"i'm sorry, i overreacted yesterday. i was so emotionally unstable like i shouldn't be throwing a tantrum over a prank-" seungmin jumped in once felix was gone, apologizing while looking down at his shoes.

"i should be the one saying sorry. it's my fault for being a jerk and making you cry. i'll literally beg on my knees for forgiveness if you want," hyunjin said softly, crouching a little so that the shorter boy could see the sincerity in his eyes.

"n-no, please don't! i'm not mad at you anymore," seungmin stuttered at the eye contact, looking away immediately with a growing blush.

both of them were aware of the stares coming from their curiosity-filled schoolmates, but they paid no mind to them.

"i did upset you at some point, let me compensate for it — no, i will not take 'no' as an answer, puppy. are you free during the weekend? i'll take you out," hyunjin asked, making seungmin all flustered at the sudden question.

"i- um-"

"minnie's free the whole saturday, right?" jisung, who arrived school not long ago and heard the pair's conversation, popped in abruptly as he draped an arm around seungmin's shoulder with a knowing smile.

sungie you're a lifesaver, seungmin thought as he nodded, knowing without his friend he would probably be stumbling over his words like an idiot.

hyunjin shot him a goofy grin, "i gotta go find the others, i'll give you my number later."

with a wink and a giddy heart, the taller boy set off to find his older friends, leaving the flustered brunet standing.

"wow, you just got yourself a date. teach me your ways, min," jisung commented as he guided them into their classroom.

seungmin was too much in a daze to reply anything, not quite believing what had just happened.

felix asked excitedly once the pair entered his vision, "minnie! what did he say?"

"he asked him on a date!" jisung answered for seungmin enthusiastically.

"don't be so loud! i don't want his fangirls to attack me," seungmin recovered from his bewildered state and shushed his twin-like friends.

"oh my cat! how? can you teach me how to get a date with binnie?" the cute blond clung onto the taller brunet's arm, looking at the latter with begging puppy eyes.

seungmin looked back and forth at the duo, blinking rapidly.

they really do share a braincell.
