuki curses as he shuts the front door in her face and looks toward me as I snort at his comment, "God she's so annoying. She's got to be the most annoying person I know and I know a lot of annoying people,"

"I know, but at least we have our food," I hum, kissing his cheek making him instantly relax and nuzzle his nose into my neck making me laugh and snuggle into him, "I'm bloody starving,"

"Then we best not keep ourselves waiting," Katsuki says as I grab the plates from the kitchen while he sets the plastic containers full of our food on the coffee table, "God this looks amazing!"

As soon as I enter the living room, my stomach jumps for joy at the sight of our dinner. Colourful dishes of red, yellow and orange burst out on the coffee table with beautiful yoghurt based sauces and an amazing smelling salad. The tandoori dishes making my stomach jump while Katsuki digs into a samosa with a small moan of delight at the food.

This is food heaven!

In an instant, I'm digging into the dishes one by one, piling up my plate. My stomach singing for the hills as I finally chow down on a beautifully spiced curry while Katsuki stuffs his face full of beautifully packed samosas. The bright colours of the food makes me want to eat even more. Both Katsuki and I making it our mission to devour each and every morsel of food in our presence. The fact that Kana was at the door instantly rushing out of our heads and the thought of food consuming us.

"This is such a good call babe! We should order takeout more often!"...

"Mmm! Yeah! This is so good!"...
