8: Group Study

A Month Later..

Their first exam week is coming closer and the group has aimed to get high marks for the term. The group is currently inside the library studying for their upcoming exams.

"Ughh I'm so hungry, can we go eat something?"

Jungwoon complained.

"Yah, you barely even read anything from that page but now you're already complaining."

Sanghyuk whispered.

"We can eat after we finish reading this, right?"

Yujin asked.

Sunghoon nodded, before going back to reading.

"Guys, if you have trouble understanding a certain topic or concept you can ask me or Sanghyul. We'll explain it to you in much easier way, right Sanghyuk?"

Wonyoung said.

Sanghyuk nodded as response, all of them continued reading. Making sure to familiarize and interpret the concepts that were written on the book. Not long after, Yujin called Sanghyuk.

"Hyuk, I have a question."

Yujin called.

"What is it?"

Sanghyuk then went over to her side and started explaining the part where Yujin had a hard time understanding. While the two are focused on it, two pairs of eyes where looking at them. Jungwoon was looking at them, his eyes were shooting lasers at Sanghyuk making sure that he's only there to teach her.

"You're too obvious."

Jungwoon heard someone said.

He turned towards his side and saw Sunghoon making signals. He raised his eyebrows, pretending he doesn't know what he's talking about.

"Don't give me that look, she'll be able to tell if you're making it obvious. And plus, Wonyoung is also here and she's also her friend."

Sunghoon whispered.

The two then looked at Wonyoung who was reading peacefully. Feeling that someone is looking at her, she looked up catching the two looking. She raised her eyebrows, wanting to know what's up.

"Jungwoon is asking for help on something, and he doesn't trust me on my take."

Jungwoon's eyes widened, hearing his friend's alibi. He was about to contest but Wonyoung was quick enough to go there and take a look on what was going on.

"Hyuk, I know you like her but please focus on me first."

Sanghyuk looked at Yujin who was teasing him with her smiles.

"Sorry."

He muttered before going back to explaining her the lesson.

After their session finished, Sanghyuk popped into his head what Yujin said earlier.

"How did you know I like her? Was I that obvious?"

He whispered.

"No don't worry you're not making it obvious, it's just that I am very observant."

Yujin grinned.

"Don't tell her."

Sanghyuk said.

"Was this the reason why you invited us to be in this friend group?"

Sanghyuk was expecting this question once someone finds out.

"No, not entirely. I was just saddened by the fact that you two are being isolated in our class."

He replied calmly.

"What if, Wonyoung does not reciprocate your feelings for you. What are you going to do then? Are you going to abandon or leave our friend group?"

Yujin surprised him with another question and this time, it caught him of guard. This made him pause to analyse the situation and think for realistic and probable answer.

"Well, I don't think I will leave just because of that. I will stay, because being friends with her will be enough."

Sanghyuk replied.

"Anymore questions miss judge?"

Sanghyuk chuckled.

Yujin shook her head as a response, then Sanghyuk left and it went back to his seat.

Just then, Wonyoung approached her friend and seemed curious of what the two had been talking about.

"So, what is it that you called Sanghyuk instead of me?"

Wonyoung asked.

"Oh it was this."

Yujin said pointing on a chapter on the book.

"You could've called me, I was nearer."

"Why, are you jealous?"

Yujin teased.

"Are you out of your mind?"

Wonyoung left her friend and went back to studying.

. . . .

The Jungwoon, Sunghoon and Yujin left the library to eat some snacks as promised while Wonyoung and Sanghyuk left behind.

"You've been staring me for a long time, what do you want?"

Wonyoung said, whil her face is still on the book.

"Fine, I am just curious."

Sanghyuk chuckled.

"About what?"

"How did you and Yujin meet again? You haven't told us that yet."

Sanghyuk asked

"Ohh, you're right we haven't yet."

Wonyoung then drops her book and started talking.

"We actually met in an event, it was five years ago if I remember correctly. My family went to this party with their business partners. I felt bored and left the main hall after I asking for permission."

"I went and explored around the area and bumped into Yujin who I thought that time that hates the party like me so I approached her and started talking."

Wonyoung said.

"So basically, you met in a normal way except you two were bored in a party?"

Sanghyuk summarized.

"Yup."

Wonyoung nodded.

"You could've just said it that way, I was expecting for a funny or a unique way of you two meeting up."

Sanghyuk chuckled.

"So you're saying that it was boring?"

Sanghyuk nodded without hesitation earning a flying book from her.

"Ouch!"

"I hate you."

"I was joking."

Sanghyuk tried his best to contain his laughter as they might get ousted by the librarian because of noise.

"Don't talk to me."

Wonyoung mouthed before she proceeds ignoring him.

Even until their other friends arrived, Wonyoung did not glance once a him.

"What happened here? For the thirty minutes that we left you guys haven't moved a muscle?"

Yujin asked as she sat in her seat.

She glanced at Wonyoung who's wearing her earphones then to Sanghyul who was hiding his smile.

"I sensed that someone triggered the quick-tempered girl beside me."

Yujin giggled.

"I didn't know she's that quick to get angry after being teased."

Sanghyuk said.

"She really is, based on my experience. But don't worry, anything that she had said to you earlier won't last a day. She will be the one who will be nullifying it."

Yujin chuckled.
