Aidan's POV

When we got close to New York, I could see the building where the team was based, I pointed at it and Marius landed close to it, I woke everyone up and slid the door open, when I hopped out a few of the guys walked out.

Aidan: "Don't shoot!"

Johnny: "Wait, Aidan?"

Aidan: "Yeah, I'm here to retake my post."

Johnny: "Thank God, Johns's leadership has been a complete disaster."

When he said that the speakers turned on grabbing all of our attention.

John: "Now come on Johhny, that's a bit rude."

Johnny: "It's true! We lost so many on our last job!"

Aidan: "John, listen, either we could do this peacefully, and you surrender your post to me, or we do this the hard way, and all of your lackeys die, what will it be?"

John: "Sorry Aidan, but I can't let you out of here alive, open fire!"

The windows were opened and the front doors had barricades moved in front of them for cover. My team took cover behind the heli while I walked toward the front door, my armor taking their hail of fire, I kicked the barricades away and grabbed one of them by the neck. The other tried to punch me but I kicked his leg out and knocked him out.

Cole: "Wait!"

Aidan: "Cole?"

I dropped him and let him catch his breath.

Aidan: "Talk."

Cole: "Let me rally the guys, we've been waiting for you to return."

Aidan: "Yeah, and if any loyalist resists, shoot them, time is of the essence here."

Cole: "Yes sir!"

He saluted me and ran toward where the rest of the men were waiting, the rest of my team walked in, I guessed they took out those loyalist.

Johnny: "What's the plan boss?"

Aidan: "I'm going to take out John, you guys deal with the loyalist."

Eliza: "I'm coming with you."

Aidan: "Fine, Timur you stay out and take out anyone trying to leave, everyone else you go with Johnny and rally the men."

Everyone nodded and followed Johnny into the barracks while me and Eliza took out the loyalist guarding John, when we reached the command room I kicked the door down and John looked at me, realizing resistance was useless, I pushed him against the wall and punched him in the stomach.

Aidan: "Should have surrendered while you still could."

John: "We don't surrender Aidan, either we die fighting, or die useless."

He took out his knife and hurled it at Eliza, but before the knife could reach her I grabbed it and stabbed it into his throat. He seemed so surprised it was almost amusing, he smeared some of his blood on my armor but after a while he finally died and slid to the floor, I left the knife in and went over to the intercom.

Aidan: "Attention, this Aidan, I have assumed my rightful place as leader, any resistance will be met with death."

I shut it off and removed my helmet.

Eliza: "Thanks for sparing me a knife wound."

Aidan: "Don't mention it, soon we can destroy the White Mask, with Nighthaven and my mercs their destruction is guaranteed."

Eliza: "I hope so, the sooner we end this, the sooner we can go on that date."

Aidan: "Start thinking of a good place, the end is drawing near, I can feel it."

Eliza: "We should go check on everyone else."

Aidan: "Good idea."

I grabbed my helmet and walked toward the barracks. When we got there a group of my guys were tied up.

Johnny: "What do we do with them boss?"

I looked at Shurat, who looked at me in return.

Aidan: "Shurat, you know what to do."

He chuckled and took out a cluster charge, he walked toward the guys who started screaming. We walked out of the base with my men and Shurat followed behind us, he detonated his cluster charge which, to my surprise destroyed most of the building.

Aidan: "Shurat what did you pack in those explosives?"

Shurat: "That's a secret."

Aidan: "Well, save the rest for the White Mask."

He nodded and my team hopped into the heli while my men loaded into a few helis, we took off toward Rainbow HQ.

Your POV

You finished reading the file that Harry gave you, and you had to admit, their defenses were no joke and they had those unmanned tanks guarding the front, which gave Aidan and Kali the perfect opportunity to take them from behind.

Samara: "Strategising?"

You looked up at her and smiled.

You: "Yeah, we can distract their front defenses while Aidan and Kali come in from behind, once they take out the chain of command they can help us take out the rest of the men, that should be the end of the White Mask."

She looked at you wide-eyed and smiled.

Samara: "When did you get so smart?"

You got that playful insult but said nothing about it.

You: "I'm serious now, nuclear launch codes Sam, we can't fail now."

She sighed and sat by you.

Samara: "Come on, loosen up, we attack in 2 days, until then we can relax and prepare for it."

You put your arm around her and pulled her closer.

You: "Maybe you're right, it's just that I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Samara: "I do too, and honestly, I'm scared, but I know we will win, we have too."

You: "Well, what do you think about our future?"

Samara: "Oh yeah, about the future."

You: "What about it?"

Samara: "I have to tell you something."

Your heart skipped a beat, for some reason you started to get nervous.

You: "Yeah...go on."

Samara: "I'm pregnant."

What happened next seemed fuzzy, because the next thing you knew you woke up on the ground with Samara looking down at you.

Samara: "Y/N are you okay?!"

You sat up and grabbed the back of your head.

You: "Did I just faint?"

Samara: "Yeah, I should have sugar-coated it."

You stood up and looked into her eyes.

You: "How long?"

Samara: "A week now."

You: "Now I don't want you to go into the field."

Samara: "Look, I know that you want me to stay out of this because of our child, and trust me I would love nothing more than to give birth to a healthy child, but I can't stand by while all of you go put your lives on the lines."

You: "Sam, I just the best for you, and now that your pregnant I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to you."

Samara: "Y/N, I'm only a week pregnant,  I'll be fine."

You sat down again and covered your face with your hands. She sat next to you and started cuddling with you.

Samara: "It will be alright, but now would be a good time to discuss things."

You: "Thought of any names?"

Samara: "Yeah, if it's a boy, I'm thinking Jayden, and for a girl, Camila."

You: "I like Camila, and Jayden's a good name."

Samara: "What are you hoping for?"

You: "A daughter."

Samara: "Me too, let's hope we get lucky."

You: "We've been lucky since the day we met, I think we're good."

Samara's phone went off, when she checked it she sat up straight and looked at you.

Samara: "Aidan has seized control of his mercs."

You: "What happens now?"

Samara: "Phase 2."
