Crow and Hangman to the rescue

they looked ahead at the enemy's air base. Maverick spotted two aircrafts, knowing that he can fly one of them while Tails could fly the other. Rooster looked over at Maverick "Your not serious?" Rooster had questioned him. Maverick looked over at them both then got up "He's serious love." Tails whispered to Rooster. Rooster looked through the binoculars. "You've gotta be kidding me. An F-14?" Rooster said as he looked ahead. "River and I shot down three MIGS in one of those." Maverick commented. Tails smiled at the mentioning of her mother.

"We don't even know if those bag of trash can fly." Rooster stated. Tails looked at Maverick, Maverick looked at her then at Rooster then back to the planes. "Let's find out." Maverick said as he got up and Tails followed. "Serenity.... Mav." Rooster called out then he followed them.

The trio had came up to two planes, two F-14s which Tails had experience with because of her mother. Tails checked over everything then looked at Maverick and Rooster. "They'll need gas, don't worry I got the other plane." Tails said as she looked at the other plane. "Serenity, your shoulder." Rooster said sternly. Tails looked at her boyfriend, "Love, I will be fine, I've been dealing with the pain this long now, I promise I will be cautious." Tails said assuring him as she went to connect the gas hose to the plane that she was flying. Tails climbed on board,  looking at the controls.

"Mom you flew this, holy..." Tails said looking at the controls. Tails smiled as she saw the gas levels increasing. "Tails, you sure you can handle flying that?" Maverick asked her. "I think you two forget I am daughter of Stella and Howard Lewis, I can handle anything." Tails replied which caused them both to smile at her. Tails turned on the personal tracker that was equipped on her flight suit.

"Sir, we're picking up a signal from Tails in a F-14?" The communications operator questions which caused Dawn to lift her head up. "Tails?!" Dawn said with excitement.

Rooster unconnected both of the gas hoses before climb in behind Maverick. The pull out and realize the taxi way was shorten due to it being destroy. Tails looked over at Maverick and nodded. The wings started to come out. "Um, why are they wings coming out?" Rooster questioned them but both of them stayed silent. "Uh you two, you seem confused, this is a taxi way, which is a very very short runway." Rooster explained. Maverick and Tails looked at each other, this was blast in the past for Maverick because it feels like the time him and her mother did something like this. Tails nodded, both of them flipping the engine switch once more.

"We got this.. we got this." Tails whispered to herself as she grasped the accelerator tightly before blasting it the full way. "Oh shit!" Rooster yells as they go full speed down the taxiway. They get up in the air, Maverick damaging the landing gear in the process. "Well damn." Tails said as she got up beside them. Rooster also turned on the tracker on his suit.

"Sir, I've also got Rooster on the radar." communication operator said to Cyclone. "All three of them are alive." Dawn muttered as she looked at Coyote. Crow was in relief to hear that the three of them were fine. "Permission to assist?" Crow asked. "Permission granted Crow and Hangman." Cyclone replied as Hangman went to his plane and got ready.

Tails pain in her shoulder worsen but she shrugged it off once more. She became alarmed when two planes popped up on the radar. "Uh Maverick, we got a problem." Tails stated. Rooster looked on his radar and saw the two enemy's planes. Maverick looked at Tails, Tails had a look on her face. "Tails, what are you doing?" Maverick asked concernedly. Tails flew ahead which caused one of them to go after her. "Damn it." Rooster said as Maverick followed, which caused Maverick to increase his speed. "Holy shit!" Rooster shouted as he wasn't expecting that. "Tails what are you doing?" Maverick asked her. "I have no clue, I am doing this as I go!" She yelled.

"Shit, I'm out of rounds Maverick!" She shouted as he had ran out. "Rooster and Tails...you are going have to eject." Maverick said. "What the hell!" Tails said. "Huh!" Rooster questioned. Maverick flew up as Tails followed attempting to gain an altitude suitable for the both of them to eject. "Now Eject Bradley and Serenity! Eject!" Maverick yelled. Both of them pulled hard on the yellow loops. "Shit!" Tails yelled as she couldn't eject. "It's stuck!" Rooster yelled.

"I'm so sorry Goose, River and Dodger." Maverick whispered. Before they knew it the fighter jets in front of them exploded in front of them. Above them, two F-18s soared by and circled back to them. "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your saviors speaking." Hangman said as the three of them sighed in relief.

Crow looked at Tails and smiled in relief. "I am going to need a hug from you because that was so fucking scary." Crow said and Tails smiled. "You know it! I'll see you at base." Tails said with a smile as Crow and Hangman took off.

Tails got out her plane and was immediately pulled into a hug by Crow and Dawn. "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" Crow exclaimed. "That was so scary but you did, you all did it!" Dawn said as Tails smiled. Phoenix came running and pulled Tails into a hug. "I thought you were gone!" Phoenix exclaimed. Tails smiled and pulled away, she looked at the three of them. "Nothing can't take me out!" She yelled as they smiled at her. 

"That was some damn good flying, Crow." Hangman said to her. Tails looked at them before saying anything. "Look you two better kiss or go on a date or something because this killing me!" Dawn exclaimed. "Dawn!" Tails and Phoenix exclaimed. Crow smiled before she knew Hangman had his lips on Crow's. 

"Who would ever thought." Dawn said. Tails saw Bob, "BOB! You did awesome buddy!" Tails exclaimed. "I should be telling that to you!" He exclaimed and Tails smiled. Then she saw Rooster, she smiled. Walked up to him and Maverick. "You did good Serenity." Maverick said. Tails smiled. "You fly like River that's for sure, both her and your father would be proud of you." Maverick said and she smiled. Maverick walked off leaving the couple alone. 

"What am I going to do with you?" Rooster said as she remembered earlier. "You love me and you know it." Tails said as she smiled at her boyfriend. He smiled and put his lips onto hers. They heard whistling which caused the couple to giggle. "Is your shoulder fine, how much pain are you in?" He asked her. "It still hurts, but not bad, the pain comes and goes." She replied. "Wait, you hurt your shoulder?" Dawn asked as the pilots looked at her.

"I'm fine." She told them. Rooster shook his head. "Stubborn like your mom I see." Maverick said. "Oh don't even... but I promise everyone, I am fine." Tails assured them. Crow shook her head "Nope Nope Nope, you are getting it checked out, no more excuses, no more buts, Can we get someone to look at Tails's shoulder!" Crow shouted at medical staff. The two of them chuckled then Rooster lead her the Medical tent.
