Meeting the Avengers

Will's POV

I look up in awe at the huge tower, which I instantly recognised as Stark Tower. We headed up to the doors and walked to a private looking elevator, which Thor took out an ID card and scanned it to make the doors open. We got to the 87th floor and the doors opened.

I could see that Nico was shaking from what seemed like fear. I wondered why an elevator would make him scared, but then I remembered that an elevator was the only exit out of Tartarus, and Nico would have gone on it when he had been captured.

I took his hand reassuringly, and we stepped out into a very modern kitchen. There was a bunch of adults around the place, doing their own thing.

There was a shortish man with a blue top stained slightly with machine grease, and a strange goatee tinkering with something at the table. I recognised the man as the famous billionaire Tony Stark. There was a man with curly brown hair reading a book comfortably on a couch, who I didn't recognise. Next, to him, there was another man with a sharp face, polishing an arrow. he must be the famous marksman, Hawkeye. In the kitchen, there was a muscular man with hort, military cut blonde hair in a tight-fitting green shirt. His face seemed kind but his eyes were hard. He must have been Captain America, and the only one to know we were here. In the corner, there was a red-headed woman, who was reading something on a hologram, so engaged with the picture that she didn't see us enter.

"Welcome back, Thor. Who are these two?"

Nico let go of my hand, and ran up to the redhead, and started shouting at her. she looked up, and her eyes narrowed in... fury?

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Nico yelled.

"HOW DID YOU GET AWAY?" She screamed back.

"MAGIC."

"YOU BETTER GIVE ME STRAIGHT ANSWERS!"

"YOU TRIED TO SHOOT ME!"

"WHY DIDN'T THE SHOT WORK? YOU HAD NOTHING TO STOP IT, BUT IT DIDN'T PEARCE YOUR SKIN!"

I ran towards Nico, pulling him away from the angry lady. Captain America did the same for the redhead.

"Woah, Nico, calm down."

"Natasha, what the hell? He's just a kid!"

The two were still glaring daggers at each other, neither backing down.

"Argentina." She muttered.

I turned to my boyfriend. "So THAT'S what happened in Argentina?"

He nodded.

"Wait, what happened in Argentina?" Stark had looked up with the commotion, looking curious but a bit annoyed. "Don't do a Budapest on me again, Nat."

I took my boyfriend's hand and held it hard. "Hello, I'm Will Angelo-Solace, and this is my husband, Nico."

The others looked a bit surprised at the fact that we were married, or that we were gay (they were both 'scandalous' so same difference to me). But I must say Captain America looked the most surprised.

"You're married? How old are you, 16? 17?" I appreciated the fact that he didn't bring up the fact that we were gay. I really don't have time for homophobes. (#willdon'thavetimeforyourshit)

"We may not have much time together." Nico answers.

"Why-" Captain starts.

"Sorry to interrupt you Capsicle, but can I ask why two teenagers are in my tower?" Stark asks, turning to Thor.

Thor gives a small smile. "Well, I was saying about getting reinforcements for battle-"

"What?"

"No way! They're just kids!"

"They are more than capable. They have achieved greater things than all of u-" Thor tried again.

"They are kids! How could they have achieved more than us? We've been in a F*** battle for god's sake!" Stark protested.

"One battle?" Nico asked surprised.

"And you've done more, have you?" Tony replied sarcastically.

"Three major wars (I'm counting the fight at Hogwarts as one), and countless battles, some major, some more minor." That struck the billionaire speechless.

"What?" Captain America muttered.

Hawkeye sighed, slightly impressed. "Where do you get these people from, Thor?"

"Camp," Thor replied, not realising this was a rhetorical question.

"Camp?" Stark replied. "Actually, I don't want to know. Can you guys fight that fire guy? Cos we couldn't even lay a dent in him."

The team grimaced, remembering the embarrassing battle where they lost, terribly.

I looked into Nico's eyes, which had shown his soul; smashed, but almost completely fixed. Finally.

"Yes, we can fight," I reply.
