Chapter 20

Normal POV:

Ecca and Houaida fall on the grassy floor when Goku lets go. He used instant transmission to save the two girls back in universe 6.

"Sorry!" He laughs when he realizes he accidentally drop the girls.

"That's nothing. And thanks for saving us back there." Ecca replies giggling. Goku rubs the back of his neck and chuckles.

"Is everyone here?" Whis asks, walking to them. Vegeta, future Trunks, Hit, Cabba and the others are behind him.

"Yeah, I suppose that's all of us." Goku nods. "Well then, follow me. "Whis smiles and leads them into Beerus's palace in the planet.

And to Ecca's surprise, she can see sone familiar faces there. "Hearts!" She exclaims happily. Hearts turns around and meets her eyes. A smirk on his face.

Zamasu is also there. But he simply glares at her. But his mind is actually a mess when he sees her. He tries not to show these messy thought on his face.

"Zamasu?!" Goku and Vegeta shout when they see Zamasu sitting there. Whis stops them.

"Calm down please. They will be our allies for now," Whis sighs, "Now, would you bother to introduce yourselves first?"

Hearts nods woth his usual smirk, "Hello everyone, my name is Hearts. I was about to start a plan to free all mortals but those demons interrupted it. So I decided to work with you." He stands up and bow to them while introducing himself.

"He's such gentlemen..." Houaida whispers to Ecca in her ear.

"He is a gentleman." Ecca whispers back, rolling her eyes.

"Those demons..." Whisvstarts leading the discussion, "we still don't know who's behind them."

"The Evil Doer..." Ecca says, her lops are stumbling, "he's the one who is behind the Demon Gods..."

"The Evil Doer...?" Sounds of mumbles begin to speard around the fighters.

"Ah! I remember that thing! During the Tournament of Power, the God of Destruction in universe 11 told us that Jiren's master, friends and family were all killed by him!" Goku tip his head and says.

Ecca is shocked when she hears that. This reminds her of her race's genocide and the dead bodies of her kind. Her mind ia filled with fear. Fear the terrifying power of the Evil Doer. Twice, she was nearly killed by him twice...

A warm, big hand puts on her left shoulder. She looks up and finds Hearts by her sode. He smiles and make a "don't worry, I'm here" face to her. She takes a deep breath and calms down, then smiles to him.

"Oh...?" Whis smiles to Ecca, "are you very sure that it is the Evil Doer?"

"I am." Ecca nods firmly, "once, I was nearly killed by the Evil Doer himself. I would never forget his horrible power and emotionless voice in my entire life..." she mumbles.

They gasps, look at Ecca immediately. Even Hearts and Zamasu never heard of such story. Although Hearts has once took a peek about her past, but she holds it in herself so deep that he can't see more about it. Hearts looks at her with a surprised look. She puts her hand on his to tell him not to worry.

"So... we can confirm that it is really the Evil Doer." Whis says calmly. All of them nod.

"Well then, I should report this to Dashinka-sama immediately," he says, "this is a very serious situation. And we don't know when will they come again. So I suggest you to stay and train for later fights..."

"Five months." Hearts cuts him off, "They'll come back five months later. I am capable of mind reading. When I was battling with them, I can tell that they are preparing for a big war. And they need five months for preparation." He adds.

"Five months... slower than expected..." Ecca tip her chin with her index finger.

"But not much time as we think we have." Houaida says. Ecca sighs and nods to agree.

"But enough time for us to prepare for this fight." Whis smiles, "Hearts-san, mind if we take Ecca with us for training?"

Ecca looks at Hearts with a look of a bit unwilling to leave his side. "You don't want to leave me?" Hearts reads her mind and smirks. She blushes slightly and nods. "But for everyone here, I can stay." She adds.

"Well, fine by me then." Hearts turns to Whis and smiles. Whis smiles, too. But no one notices a sad and angry grin on Zamasu's face.

"Very well then." Whis says, "Cabba-san, Caulifla-san, Kale-san and Hit-san, I suppose you don't have anywhere to go. So you're staying here for training too, right?"

They nod. Houaida seems very happy about this. Ecca, too, is happy that more friends are staying. The more the merrier!

"And we will not stay, by the way," Hearts states, Zamasu nods too. After all, they are just allies for now.

"I see. We will meet five months later, then." Whis smiles, "you can contact me whenever you have more information."

"Hea, sure!" Hearts smirks, "Zamasu, let's go!" He says, walking towards the door.

"Don't order me around, moral!" Zamasu says coldly. But still stands up and follows him.

"Oh, Ecca-san, there's someone you should see. She's outside. Please follow me." Whis suddenly thinks of someone, he says and leads Ecca outside.

Ecca nods and follows Whis outside. Then, she sees a short, pink haired girl standing there.

"Chronoa!!!" Eccaa is so surprised. Chronoa seems to notice her too. Her face is fill with sorry, happiness, anger, sadness, excitement...

"I'm sorry, I'm sooooo sorry!!" She rushes to her and hugs her immediately. She misses the kai very much even though she left her before.

"I'm the one who needs to say sorry..." Chronoa shakes her head, "I shouldn't have said that. You're the one whom to decide your path. You should do this. You should finish your destiny..."

Ecca nods slightly. All the shame makes her mind messy. "I shouldn't go out like that... I'm sorry..."

"It's ok... I've seen all the things you've done. You've really grown up!" Chronoa pats her head gently, smiling.

As she touches her head, shs feels a strong power releasing from her body. A shadow of sliver light even escape from her hands to her breast.

"Chronoa...? What's that?!" Ecca asks in panic. The power is growing stronger and stronger, but she can easily merge and control it.

"This is your true power. I've locked it up deep inside you when you are little because I am afraid you might lost your control with this such massive amount of demon power in you. But it seems that you need it now, and I'm sure you can make good use of it!" She giggles, "Now, I, as the Supreme Kai of Time, formally cancel your identity as a time patroller. But you are still welcome in the time nest and Conton City!"

"Thanks Chronoa..." she hugs the kai tightly, she chuckles and hugs her back. "I won't let you down!" She holds a fist when she says that.

"I believe you won't." Chronoa smiles.

~Time Skip~

Ecca greets goodbye to Chronoa before she leaves. She is about to go back to her friends. But a voice stops her.

"Ecca." The voice says coldly. She turns around and sees Zamasu standing there.

"Zamasu? I thought you went back with Hearts already..." Ecca looks at him with a surprised look. He shakes his head.

"Are you really going to stay?" He turns his head away, not looking at her. Every time he looks at her, his heart sudden starts beating fast and he doesn't know why.

"Of course. Although I still don't really like angels, they are truly very strong creatures. I must do more training with them to beat the Evil Doer!" She replies surely. Zamasu's heart falls.

"You shouldn't. Follow me back." He says in a cold and firm tone.

"Wait, wh--" she doesn't even have time to ask what's going on with him, he pulls her out of the palace.

Finally, they stop outside. "What's wrong with you?! You know I want to stay, right?" Ecca rolls her eyes and asks.

"You must obey a god, mortal." Zamasu smirks, "I order you to come back and stay with me."

"Zamasu, what's the problem with you? You're acting so weird..." Ecca stares at him. He avoids her eye contact because he feels a bit nervous and shy when he looks at her.

"None of your business." He mumbles, turns his head away from her.

*Impossible... only mortals fall in love... this foolish feeling will not appear on a perfect immortal like me! * He bites his lower lip. He doesn't want to deny this feeling of his towards the pretty demon in front of him.

"Weird and unreasonable!" Ecca sighs and turn around, ready to go back and ignore immortal in front of her.

At that moment, she feels a strong arms pulls her into a muscular chest. She is so shocked that she doesn't even know what's happening. Zamasu has already lower a bit of his head by her wars. She can feel the god's heat of his breathe.

Zamasu pulls Eccaa in his arms.

The warmth of his body makes her cheeks flush red. The both of them remain silenced, but they don't need to speak in this moment. Maybe silence is the best thing to express their feelings at that moment.

"Don't go, I need you..." Zamasu finally whispers in her ears, breaking this silence between them. Ecca blushes even more. *What's wrong with him? He... is acting very weird... *

'"Zamasu??" Ecca says as she finds herself giving up struggling to get away from his arms, "what are you trying to say to me...?"

Zamasu stops his words. He still feels ashame of saying these words to a mortal.

*How can I say these? She's only a demon, a normal human! * He shakes his head, confused with his feelings, *but this is my only chance to say that to her. I will be rest assured after then... *

After a few moments of struggling in his mind, he takes a deep breathe, still holding Ecca in his arms. He lower his head and whispers in her ears, "I'm only telling you once more, mortal, so listen up and listen well..." he says in a cold but soft voice, "You'll stay, with me."

Not waiting for Ecca to respond, he cut her off with a kiss on her lips. The kiss is so tender and his lips are so soft. Ecca knows what she is doing is wrong would make Hearts upset, but she can't escape. The immortal grabs her waist so tightly.

Finally, she gives up and she finds herself also doesn't want this to stop. Her mind yells loudly to herself to stop but her body takes control of it. She just can't help but to keep staying in the immortal's arms and keep kissing with him.

This is the first time ever for Zamasu to kiss someone. And he is kissing the girl he loves in his heart. He feels nervous and happy at the same time.

*So... this is how it feels to kiss this girl in front of me...? I can't believe I've really done it but it's not vad after all...* Zamasu thinks as he slowly pulls away from her cheeks. They are both blushing messily. It's not very easy to see Zamasu blush, when Ecca sees it, she can't help giggling.

"What are you laughing at, mortal?!" Zamasu blush even more and asks coldly, "I'm telling you, I don't  adore you are something. I just feel it I'm doing this, that's all." He Tries his best to make an angry grin but he can't because Ecca is making him smile.

"Not something in particular. Just because you're so cute when you blush..." Ecca chuckles.

"Hpm..." Zamasu smirks, pull her closer to him.

But Ecca then sighs. "But Zamasu, I can't be with you..." she shakes her head, "I need to stay here for traning. I need to defeat the Evil Doer. And I need to do it through training."

"What...?" Zamasu stops, his eyes is filled with anger. Ecca keeps saying sorry to him. She knows she shoukd be that close to him since she is with Hearts, but she still can't help getting close to him. Maybe because deep in her, he is a special existence...

"Ecca! It's time for training!" Houaida's voice yells from another side of the planet. Ecca tells her that she will be there in a minute and then greets Zamasu goodbye with sorry in her eyes.

Zamasu looks at her when she runs away. He is filled with sadness and jealousy. *How dare her... she's just a mortal and nothing more! And why?! Why Hearts can always have her amd spend time with her?! That filthy mortal... don't even think to get Ecca from me! She is the most special mortal to me, and no one can take her away from me!*  Zamasu yells in his mind when he remembers Ecca and Hearts being close.

"No, it doesn't matter anymore. But I know you'll one day understand I am the one you need..." he mumbles, smirking.
