Chaehyun was walking to school with her new friends, Yujin and Mashiro. Yujin and Mashiro saw Chaehyun walking alone so they decided they should join and know her a bit better.

"Why are you not talking with your other friends anymore?" Mashiro asks, making Yujin curious. "Because... They were bad friends." Chaehyun said, noticing how Yujin and Mashiro immediately looked away and nodded. They weren't expecting that answer.

"It was nice talking to you, Chaehyun. See you at break!" Yujin smiled and walked away, heading to her locker. "I have to go too. See you later!" Mashiro smiled, revealing her cute dimples.

Chaehyun nodded and smiled back before walking to her own locker, ignoring all the stares she was getting.

It was now break time. All the students pushing and running to the cafeteria, one almost hitting Chaehyun on the head with their hand. Chaehyun carefully tried to escape the large stampede that everyone created.

While Chaehyun was trying to move and dodge everyone, she felt a hand grab her wrist, pulling her towards them. It was Xiaoting with Dayeon beside her. 

"You're welcome." Xiaoting smiled and let go of Chaehyun's wrist. Chaehyun awkwardly nodded and looked at Dayeon. She looked very serious and her eyebrows were slightly furrowed.

"Dayeon?" She tapped her shoulder as Xiaoting watched. Dayeon turned around, "Yes?" Dayeon's eyebrows slowly went back to place when she saw Chaehyun. "What's up with you?" Chaehyun asked, scanning Dayeon's face.

"I'll just go..." Xiaoting backed away and headed to their usual table. The two girls nodded and brought their attention back to each other. "Nothing." Dayeon shrugged, answering Chaehyun's question.

Chaehyun rolled her eyes, "I know something is wrong." She simply said and Dayeon sighed. "My mom is your ex's dad's assistant at work." Dayeon said. "So?" Chaehyun asked, crossing her arms.

"I have to sleep over at his house."

"What?!" Chaehyun yelled out, receiving lots of stares from other students around them. "Why?" She asked, quietly this time. "Because my mom will be gone all night with his dad to do something for work." Dayeon replied.

"Why can't you stay at my house?" Chaehyun asked. "Your mom said you guys will be busy." Dayeon said, watching Chaehyun's eyebrows furrow. "My mother never told me we're busy?" She mumbled, loud enough for Dayeon to hear.

The bell interrupted them. Dayeon quickly said bye and walked away, but Chaehyun chased after her. "Give me your number, I will figure something out." She said after grabbing Dayeon's hand, startling the younger.

Dayeon hesitantly gave Chaehyun her phone and waited for her to finish before taking the phone back and smiling. "Thanks for trying to help." She said and walked away, still awkward about what just happened.

Chaehyun immediately went on her phone once she stepped into the house. She kicked her shoes off and ran upstairs, gaining the attention of her mother. 

"Chaehyun?" She called out, also rushing upstairs. She knocked onto her daughter's door and waiting for an answer.

The door opened. "You never told me we would be busy." Chaehyun said when she opened the door. "I was just about to tell you. How did you know about that anyway?" Her mother asked.

"Dayeon told me. Now tell me why we will be busy." Chaehyun ordered, calmly. "Your dad is coming over..." Her mother paused, looking at Chaehyun to see her reaction.

Chaehyun was still calm. On the outside. But on the inside, she was angry and scared.

Her mother continued, "He said he has changed." Chaehyun nodded, rolling her eyes mentally.

"Anyway, can Dayeon sleep over tonight?" Chaehyun changed the subject. Her mother thought for a while before shaking her head. "I'm sorry, Chae." She apologised before walking away into the kitchen.

Chaehyun ran upstairs again and texted Dayeon. 'Mother said you can't sleep over.' She sent the message and waited for a reply.

'It's fine. I can just stay with your ex.' Dayeon replied, sighing.

Both girls paused, trying to think of a way to save Dayeon from sleeping over at Hyuk's (Chaehyun's ex) house.

Soon, they both had an idea.

'I can sneak into your house!'

'You can sneak into my house!'

They both sent at the same time.

Chaehyun giggled before replying, 'You remember where I live, right?' She asked. Dayeon replied with a thumbs up. 'Great. Pack your stuff and I'll let you in.' Chaehyun sent before slamming her phone down onto her bed and changing into comfortable clothes.

Dayeon finally finished packing her stuff. She quickly wrote a little note and left it on the kitchen counter before running out of the house.

She looked around and sighed when she realised she left her bike at Chaehyun's house. She ran back inside her house and took her wallet before leaving again and finding a taxi.

The taxi driver parked in front of Chaehyun's house and reached his arm out, waiting for the money. Dayeon gave him the money and thanked him before stepping out of the car.

The taxi drove away and left Dayeon alone, in front of the large house. 'I'm outside your house.' She texted before putting her phone away and waiting for Chaehyun to open the door.

Chaehyun opened the door and walked out, walking towards Dayeon. "Be quiet." Was the only thing Chaehyun said before grabbing Dayeon's wrist and dragging her inside.

Chaehyun looked around the area to see if her mother was anywhere. When she saw nobody, she ran upstairs, still dragging Dayeon. She opened the door and pushed Dayeon inside her room before walking in herself.

"When I'm downstairs for dinner, try not to make any noise and stay here, okay? Also, my dad will be over." Chaehyun said and Dayeon nodded. 

"Thanks." Dayeon suddenly said. "For?" Chaehyun asked while locking her door. "For helping me. Now I don't have to sleep over at Hyuk's house." Dayeon flashed her charming smile and Chaehyun immediately looked away.

Knock Knock Knock

Three loud knocks echoed around the whole house. Chaehyun's mother immediately ran to the front door and opened the door. "You're here early?" Chaehyun's mother looked up at the man in front of her.

He nodded, "Can I come inside?" Chaehyun's mother nodded, moving to the side. He walked inside and looked around the place. "What's for dinner?" Chaehyun's father awkwardly asked. "It's a surprise." Chaehyun's mother smiled widely before walking away to the kitchen while Chaehyun's father sat down on the couch.

"Chaehyun! Your dad is here!" Chaehyun's mother yelled out.

Chaehyun groaned and Dayeon noticed how Chaehyun looked sad and scared. "What's wrong?" Dayeon asked, moving closer to Chaehyun.

"Nothing. I have to go. Stay here and be quiet." Chaehyun immediately said before stepping off the bed and slowly walking to the door and pausing. "I will bring some of the dinner." Chaehyun said and unlocked the door, opening it after and walking out.

"Hey... Dad." Chaehyun quietly said once she entered the living room. "Chaehyun... I'm so sorry!" He stood up and hugged Chaehyun tightly. But she didn't hug back.

"How is everything?" He asked and sat back down onto the couch, hoping Chaehyun would sit down beside him. "Better." Chaehyun simply said, looking down. Chaehyun's father nodded.

"Why did you come here?" Chaehyun suddenly asked, looking up to see her father. "I wanted to see you." His answer startled Chaehyun. "Why? After all you've done?" She asked again and shook her head slowly when he hesitated.

"I wanted to say that I am sorry. I'm sorry for what I have done to you." He finally said and Chaehyun nodded. "Well, I don't forgive you." Chaehyun said, crossing her arms.

"Why?" He stood up, moving closer to Chaehyun. "I can't forgive you that easily after all you have done was hurt me and my mother." She coldy said, backing away. "I tried to be nice to you." He mumbled, clenching his fists.

"What?" Chaehyun didn't hear him. "I said, I tried to be nice to you!" He yelled out, making Chaehyun flinch slghtly. "What is going on here?" Chaehyun's mother walked towards them, looking at her ex-husband.

"Nothing... Just go to your room, Chaehyun." He said and plopped himself onto the couch, sighing. Chaehyun's mother watched Chaehyun run upstairs and also sighed.
