Sandcastles

Do you remember?
Our summer days on the beach?
Our sandy feet and our sandy hearts,
We used to build sandcastles,
And we would pretend to be the king and queen,
You said I am your sea nymph,
Those where the happiest days of our lives,
The sand, the ocean, us,
But big big waves came one night,
Our sandcastle is gone,
And you went away with it,
My mom told me that,
She said the sea king took you to his domain,
Deep deep down the ocean,
I was jealous,
You got to play with dolphins and mermaids,
It's unfair,
And right now,
I sit by the shore,
Searching for your face on every wave,
But no sign of you,
And the sun sets,
I lie on the sand,
You're not coming back, are you?
