Alex's POV:

Skip To New Year's Eve: 

     It was six o'clock in the evening today. Oh my gosh this year went by so fast. Good things happened. Bad things happened. But it's alright because that's life. I was getting ready for the party at my house tonight. Being the tomboy I am, I threw on a black skater dress that had a sweetheart neckline with short net sleeves. The top part of it was gold though. Gotta have some color. 

     Karaoke was fun at my house. Sean and I sang Stitches by Shawn Mendes but kept laughing. Then Kenneth and I sang As Long As You Love Me by Justin Bieber. I rapped the whole part and sang some of it. We're doing karaoke tonight too. Mom and Dad want me to do a solo. And I am. I'm dedicating Tattooed Heart to Sean. Yeah I'm lame but whatever. My parents know a lot of people so I'm guessing there will be a lot of people. Plus my squad and their families. I get a facetime call from Sean. 

"Hey Cupcake." He greets me. 

"Hiya Cutie." I smile at him. I set my phone down at my makeup desk and do my makeup. 

"Ready for New Years?" Sean asks, admiring me. I know he's admiring me because he has those eyes and he tilts his head to the left. 

"Honestly, yes. Sean, so many things have happened this year and I just want things to be okay." I stop with my mascara and look at him. 

"They will be okay. Have hope." He tells me. 

"Sean, people say that to me every year. I have so much hope but honestly, I'm keeping my hopes low next year." I sigh and shake my head. 

"Alex, you should always keep your hopes at a level. Look, people out there freaking love you. Especially me." He winks at me. 

"You're too cute." I giggle. 

"You're cuter. Aye, I gotta go. But I'll see ya tonight. Love you." He hangs up. I smile at the blank screen and continue on with my makeup. I finally finish and start on my hair. I grabbed my wand and curled my hair. 

     After I finished, I went downstairs. People were coming in around seven. I made sure all the decorations were nicely done properly. I am a perfectionist after all. I made sure that karaoke was set up nicely. We were doing karaoke outside since my backyard is big and it has a little stage. 

     It was now seven-thirty and guests had started to arrive. I saw my Boy Squad baes. I just call them that so don't think I like them. I got Sean, my only boy. I see my best friend, Lily (Ayeits_Zizi). She had spent a whole year in around the world, studying dance. She looked so different from when she left. At first she had medium length black hair and now it's super long and layered. She had also gotten taller and her glasses were gone too. 

"LILY!" I tackled her in a hug. 

"ALEX!" She hugged back. I missed her so much. 

"When did you get back?" I looked at her cheerfully. 

"Last night. When did you get so hot?" She winked at me. 

"Ew. When was I ever cute? Your hair hecka grew. And your glasses are gone. You looked so different when you left." I laugh at her. I hear Sean clear his throat. 

"Um.. Alex? Who's your friend?" Gabe asks. 

"Oh right. Lily, this is my boyfriend Sean, and his friends Kenneth, Will, Gabe, and Josh." I made sure Lily knew who she was talking to. 

"So you're Sean. Yep, Alex talks about you ALL the time." Lily nods her head and smiles. "One thing Sean, break her heart I'll hurt you in so many ways that I-" 

"OKAY LILY." I stand in between her and Sean. Lily is very protective of me. Sean stepped back a little bit. 

Gabe's POV:

     Alex's friend, Lily is so pretty. Like Imma get to know her. If Alex would let go of her. 

"So Lily, where ya from?" I ask her. 

"Stalking my best friend?" Alex wraps her arm around Lily's shoulder. 

"Nah. Just wanna know this beautiful girl." I shrug. 

"He likes you.." Alex whispers in her ear. Lily blushed and hid her face. 

"I'm actually from California. I lived in Los Angeles but I've been in and out of the country because I do worldwide dance competitions. And I spent a whole year in London studying dance." She explains. Wow, talented. 

"Dang, you are talented." Will compliments. 

"Yeah, it must be fun." Josh comments. 

"Around the world." Kenneth was impressed too. 

"That's awesome. I wanna do that." Sean wraps his arms around Alex. They're so cute honestly. 

"It's really cool." Lily nods her head. "I'm glad I could be home for New Years." 

"Me too." Alex smiles. "Everything seems perfect now."

      All of us hung out until the clock struck twelve. It was now time for karaoke and Alex was going to sing. I love her singing honestly. As she got on stage, everyone clapped. But all of us cheered. 

"Alright. Good evening everyone." Alex holds the mic. "As you know, I'm Alexandra but Alex for short."

"WOO! LOVE YOU ALEX!" Lily exclaims. Everyone looks at her and she hides behind me. 

"Love you too cutie." Alex points. "Anyways, so today I am going to be doing two songs. So let's start with the first one. This is dedicated to this special someone who made my life better." 

     As Alex is close to finishing, people cheered. Sean went up on stage and hugged her. Cute moment. Picture perfect. I freaking love Alex and Sean together. Imma just say it right now, but I use to like Alex. Alex was honestly the most prettiest girl ever. She was sweet and caring and funny. I'm over her though. We're brother and sister. She's still really pretty, sweet, caring, and funny. 

"Thank you! Now, Imma sing one more song. Dedicated to my best friends. One Call Away by Charlie Puth." Alex points to all of us. 

"Awh! Love you sister!" I call out. 

"You're so crazy! We love you Alex!" Kenneth makes a heart and smiles. 

"Das my best friend!" Will says. 

"Go best friend!" Josh cheers. The music starts and Alex gets in "character."

"Good job Alex!" Her mom calls out. 

"Thank you everyone." Alex quickly gets off stage. She drinks some water and walks up to us. 

"That was AWESOME." We all say. 

"Haha thanks." She blushes. 

Sean's POV:

     Wasn't Alex amazing? Oh my gosh, I freaking love her so much. My baby is talented. I loved when she sang Tattooed Heart. That was so beautiful. The whole night we did karaoke and hung out. Of course Kenneth and I were gonna go up there. I just love to have fun with everything you know. I don't take anything seriously. 

11:58 p.m. 

Almost twelve. Time to welcome in 2017.  

"Alex, I just wanna say you're the best thing ever. I'm glad you gave me a chance. I'm glad you're mine. I freaking love to the galaxy and back. You mean so much to me and I'm glad you were my friend, best friend, and now my girlfriend." I explain. She looks at me like I'm crazy. 

"THREE, TWO, ONE.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" Everyone yells. 

"Cupcake, you're freaking beautiful and I just want you to be happy." I smile.

"Shut up and kiss me you idiot." She grabs my face. After a few seconds, we let go. 

"Happy New Year babe." I look a her. 

"Happy New Year babe." She hugs me. "Glad my first real kiss was with you." She says into the crook of my neck. 

Gabe's POV:

FINALLY GOT A NEW YEARS KISS! Lily was my freaking new years kiss. (Escalated fast, I know.) I was suppose to kiss her cheek but she turned and bam we both kiss each other. 

"So what does this mean?" She asks me.

"Are we..?" I didn't know what to say. 

"Well, I know a lot about you because of Alex. But you don't know a lot about me." She explains. 

"Let's give it a shot." I wink. 

"Can we?" Lily tilts her head to the side. 

"Yes." I nod and grab her hand. We walk over to Sean and Alex. 

"Whoa whoa." Alex says. She looks at us with wide eyes. "Since when?" 

"Since we had a "accidental" kiss." Lily air-quotes. 

"We wanna give it a shot." I shrug. 

"Okay, but Gabe De Guzman, if you break her heart... I will not think twice about breaking your face." Alex threatens. But she hugs me and Lily. "Congrats though." 

Lily's POV:

      It's finally happening. Me and Gabe. Ahhh I'm so happy I could cry. He kissed me, I kissed him. Ever since I walked in and saw Gabe, I felt butterflies in my stomach. New Years is the best. I hope everything goes well for us. Sean and Alex seem to be doing fine. They're honestly really cute though. They don't seem like they're dating. They seem like best friends. My OTP. 

"Well, wasn't this a wonderful new year?" Alex smiles, putting her head on Sean's shoulder. 

"Yes it was." Gabe puts his arm around me. 

"New Year? Bring it on." I nod. 

Well I updated after a while. Thanks for 2.2K reads. Oh and Gabe got 100K on Instagram. Proud of my lil bby. Anyways this week has been stressful af. Volleyball, drama, conferences, school in general.
