He was staring over the transparent glass wall overlooking the majestic city of Seoul and the ever-flowing Han river inside his office. After scoring two major business deals overseas, today has been an exhausting day for him to say the least. It been almost four years when he gave up his modelling career to take over and be a part of his family's growing business.

Heaving a sigh of relief as he calls it a day, the 28 year old Jeon Jungkook has been through a series of ups and downs.

The transition had been rough at first, with all those ambiguous stares he got from his officemates from the moment he'd step foot into his company, the pressure began to raise its bars because a lot of people were expecting that he'll turn out to be successful like his parents. As expected of the Jeon heir, all the years of perseverance and hard work came into fruition. He now maintained his position as the COO of Jeon Conglomerates. He now then glances at the newly signed business deals he had acquired a while ago. One was a merger between a large distribution company in Malaysia and the other was a partnership of a newly developed tech concept with his allies from Japan.

'A glass of whiskey would be nice.' he softly mutters as he sat comfortably on his office chair. He matured nonetheless. Jeon Jungkook definitely looks more dignified than the way he was before.

The man was clad in his Armani suit for Pete's sakes. And not everyone can pull a business suit like Jeon Jungkook who's still as charming as he was back from his modelling days.

Seeing his reflection on the glass wall he couldn't help but be proud on how powerful he is right now. 'Look at what you've become now, Jeon Jungkook. You can have all the things you want. You're now at the top of the pedestal.'

He recalled all the memories of his efforts from the start. All the confusion, heartbreak and longing. How he managed to search every piece of land in South Korea to search for his beloved only to find no luck. For so many years of longing he decided to give up his search for Taehyung for a while and focus on his career as the heir of his family's legacy. It was very hard for him to climb up to where he is right now. Giving up his profession as a famous model only to become one of the most 'boring' profession in the world like Taehyung used to say is an exaggeration for you are carrying bigger responsibilities involving so many lives and money at stake. Because right now the company rests upon his shoulders.

A ring on his office phone alerted him to snap back to reality.

"Mr. Jeon, your cousin Mr, Jung wants to talk to you. I told him you're still busy but he insisted..." the young secretary, Halla informed him on the line

"Connect me to his line. Thanks." he answered shortly

Jung Hoseok was his closest friend and cousin. After he gives up his succession as the eldest in their family, he proceeds to achieve his dream and is now a biology professor at Daegu University. He was married before but due to their irreconcilable differences, he and his partner officially broke off their marriage leaving his only daughter in his custody.

A sharp inhale was heard on the line. He could tell his hyung must've felt uneasy to leave his daughter behind without a care of a proper guardian.

"Jungkook, I need you to watch over my little girl." he said

"Who? Hani?"

"Like who else? Yeah. My sweet cheeks. Just for a few days. I'll be out to join a scientific convention that'll probably last for a week or so. I was asked to present my study about mosses and their contribution to reduce greenhouse gas. Finally, my works are getting noticed Jungkook-ah!." Hoseok cheerfully said

Heaving a sigh, he muttered "What about your ex-wife?"

"She's currently out-of-town. Only God knows where that woman is right now. My baby has an upcoming parent's day next week and I'm afraid I won't be able to be with my little angel."

Hoseok has proven his point. After their separation and giving his portion of alimony to the woman, she quickly left their house and was nowhere to be found. The night after the separation, he found his daughter crying heavily because she misses her mom who just left without any other contact.

The story of his hyung's single-fatherhood ignited the spark within him to take care of his little nephew. He doesn't know why but he treats Hani like his own daughter especially whenever they visit him during Christmas and other holidays in Seoul.

"Where?" Jungkook said on the line as he carefully arranges his things in order before he leaves his office

"Here. In Daegu. You know how to get here right?" he inquisitively asks Jungkook

"You're lucky I requested a few weeks off ahead of time."
