On the next day of the exams, a school staff came knocking to their doors. Steward Nan, went and recieved it then paced towards xiao bai's room.

"Young master, a letter and a box from the academy arrived."

"Just enter and put it in the table." Xiao Bai answered with a hoarse voice.  

Nan RuZui said his excuse and opened the door, inside he saw his young master rolling in the bed, not wanting to get up. This was already a normal occurance so steward nan just made his way to the table and placed the letter on top of it.

Since Xiao Bai arrived at Yang Gui he always woke up around 9:00 am. No one can blame. He pretty much have a hectic schedule since transmigrating, he didn't have enough time to slow down.

Havina free day in school means more day off for him from the original's life affairs.

Nan RuZui bowed to him and went out continuing his daily work.

After the man left, Xiao Bai returned to his beauty rest. But after many twists and turns he couldn't sleep anymore. He cursed the academy for delivering the letter at such a time.

He got up with a disgruntled face. He felt a little dizzy so he decided to take a shower first.

After finishing his hygiene routine, he clothes himself with the simpliest and most comfortable robe he could find. How did the ancient people survived throughout their lives wearing such heavy fabrics anyway?

Just having 2 layers of jacket in the modern times is already a little bit too much. If given permission, he could just walk around with his undergarment.

He put on a thin white robe, it was a little loose so he could freely move around and the it just glaces to his skin in every movements. There's not much friction so he smiled finally in a good mood.

Before attending his business, he first looked at the mirror. He needs to tidy his hair. However, he doesn't really like tying it up in a ponytail, too troublesome.

So he just gathered his hair up and formed it in a messy bun. Little baby hairs framing his little face. It was a cute sight to behold but also a little tempting. 

"Let's see" Xiao Bai said to himself as he opened the envelope.

The letter is indeed to notify him about gaining the title of a champion. They also said that he needs to make a speech in behalf of the freshmen in the opening ceremony.

He put the letter down and picked the box, putting it in front of him. He opened it and saw a red robe with gold linings embroidered on the edges and corners giving it a full contrast to the colors.

He knew that it was a garment for champions in the ancient time. 

The color red represents love that's why chinese weddings are suggested to wear red wedding robes, red can also mean prosperity so businesses will always have something red, that's why the ancient monarchs always wear red to welcome prosperity from the gods and love from it's people.

They also won't forget about golds.

Gold from the past, present to the future will always symbolize wealth, grace, and elegantness. Wearing a red garment adorned by gold puts one a lot of pressure to other people but Xiao Bai isn't. In fact, he quite like the feeling of being an important figurehead.

He liked the feeling of being able to catch everyone's attention. In the past, he would definitely hate it but now he thinks that Wang Bai deserves to be in the spotlight. Is it possible that he inherited the original's characteristics?

The original Xiao Bai was born to be a ruler so maybe he got it when he crossed over? He realized this change when he fought on the entrance exam.

"Ming Xue!" Xiao bai called while waving his hand as he approached.

He stopped at his training and waited for Xiao bainto reach him.

When Xiao Bai made it to where he was he invited the other to a shed under the peach blossom tree nearby. Xiao also followed suit and they say at the shadow provided.

Xiao Bai fished am envelop from his robe and gave it to Ming Xue, "This is the letter for my mom. I came here to give you that."

Ming Xue took it and carefully places it inside his robe, "Since you're already here. Why not practice for a few hours?"

Xiao Bai thought for a minute then agreed, stood up and pat his robe. Ming Xue threw a sword at him and he caught it easily.

They packed towards the very center of the field, guarding against each other's movements. They stopped when they reached their destination, taking their stance and sized each other up. Xiao Bai was calm and so as Ming Xue, with a click they started their training.

"Young master, are you nervous?" Ming Xue asked. They are currently in the backstage.

The venue of this ceremony is not the one thag they used in the first day. This venue is actually the Yang's ancestral home. More specifically, there is a huge room in the left wing that could fit all the students. There is also a stage infront.

Xiao Bai, "I'm not nervous, I'm just thinking who might be the other top-notcher?" 

Ming Xue, "Was it not written on the letter?"

Xiao Bai, "No."

Suddenly they heard some girls squealing outside. They peek a look and saw another young master walking towards them. He's also wearing a red robe like Xiao Bai.

The man finally reached them and joined inside the backstage, "It's nice to see you again, Mr. Wang Bai, and Mr. Ming Xue".

Xiao Bai rolled his eyes, "It's you again?"

XuWei laughed a little and thought that this kitty really has some temper, "Yes its me again."

Ming Xue butted in with a flat tone, "Seems like those girls adore you very much."

XuWei scratched his head, acting confused, "I don't know...Wait. They didn't react when the both of you arrived?"

Xiao Bai was the one who answered, "No. We chose to arrive early so no one was even here, except for the teachers."

XuWei, "Then that's good." No one was able to appreciate your beauty early in the morning.

Suddenly a female senior approached them and asked who will have their speech first. XuWei and Xiao Bai talked for a bit and decided to let XuWei take the stage first. The female senior nodded and told them to wait for their que.

Their was only the both of them in there now. Ming xue went back outside to take his sit. Xiao Bai was a little bit bored so he decided to stick up a conversation, "Hey uhm. Mr. Qin WeiXu?"

XuWei looked towards him a smiled, " A-wei is fine." 

Xiao Bai replied with a poker face, "But that sounds too intimate."

XuWei thought, that's purpose of it, but he chuckled and replied, "I'm not used to that kind of name, so just call me Wei-xiong if A-wei is to intimate."

Xiao bai, " If I call you that then won't it look like we are some kind of sect brothers?"

XuWei thought so also, "Then call me Wei-gege."

Xiao Bai, "No way, are you even older than me? You look like just my age.

"

WeiXu,"I'm 17 you know. And you've just turned 16, right?"

Xiao bai nodded then, "How did you know?"

XuWei broke out in cold sweat all of a sudden, "my guts told me. Hahaha"

Xiao bai shrugged it off and just decided to call him WeiXu, "WeiXu, why do you think they chose two champions this year? Are we really that equal both literary and martial arts?"

WeiXu, "I think so. I'm also amazed to find someone as my equal."

Xiao bai sneered, thinking that this young master might have achieved various honors since childhood.

They talk a little bit more before a staff came to fetch them and let them stand by at the left side entrance of the stage. XuWei was finally called out.

Subconsciously, his eyes drifted towards where Xiao Bai is and they caught each other's eyes, XuWei was stunned for a moment before winking at him. Xiao Bai just rolled his eyes and went back to hiding.

Xiao bai just wanted to look why the people suddenly became noisy, and found that the initiator was WeiXu and so, because of curiosity, he stared at him for a good while and indeed he looks really good, like those supermodels in his world.

However he didn't expected that WeiXu would turn to him also caughting him red handed.

XuWei raised his hand up and they immediately calmed down, he cleared his throat and started his speech.

XuWei, "Dear teachers and dear students,

Good morning everyone!

I am honored to be able to speak here as a student representative.

Time is passing, Yang Gui is renewed.

The warmth of the blossoms blowing petal leaves is enough to be heart-warming at this moment. It is another school day, and we are again at this moment.....

This time he didn't came back backstage but at the utmost right side of the stage. Their was a two chair secluded in that area intended for the two champions to sit on.

The headmaster, Mr. Yang, gave a nod to XuWei and stood up, "Many of you here might have or haven't heard but there is another champion who'll give his words in behalf of all the students.

In the years of Yang Gui there was never an incident like this.

The whole committee and I thought that the both of them really deserve it and thus thought that maybe it's time to change history, to have a new story to tell.

So without further a do, let's welcome our second champion."

Hearing his que, Xiao Bai gracefully and elegantly trotted towards the stage. He gave a bow to the teachers and to the students before starting his inspiration speech.

Xiao Bai took a deep breathe, "A very warm welcome to each and every one of you. Distinguished headmaster, Yang, respected staff and teachers, and my dear fellow students welcome to Yang Gui Academy....

So let us start a new year at school with hopes and dreams that no matter how limited we might be, we will do our best to achieve what we call dreams.

It was actually a total silence after he finished. His voice felt so serene and calming that there troubled hearts are lulled by him.

They we're already drifting to their wonderland when the lullaby stopped and then they realized he was finished.

XuWei was the first one to react. He put his hands together and the rest joined with him.

To be honest, he doesn't like people watching Xiao Bai. He doesn't like it when he gains attention from others but what can he do? The other just really stands out among all. He shines brighter than those nights pearls he bought.

So he just gave up the idea in hiding Xiao Bai from them instead he changed his plan and decided to help Xiao Bai gain more attention so he could bring him back to their kingdom and introduce him to his parents.

Xiao bai also bowed once again and went beside XuWei, where the vacant sit was.

The programme proceeded and the teachers were introduced one by one. The male teacher who facilitated Xiao bai's exam both in literary and martial arts is the headmaster's distant nephew, Yang WenShu.

The student union committee was also introduced infront of the freshmen.

And to Xiao Bai's surprise the senior who helped them to find their way when they arrived was actually the president of the union named Zhou ZhiNeng.

What's more shocking is that the cute senpai who led them to the bamboo paradise pavilion was the third child of the headmaster. She was called Yang LianHua. Such a small world indeed.

After they finished the formalities in they went to the ancestral home to pay respect for the founder. They bowed and offered incense one by one, and finally they are free to go roam around or go home to rest, for tomorrow will be the first day of their school. 

All along the series of events, XuWei never seperates from xiao bai for at least a meter. And Ruo lan was forbidden to go closer to them unless necessary. He could only watch His Highness flirt from afar.

He was also afraid that Ming Xue might recognize him if they saw each other once again.

However, this time he doesn't really have any choices. He waited for XuWei to look at his direction before giving the prince a gesture that he was needed for something urgent. XuWei glared at him but soon calmed down and went to Xiao Bai's side.

XuWei, "Wang Bai, I'll be going first. See you tomorrow."

Xiao Bai thought it was weird for him to make an effort of informing him however he still answered politely, "Then bacareful on your way Qin WeiXu. We'll see you tomorrow."

XuWei nodded and excused himself then met with Ruo Lan in a hidden area full of trees. 

Ming xue, "Xiao bai, what are your plans for today?" 

Xiao bai yawned lazily with droopy eyes, "I want to go home and sleep. I'm tired."

Ming xue, "Very well then. Uncle Nan is waiting outside."

Xiao bai, "Okay." They went outside the school and looked for steward Nan RuZui in the sea of carriages.

Finally they saw him and told him to directly go home since Xiao Bai wants to rest for the day. 

Uncle Nan hit the horses lightly and they moved at a steady pace. 

When they arrived Mu Yifan ran towards the door and received them. Asking if Xiao Bai needs some kind of assitance or does he want something.
Xiao bai told the little one to deliver food into his room and not wake him up.

Mu Yifan nodded and immediately prepared the things he was asked.

While Ming Xue excused himself that he will accompany Uncle Nan in the market later. Xiao Bai acknowledge them and went to his bed and directly threw himself on the bed.

"I'm beat." He ranted on his own and went to his dreamland.

XuWei met with Ruo lan in a secluded area within the schoolground, "Whats' the matter?"

Ruo lan, "His Highness, the Emperor, is currently waiting for you in your quarters."

XuWei, "Why would Emperor Father come here?"

Ruo lan, "how would I know? He just sent a shadow guard earlier and informed me to tell you to meet him."

He doesn't wear his usual heavenly robes instead he wore a noble's clothing but he really couldn't hide his dignified aura. 

XuWei went to him and asked, "Father, what brings you here?"

Emperor Xin looked up to him and invited his son to take a seat, "I came here to check on you. We haven't heard a word from since you came here."

XuWei grinned at his father's remarks and knew that something was up, "Xuwei apologizes. However what really brings you here? You are not even worried when I'm away to the borderlands but now that I'm inside a peaceful and secured place, you have to check up on me?"

Emperor Xin also smiled, "You're pretty sharp you know?"

XuWei, "I know." Then the both of them laughed.

Emperor Xin cleared his throat, " I especially came here because your mother and I are getting a little bit anxious about your future. You are already at a marriedable age but you don't even go hang out with some young ladies.

Wei-er, I'm not getting any younger, we need to find a suitable empress for you and Yang Gui is a good place for that."

"But father, I don't want to tie the knot for now." XuWei protested.

Emperor Xin sighed, he expected this answer from his son, "I know but you also know that this is not your choice to make it is your responsibility as the future ruler."

XuWei wanted to protest again but he doesn't have any valid reason to say. He just felt like he wants to wait for someone, "Father, I understand. However I'm not going to marry someone whom I can't see as my equal." He said with a firm tone.

Emperor Xin, "I'll try to find one. However don't expect too much. Having someone who could go at the same level as you are must be a very rare treasure. Hard to find."

However the treasure they are finding is currently asleep and is just a house blocks away from them.

XuWei was infront of the nobles and ministers. He was wearing his red dragon robes, the room was also decorated with red curtains and other accessories. 

"The bride is entering!" A eunuch announcement. Everyone looked at the entrance and a figure slowly emerged from the bright background.

The person is also wearing a red robe however it was adorned by golden phoenix, the symbol of an empress.

While that person walks slowly towards XuWei he suddenly felt strange, he was wearing his red dragon robe and that person is wearing a red phoenix robe, the whole room was decorated carefully and all the important figures of the kingdom is here.

Am I getting married? Whose the bride?

The person finally reached the platform and bowed towards XuWei whose stares are like daggers.

The wedding proceeded and it was time to take off the veil that was hiding the other's face. XuWei slowly approached and held the ends of the veil then slowly removed it. 

He was beyond shock to see a very familiar person.

It was Xiao Bai!

Did he married Xiao Bai as his empress? This was a surprise! Did the ministers agreed to take a male empress?

XuWei smiled like an idiot but that didn't affected his handsomeness. He actually looked more stunning, smiling like he found the most valuable treasure in his life.

XuWei then said his vows, " I promise infront of everyone here today that I'll love you forever and ever, till the stars lost their brightness, till the oceans dissipate. I'll protect our love from all kinds of temptations and I hope that you'll do the same as I.

My wife, my life, my everything, my Xiao Bai, I love you."

Ruo lan, who just happened to past by his young master's room and heard murmuring, "Young master! Are you alright?"

No one replied so he thought that His Highness might be in danger so he forcefully opened the door and found that XuWei is murmuring in his sleep and thought that he might have a nightmare, "Young Master! Wake up!"

Xiao bai's figure faded and Xuwei drifted back to reality.
