After they declared Nate the King , they let us be seated and served the first course of the meal.

It was the normal shish cabarbs with meat on obviously with a special type of source thrown over it.

We all ate and chatted about. I could see from my line of vision that the Queen and Nate seemed to be in a heated conversation

They looked like they were arguing about something but I couldn't quite make out what they were saying.

I kept staring and it looks like what the Queen had said next made Nate go quiet and turn ghostly pale.

He nodded his head and then the Queen stood up.

"Please join us as we all witness my jewel mark his mate and make her his Queen"

We all rised and bowed our heads. Cause hey we should show some respect for our new King

The priest then fetches Miranda who was sitting by the former King and Queen and led her to where Nate stood

Miranda takes a stand in front of Nate and whispers something to him but it's so soft that no one can hear

They soon face the Priest and the Priest then continues with the ceremony

"Now it's time for King Nathaniel Lockwood to accept Miss Miranda Luiz as his mate and as his Queen"

The Priest started asking them a few questions and at the last one, Nate seem to be hesitant at first but one look at the former Queen he gave his answer

"I do"

They turned to one another and Miranda nodded her head and gave him access to her neck.

He started off slow by kissing her neck and she bit her lip to keep herself from moaning

The way he's doing it let's my heart ache knowing I'll never get to do that with my mate

I'll never get the chance at happiness because I blew it with Kelly and she accepted my rejection

At the mention of the rejection , my wolf whimpered for his mate and cried out to her

I fought back a howl of sadness and pain because no one knew of Kelly being my mate

The thought of her being in my arms or when we made love that night, it was one of the best nights of my life but I had to be an idiot and reject her

I came back to the real world just in time to see Miranda showing her neck once again to Nate, showing submission to her mate

He was just about to mark her when the doors bust open. I smelled the most delicious scent and I knew by the smell and by the way my wolf's going on that it's Kelly

I turn around to see Kelly and Romeo walking in and towards the stage where the ceremony is being held.

I wanted to stop her but what shocked me the most is that Nate had stopped, looked at Kelly and yelled the word

"Mate!"
