Part Eighteen

TAYLOR'S POV
The lunch bell eventually rang, Debbie met me at my locker and we both walked into the lunch hall and towards our table.

"Carl was acting weird today." I told her, walking with our arms linked towards the lunch line.

"Really? How?" Debbie replied, but she seemed to know what was up.

"He asked me if I thought our relationship was serious." I told her, giggling a little.

"Boys.." Debbie sighed, rolling her eyes. We both grabbed a tray and piled on our lunches - I grabbed a fruit cup, a turkey sandwich and a can of diet Pepsi. Debbie and I went and sat at our table, which consisted of the "popular" kids, some of which went to cheer with me.

"So, little Taylor Reed is dating big Carl Gallagher, hm?" Holly snickered. I rolled my eyes.

"It's not official yet, hu?" she added. I shook my head, feeling slightly embarrassed.

"Don't waste your time, hun." she leaned over the table and whispered, I smiled at her and nodded.

CARL'S POV
I walked into the lunch hall, mainly looking for Taylor. I eventually spotted her sitting with Debbie at the popular table. Wait? The popular table?!

"Hey, babe." I chirped as I walked over to the table. Taylor smiled, before sipping her Pepsi.

"Can I ask you something?" I said more quietly.

"In private." I added, glancing at the rest of the table.

"Ooh!" a few people cooed, laughing afterwards. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm kinda, uh, busy." Taylor chuckled. I noticed people at her table snickering.

"Come round my house tonight, or tell me after school." she suggested, smiling up at me. I nodded, despite the disappointment I felt inside. I leaned down and we shared a ten second long kiss before breaking apart and leaving each other to do their thing.

Taylor is sitting at the popular table because she was friends with them all through cheer and middle school, just explaining >_<
(and Carl is confused about whys she's at their table cause he doesn't know her well)
