Behzerk pt. 1

JOSH;

"Simon, stop!" I groaned as he shoved me into a bush, again. I brushed the leaves off as I struggled to get up.

A hand extended out in front of me and I looked up, realising it was attached to Ethan. I blushed bright red, taking it as he gently hauled me from the greenery.

"Thanks." I hid my face best I could, pretending to brush myself down as he chuckled.

"That's alright. Hey, where did Simon go, I wonder?" He put on an act, pretending to be confused as I sighed.

"Simon, don-" I was cut off as Simon jumped on my back, wrapping his hands over my eyes.

"Josh, Josh, watch out! Oh god, you're gonna walk into a pole. Oh, shit! Go, go go!" It's safe to say he was more than tipsy as he tried controlling where I walked and I wriggled, trying to find my car keys at the same time. I groaned again as I heard Manny, Tobi and Jide laughing behind us.

We had decided to go out for a few drinks and it was currently about 1am and I was the only sober one, seeing as I had to drive them home. Behind us was a complete scene. Tobi and Jide making out (we all called it) and Manny clinging onto Simon, trying to keep the attention on him.

It was no secret they were dating, even thought they both still thought no one else knew, just like it was obviously no secret I liked Ethan. Except it seemed like everyone but Ethan knew as he always acted normal. He never acted as if he knew, unless he did and he just didn't find it awkward, because he just acted like he did with everyone else. He joked around and sometimes I felt like he acted a little bit distant with me and it scared me because I thought he knew and didn't let me know, but then I realised he would tell me if he did know.

"C'mon, Si. Manny, get him in the car. Get the others as well, Josh come here. Your keys are in your shirt pocket, here." I felt his hand slip in the pocket on my button up shirt and I squirmed as his finger brushed my nipple.

"No, no it's fine. I got it." I felt Simon being tugged off of my back and I took my hands away from his thighs to grab the keys from my pocket. I unlocked the car and everyone piled in. Manny decided to seat himself on Simon as there was one too many people. "Seatbelts?" A chorus of 'yeah's were called out and I nodded, starting the car and making the short way home.

-

"Fuck me. Bollocks!" I turned to see Ethan stood before me. I blushed immediately as I was just in my boxers. I hadn't expected any of them to be up so early, but I remembered Ethan was barely even tipsy. "Josh." Ethan dragged my name out and I hummed, too concentrated on sitting at the table. I was glad Ethan didn't permanently live with us, but he was staying with us until his apartment was completed, not that I was complaining but I was still embarrassed to be around him half naked. "My head hurts. I didn't even drink that much." He moaned and I rolled my eyes.

"Paracetamol is over there, drink water with it." I told him and he sighed, sitting down next to me.

"Later," I nodded, fidgeting as his leg brushed against mine. "I kinda need to talk to you." I felt my stomach drop and nodded, worrying already.

"What about?" I asked, trying not to sound nervous but I could tell he knew.

"I like you." I almost choked, but I jumped when two hands wrapped around me.

"Joshy! I told you not to get drunk, Jesus!" I frowned, confused. I looked at Ethan and he looked pissed so I turned to see who was touching my bare skin.

"Eva? Why are you here at eight in the morning?" I sighed. She was a friend of ours and I knew she liked me. Like, really liked me. She also seemed to have the idea in her head that I liked her back too, probably why she was here, touching me.

From the look on Ethan's face, he seemed to think I liked her back too as he was glaring at her and looking disappointed.

"I wanted to come and see you. We missed each other so much, Joshy!" I chuckled awkwardly as Ethan stood up, clearing his throat. He grabbed the pain killers and a glass of water and started to leave the room.

"Ethan, wait!" He turned and faced me, looking anywhere but my eyes. "I'll be up in a minute, yeah?" I casted my eyes towards to the spare room he was staying in and grinned very slightly at him. He looked happier once I'd said this and nodded, leaving. I turned to Eva.

"Look, Eva. I think you should go and come back another time. Everyone here has a hangover and they won't be happy if you're here and they're just trying to relax. I'm sorry to push you away but I think it's for the better." I looked at her and she didn't seem any sadder, which relieved me. She just nodded happily and turned around.

"Okay, Joshy! I'll come back tonight." I was horrified when she sent me a cheeky wink and pranced away. I winced, hoping Ethan didn't hear any of that.

I quickly made my way up the stairs and into the room he should be in. As soon as I caught sight of him stood in front of his dresser, I decided I couldn't help myself and strode over. He was already looking at me so I didn't have to do anything but press my lips to his.

He stumbled back, gripping his hands the side of his dresser and I placed my hands on his cheeks as he kissed back gladly, pulling him ever closer to me. I savoured the taste of toothpaste, but there was a hint of taste that could only link back to the gorgeous form in front of me. Eventually I pulled back, trying to catch my breath as my hands were still attached to his face.

"I like you too." He chuckled, pressing his forehead to mine. "Ethan," I breathed heavily. He hummed, waiting for me to carry on. He had a glow in his eyes, I noticed and I grinned, realising how happy this had made me. "Will you go out with me? I understand it's early but I've waited for so long." I told him quietly and he seemed to let the words process before nodding, chuckling again.

"Yeah. I will. Honestly, I've liked you for a while, I'm just glad that didn't backfire. It turned out better than I expected." He explained and I raised an eyebrow. "But... what about Eva? Should we wait before telling her or should we just carry on as usual? She seems to have the idea you're her boyfriend or something. Or she's just really hopeful." We both laughed as I thought it over.

"Well, she's coming over later. Maybe we could just like, kiss or something in front of her?" He nodded, sighing. "What?" I asked, worried he was still upset with her.

"Nothing, I'm just happy." He smiled up at me as I pressed another kiss to his lips.
