Chapter 26

When I walked to school the next morning, I wasn't surprised the see the students crowding around Nara and Jimin at the locker area.

"Have you heard that?" A girl spoke to another one as they walked past me.

"That Jimin and Nara are now a couple? Hell, yeah! They're like the new hottest couple in school!" Her friend replied to her.

"Wow," I unenthusiastically said to myself as I walked to my locker. The thing is, I have to walk pass them in order to reach my locker and I'm really trying my hardest to avoid them right now but this is just not helping me at doing so.

I cursed under my breath and quickly made my way to my locker but as soon as I took a step towards it I was doomed to death. I knew it when Nara called for me in front of everyone, inviting gasps from all the piranhas hungry for information and gossips.

I slowly turned to her and walked to them, putting on a fake smile in front of everyone. Some people were whispering things about me being Jimin's ex girlfriend and how his taste changes 360° when he decided to date Nara instead.

"What is it, Nara?" I looked at only her without casting a glance at the guy who cheated on me.

She had a smirk that I wish I could take down. "How are you feeling today?"

"Oh, I feel grand. Don't worry about me," I said sarcastically. I could feel all these eyes lingering on me as they watched this scene unfolding.

"Good then. As you have heard, Jimin and I are now officially dating," She linked her arm with Jimin and somehow I could sense he felt uncomfortable.

"That's great news! When's the reception?"

"What?" She raised her eyebrow, not getting my sarcasm.

"Oh, wait, sorry. You said dating, I heard married. Lol, sorry. I thought you said you were married so I asked for your wedding reception date, my bad," I mocked her and brushed my hair off of my shoulders. I felt victorious when I could see the dismay written on her face.

"Anyway, we're going to celebrate it so we're hosting a party at my place. We thought it would be nice if..." She stared at me from top to bottom and grinned before she continued, "his ex-girlfriend, could join and celebrate us, too."

I knew the moment she said that she was only going to embarass me and I could feel the blood boiling inside me but I tried my hardest to brush it off. Especially since we're in front of everyone. Seriously though, they're holding up a party just to celebrate being a couple?

"Of course, it would be nice! The ex should obviously need to celebrate the new couple, especially since my ex downgraded, I mean, upgraded. Oopsie," I heard people laughing and gasping in shock when they realised that I said Jimin downgraded to Nara. I actually think that some of them were preaching me when they moved to my side.

Nara looked at me through gritted teeth but she was also trying her hardest to maintain a reputation. "Very well, then. We'll see you on Friday night at my place."

"Sure, I'm pretty pumped to celebrate. See you there," I gave her a sarcastic smile and waved to her as I walked away to my locker.

Great, now I have to attend a party at my nemesis' house to celebrate my nemesis and ex dating. Perfect, just perfect.

Right after class ended, I went back home and straight away dumped myself onto my bed.

"Ughhhhhhh," I groaned against my sheet that I clamped so hard, even my nails were almost digging the palm of my hand.

I feel so angry that Jimin didn't even say a word that could at least comfort me, well, I know that we broke up but still, he could've tried to say something soothing since he was the one who cheated on me in the first place. With this going on, Jimin cheating on me, Jimin dating someone else, I just feel really angry.

I need to vent out to someone. And that's how Taehyung is now on the way from his place to my place after I called him, in need of someone to shout at.

I knew he was here when there was a knock on my bedroom door and his brown hair slowly peeked out from the door.

"Jinni?"

"Come in," I sighed and lied back flat against my bed, staring at the ceiling.

I felt the spot on my bed beside me dipped and I turned my head to my right, seeing Taehyung sitting cross legged there.

"What's wrong?" He raised his eyebrow.

I turned to the ceiling and closed my eyes. "I hate that bitch."

"What did the bitch do to you this time?"

"She just—ugh, I'm so angry right now she—" I opened my eyes and rubbed my temples, feeling my blood boiling.

"Hey, take it slow. I'm listening," He brought his hand to my head and gently stroked it. Finally. At least, that touch is soothing to me.

I took a deep breath and let it go out of frustration. "They're officially dating, wow." I faked a smile.

"Already?"

I nodded.

"I thought he was going to say sorry to you or would at least not date her out of embarassment for cheating on you, but, heol," He scoffed, making it seem that it was unbelievable for him to find it out too.

"Wanna hear the worse part?"

"What?"

"They're actually hosting a party to celebrate being a couple. And they're inviting me," I turned to Taehyung and pointed to myself.

"So, what are you going to do now?" He asked after being silent for a while.

"I don't know," I placed my arms on top of my eyes, closing them.

"You should go," He stated blatantly.

"What?" I was confused. Why would I go to a party where they're celebrating my ex who cheated on me?

"You should go," He stated again, this time one by one, slowly.

"Just think about it, you can shove it into their face that you're better off without him," He had a smirk on his face, attracting me into his idea.

I got up from my lying position and stared at him. "What a brilliant guy."

"I know, right?" He poked the tip of my nose. "I'll go with you."

"And continue with our plan of making Jimin jealous?"

"Now we're talking," He highfived me.

"When's the party?" He questioned me as this time, he was the one who lied down on the bed.

"This Friday," I lied back down beside him.

We both stared at the ceiling for awhile before I turned to look at him after feeling his head turned to look at me before.

"I'm going to break this out," He said as frowned.

"What?"

"We always stared at each other, but we've never had an official staring competition." He said the most unexpected thing ever, and I burst out into laughter. I thought he was going to say something serious.

"So now what? You wanna have a staring competition?"

He nodded sheepishly and wiggled his way closer to me.

"How does the rule go by?" I tilted my head to get a clearer look at him.

"Hmm, let me think," He put on his thinking cap and stared at the ceiling for a while before he turned his attention to me back again.

"The loser needs to buy the winner ice cream," His face lit up.

I scoffed in relief. "That's easy, I won't even feel threatened if I lose. Ice cream? What are you, five?"

He frowned and glared at me for a while before he turned serious and climbed in closer to me. He was so serious as he leaned in closer I was actually creeped out and started backing away from him when I realised I can't do so when he took both my arms and pinned me against the bed.

"Wh-what are you doing?" I stuttered and gulped when I realised he's really close to me.

"You asked me if I was five, right? Just because I told you the loser needs to buy the winner ice cream? News flash, I don't need to prove I'm 22," He whispered against my ear.

"O-okay—" Before I could say anything else he cut me off.

"You wanna do it your way, then? Okay, let's do it your way. The loser needs to," He suddenly took off his shirt, revealing his perfectly toned abs and belt which led me to think of very ridiculous things and somehow I got scared. He leaned forward into my ear and whispered, "be submissive to the winner."

I don't know if I heard it clearly or not but either way, I couldn't believe what I heard. "T-The loser needs to be submissive to the winner?"

By now, he was already kissing and nipping the skin on my neck. "Mhmm," He nodded against me.

"B-But, we haven't even started yet. Why does it seem like you're already acting like the winner?" I bit back my lip, trying my best not to moan when he did his magic.

He suddenly pulled away and covered his mouth, or I would rather say, his laugh. He laid down on his back and finally let out the laugh he was trying to keep in, confusing the hell out of me.

"You're so funny," He laughed and put his shirt back on. Damn, I wished he kept that away for longer.

"What do you mean?" I got up from bed and waited for his answer. This guy better not say he's kidding or else—

"I was just kidding," He gave me his rectangular smile and hugged my pillow.

"KIM TAEHYUNG!" I don't care what'll happen and pushed him away from my bed, resulting into more fits of laughter from him.

He will seriously be the death of me.
