Maya's pov:

I was getting ready for school. To be honest, I don't want to go to school. I don't want to face Lucas. But, I guess I have no other choice.

I go take a shower and then do my make up and hair. After that, I pick an outfit. I decided to wear a plain white t shirt and a red skater skirt and a flannel around my waist with my black boots. Then, I drove to school.

I was taking my books from my locker, until Josh came to me. and handed me my headphones.

"You left this in my car" He said while handing me my headphone as I take it from him.

"Thanks, for everything. Yesterday was fun, it made me forget all my problems" I smile and he nodded.

"You know that I'm always here for you" I smiled and hugged him.

Lucas's pov

I decided to listen to Maya's explanation. But I didn't found her anywhere. Then I thought that she would be in her locker. And I was right. She's there. With Josh. Hugging.

"Ahem" I fake a cough.

"Oh hi Lucas" they noticed me and quickly let go of each other.

"We were just uhm... you know... um.... Yeah..." said Josh awkwardly. "You know, I'm just gonna go" He runs away.

"I wanted to talk to you, but I guess there's nothing to talk about" I said with no expression.

"What is up with you Lucas?" She said, completely clueless.

"Nothing at all. What's going on between you and Josh?" I asked her in a jealousy tone.

She rolled her eyes in response "We're friends"

"It looks like you're not just friend" I said while crossing my arms.

"Are you jealous?" She said, smirking at me.

"no"

"You are" She chuckled.

"You like it?" I give her a death glare and walked closer to her.

"What's your problem Lucas?" She shrugs acting completely clueless.

"You know what my problem is" I said to her but she just looked at me confused.

"What are you talking about?" she asked me, confusedly.

"Just forget it" I said. Just when I wanted to walk off she quickly grab my wrist.

"Please tell me what's wrong" She said and I saw tear fell down her cheeks.

"I said forget it!" I yelled at her making her startled.

"Well if that's what you want. So from now on we pretend that we don't even know each other. We're strangers. Goodbye." She say on the verge of the tears before walking away.

Should I ran after her? Fuck it! I need her!

"Maya wait" I called her and ran after her.

Maya's pov:

"Maya wait up!" Lucas keep chasing me, but I just ignore it and keep walking faster.

"Maya, wait, listen to me"

"There's no need for us to talk" I say in a whisper while looking at the ground.

"Why do you have to run away like that?" He asked me softly.

"Because I don't want you to see me like this" I stay silent for a second. "I understand that you hate me-"

"I don't hate you Maya, I could never hate you" He cuts me off. "But I don't think I could trust you again, after seeing that picture of you and Farkle"

"I was wrong, but you should know that I didn't kiss him. I would never do anything like that. I'm sorry. Hopefully the love you had for me will help you to forgive me" I said, hoping that he'll forgive me.

He took a deep breath and say "I came here to ask you why you did that. Why did you kiss-"

"I told you I didn't do that Lucas. He kissed me" I tell him again.

"Okay. That's all I needed. But I think you're lying" He said and the walks away.

"I can't believe you didn't trust me!" I shouts with a crack in my voice. He stops and walked back to me.

"I did trust you, but it turns out that you were cheating on me with my best friend!"

"Why do you keep saying that?! I didn't cheated, he's the one who kissed-"

"You know what? I don't care. I don't care if he kissed you or whatever! I'm done. I'm done with you, I'm done with us, I'm done with whatever this is! You can go back to Farkle now. At least you love him right" He said as he walks away.

I stand there watching walks away. And I guess that's the end of me and him. It's really over.
