"Sasuke's coming back to the village."

Sakura felt her heart fluttered in excitement as she heard those words. Finally, after two long years of being away from the village to find redemption, Sasuke's finally coming back home.

Home.

But where is his home?

"Naruto, thank you for inviting me here but I've got some errands to do. Ja ne!" Sakura placed a few bucks in the table for the two of them. She knew Naruto didn't brought money, as always.

Naruto just smiled sheepishly and watched the pinkette's back as she walk away. His eyes soften, "Finally, you will get the happiness you deserved Sakura-chan." The blonde looked up in the blue sky filled with clouds, "You better take care of her teme." He murmured.

Sakura was walking on the road while staring at the starry night sky. She had finished her shift a bit late in the hospital. She smiled as she saw families and children walking in the streets of Konohagakure.

She often pondered if she could find someone to spend her life with. To had kids, and to build a family. To have someone to grow old with.

But she knew there was someone in her mind as she thought of the possibility to be married.

She knew that deep down in her heart, Sasuke still owned that place. The spot where the person that she loves reside.

After so many years of being away from him and always crying because of him. He even got to the point that he tried to kill her. But she still love him.

But isn't that what love is? Forgiving them no matter what they had done wrong to you? Loving them completely? Accepting their flaws because we were all humans?

Sakura shook her head and smiled gently. She still hasn't seen him in Konoha this week and she doubted she would. Who is she that he would come and see her first? Surely he had something important to do other than to meet her.

Naruto and Hinata's marriage had occured a few weeks ago and she wished them the best. Sakura knew Hinata was the best person that fitted her knucklehead friend.

She was just a bit sad because she had no partner or someone that accompanied her. The fact that the wedding happened in the week of her birthday didn't help much at all.

Much to her surprise, Sasuke sent her a letter through his hawk.

'CONGRATULATIONS.'

Even if it's just one word, Sakura could feel her heart being filled with so much happiness that he remembered that in that week was where her birthday resides and he also remembered to congratulate her in her accomplishment in being the president of the hospital.

Sakura sighed as her apartment came into view. She fished out the keys from her pocket and opened the door slowly.

"Sakura."

She halted from taking off her shoes and looked up to the person who said her name.

And there he was, standing and staring at her intently with a gaze so smouldering. Sakura could feel her heartbeat's pace quickens and tears welled up in her emerald eyes.

"Sakura, I'm back."

Sakura smiled at him gently.

"Welcome home, Sasuke-kun."
