Dog Fight Football

A breeze flew into Serenity's room, she opened her eyes slightly. She took a breath and sat up. The clock read four am, she couldn't fall back asleep. Last night Hangman did call and apologize to her, for going out of line but she told him it would take a lot to forgive and she meant what she said she would do if it happened again. Many of the other pilots texted her even Penny to make sure she was fine.

She read the text she received from Crow. "Wear beach wear,  Maverick said for all of us to meet at the beach." Serenity looked at the message confusedly. She grabbed a sports bra and a pair of gym shorts.

I got dress even though I still have a few hours before I need to leave but I have so much on my mind. I am starting to realize things about Bradley, these feelings I have been trying shove out for so long, I am starting to let them in. Every time I am around him, my heart flutters that for sure and most importantly I am at peace when I am around him.

Serenity turned on the television to see that Supernatural was on, she sat on my bed and watched it, It was the mystery spot episode where Sam repeats Tuesday all over again. "Judge Myers? At night he puts on a bunny outfit" Sam said which caused Judge Myers to spill his chocolate milk which caused Serenity to bust out laughing. She needed that laugh but She felt bad for Sam in this episode, like who would want to relive a day where you have to watch your love one die all over again, that be like her reliving the day where she lost her father and mother all over again.

A few hours flew by, Serenity had some coffee, she knew she was going to get exhausted sometime during today. She turned everything off and put on her shoes. She stepped inside her impala and looked at the photo she had put in there last night. It was photo of her and Bradley when they were children, Goose had actual took that photo and her mom has had it ever since. She smiled at it then made her way to the beach.

She pulled into her spot, as she got out of her car, somebody pulled her into a hug and it was Crow. "My goodness don't do that again." Crow scolded her like a mom getting after kid for running off. "I needed to or I was going to do something I was going to end up regretting later." Tails said. Crow shook her head and pulled away, "You scared everyone you know, but Rooster knew exactly where you were... goodness... when are you two going to date?" She asked which threw Tails off guard. "Don't give me bullshit either Tails, I see how protective he is over you, especially yesterday when you vanished." She added. Tails sighed.

"My heart wants him but I am afraid." Tails replied. "Why? If you two love each other, go for!" She exclaimed. Tails looked ahead and saw everyone on the beach. "Wait, are we playing what I think we are playing?" She asked as she shut her door. "Yep, but the last one there...." Before Crow could finish, Tails playful shove her on the ground and ran. "TAILS WHAT THE HELL!" Crow shouted causing everyone to look and giggle as they saw Tails running and Crow tailing her. 

Tails made it before Crow, Crow gave her a dirty look. "You little ass, you cheated." She said and Tails gave her a look. "What, you would've done the same to me." She replied. She sighed in defeat, "Well... that's true." Crow admitted. They walked over to join everyone else. "Tails!" Coyote yelled. She nodded. Phoenix ran up to her and smile, "I am glad you are doing alright, just don't scare us like that again." Phoenix said as she pointed at Tails and Tails held her hands up. "Look I had to get away, I'm sorry." Tails said. Phoenix patted her on the shoulder, "It's fine beside if looks could kill, He regrets it, when he saw the pain in your eyes, he felt so guilty ." Phoenix said. "He apologize but I told him I won't forgive him instantly and he understood." Tails told her. "I don't blame you." She replied.

Tails made eye contact with Rooster, she looked him up and down then looked back him, She winked and smiled at him caused him to smile back at her. "Any of you played Dog Fight Football before?" Maverick asked them as he walked up to them chucking one ball at Tails and the other at Hangman. Everybody looked at each other with confusion. "Well, you'll start today." He finished. Everybody picked their teams. 

"AND HUT!" Someone shouted as the whistle blew and both balls are thrown from the two teams' legs. Crow passed the to Tails before Payback tackled her. Tails looked to see if anyone was free, and nope, so she made a run for it. Hangman tries to go after but she outruns him and makes it over the line, She jumped with joy and tossed the ball at the ground. "LETS GO!!!" She shouted as Crow, Coyote, Phoenix, Bob and Dawn cheer her on. Rooster chuckled at her, As she ran back to her team, she looked at Rooster then gestures that she's got her eyes on her.

Dawn looked at her. "You two, are so cute." She said as she looked at Rooster and then back at Tails. "We are friends." Tails said, Dawn snorted and said "For now." "Oh not you too." Tails said to her and she laughed. Tails shook it off, "ALRIGHT EVERYONE, LET"S GET BACK INTO IT!" Tails shouted to start another play.

At this point of time, everyone has lost count.  Everyone was just having a blast at this point. Tails and Rooster was competing at this point and everyone thought it was amusing. "Just come on Tails, just give in, you won't win this." Rooster said to her as they looked eye to eye. "Bring it on!" She exclaimed as the ball was tossed her way and she made a run for it, but in the opposite way and Rooster was after her. She slowed down a bit, thinking she was safe, but she was mistaken. Rooster grabbed her by the waist and pick her up. "ROOSTER!" She exclaimed and he was laughing as he spin her around.

"Rooster, we are pilots and you know I could do this for hours, you know!" She exclaimed. He let out laugh and puts her down. Then they made eye contact with each other, Rooster smiled. "You know you have these gorgeous eyes that anyone can get lost in for hours." He told her. She smiled. "Please, when you smile, I melt into a puddle." She said, he blushed. She looked over the direction where everyone was then back at Rooster.She gave him a look, "Anyways... I Gotta blast!" She said as she took off before Rooster had chance. "I am going to get you Tails!" He exclaimed and She giggled as she ran to the line as he was tailing her.
