Chapter 4- Actually making a friend!

I brought the boy from the library into my room, making sure to keep my door open. I turned to him and smiled.

"So, I never caught your name..." I start, awkwardly. If I was going to be the one to break the ice- so be it.

I already lost him in the library, I won't lose him again...

"Uhh, It's Aaron." He said, just as awkward, "I didn't really catch your's either..."

"Why? My mother said it loud and clear. Were you cowering in fear?" I asked, genuinely confused. "Or perhaps you were so amazed by my beauty that you couldn't focus on anything else..." I mutter to myself.

     "What?" He asks shocked.

Well, I am extremely fabulous. So, it must be the latter!

"My name is Violet!" I clarify, "I was actually thinking, hoping, I'd see you again." I said, looking up at him. "So, you wanna be friends?"

He gave me a deadpanned glared- Why? I have no idea.- and then spoke, "Look, desperate. I was actually thinking, hoping, the opposite. Just like I said in the library- I don't want to be your friend."

"Whatever." I said, rolling my eyes "It doesn't madder what you think in this relationship." I said, shrugging without a care for my pathetic excuse of a friend.

I mean- what kind of friend is he? He's not taking account for my feelings.

"Relationship?!" He yells out, "What the hell are you talking about?!"

"Uh, our friendship? Duh." I replied.

God, my new friend is stupid.

"We're not friends!" He 'corrects' me, glaring a hole in my head.

"Why not?" I whine, "I asked you nicely!"

"Yeah, sure." He clenched his jaw in anger, "But, I said no."

"You did?" I ask sincerely surprised by this revelation.

      "I did."

"That's great!" I smiled, not at all caring "Now stop resisting what we both know you want and be my friend."

"Why do you want to be my friend so badly?" He questions, looking around my room.

"Well, I sorta promised my best friend that I would make a new friend by the end of the summer... Can you please help?"

He gave a dry laugh, "Sorry, but I don't do charity..." He replied with a fake smile.

I'm tired of this! This whole 'be nice' thing is not working for me!

"Listen here, Aaron!" I snap taking Aaron by surprise, "You and I are now friends- rather you like it or not!" I shout. "You and I will now do fun friend things! We will tell each other secrets! We will make each other friendship-bracelets! When you cry- I will cheer you up! Who knows??? If I show up at your house with a dead body, you will help me bury the damn body!" I stood up and walked up to him until we stood face-to-face, well... face-to-chest. I gave him the deadliest of death-glares. "From now on, we will be the best of friends, Aaron!" I grabbed his collar and pulled him down so we really were face-to-face. "Got it, friend?"

"Not happening..." He hissed out, "I will never bury a body with you."

"You will." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

He smirked at me, "And if I don't?"

"Then it won't be the only dead body I have to bury." I threaten.

He purses his lips, "I guess that will work, sense I would rather be dead than friends with you."

I gasp, "If you don't agree to be my friend, then I will tell everyone about your embarrassing middle name!" I threaten

Technically, I have no idea what the hell his middle name is, but, in most movies and books, people usually have embarrassing middle names.

"How do you know my middle name?!" He gasped, looking at me with fear.

"I didn't." I hiss back, "You just told me it's embarrassing."

He relaxed, "So? If you don't know my middle name- you can't tell people." He said with a shrug.

"Maybe not." I shrugged, "But, I can tell them it's super hilarious."

"And that will what? Make them curious? Oh no! I'm quivering in my boots!" He said sarcastically.

"One: You aren't even wearing boots!" I take a deep breath, "Two: Yes, it will make them curious. They will be so curious that they want to know- so they'll ask you. When you refuse to answer, they will be even more curious. They won't give up, they will keep asking, and asking, and asking until you give in. And when you do give in, they will eat it up- before you know it, everyone is calling you by your middle name. Only by your middle name, Aaron will be a thing of the past."

    "Damn it!"

"My offer still stands." I remind him, a triumphant grin on my face.

"Offer? Offer?! That was not an offer by any means! That was straight up blackmail!" He yells, finally jerking back and releasing himself from my grip.

"Offer, blackmail, threat, deal- Call it what you want." I said with a smile, "Do you agree to it?"

After glaring at my for a whole ten minutes, he growls out an answer, "No."

"Great!" I cheer, not really listening to his answer.

I made a new friend today! -and Lucy said I couldn't make friends with blackmail.

After moving skipping over to my bed and sitting down on it, I respond with a face-splitting grin. "Alright, Friend! Call me, V!"

"I'm not your friend!" He yelled out, anger coming off him in waves.

"What do you mean?" I whine with a pout.

Aaron only glares at me before he turns around and tries to escape through the open doorway. Key word: try.

I shoot up out of my bed before he can reach the door and pounce, crushing Aaron underneath me.

"So? What's your favorite color?" I ask from on top of him to break the ice.

"Get off of me, you fattie!" He growled out trying to wiggle himself out from under me.

"Well mines rainbow. Duh!" I cheer, choosing to excuse his rudeness towards me. "Favorite animal?"

This continued for hours, I asked questions while he begged me to released him. We continued to do this until him and his family had to leave.

I made a new friend today! Isn't it great?

.......................................

I'm laying on my back in my bed- not knowing what to do with myself.

It's been a whole day since I befriended Aaron and I haven't seen his ugly-yet-still-hot face since... Did he abandon me already?

Well, whatever is keeping us apart, I will destroy. I need to prove my worth to Lucy!

I sighed and turned over on my stomach, glaring out my window... I always hated my window, it stares out facing the window of an empty room. No one has occupied that house since before I was born....

Wait...

That's where the new neighbors moved in!

I quickly move to my window and peaked between the curtains. On the other side, I totally saw a girl, Aaron's little sister Emily, playing around in the room that was once completely empty. The place had been completely remodeled and the gray, boring walls were now a bright pink.

Suddenly, a great idea popped into my head.

I yanked my curtains open and looked around my room. I took out my rock collection and removed a rock. I opened my window and chucked the rock at Emily's.

The sound made her jump and she instantly looked towards the noise.

I beckoned her to open the window so we can talk. She opened his window and looked cautiously at me, "What?" She frowns, "Since when did you live though this window?"

"Since forever, tell your turd face of a brother to get dressed." I replied, "Tell him that we are going to have some real fun!"

I closed my window, ending the discussion. This window thing can come in handy...

I smirked as I thought of all the fun we were going to have.
