Chapter Eleven

—First Person POV.—

The lady brought me to a table, having me sit down before setting a book in front of me "Please look through and let me know which ones you like." She smiled, glancing to Lord Todoroki as he came walking over.

She shot me a happy—More like fake.— Look before backing off and moving to the side. I glanced towards Lord Todoroki "Are you really getting them for me?" I questioned, tilting my head as he neared.

"That's right." He nodded, pulling out the chair next to me and sitting down while I opened the book and started looking through the many shoes shown.

I flipped through a few pages before coming to a stop on a black shoe similar to my original ones "Then this one—" That's similar to the ones you're wearing now. How about.." He cut me off, pointing to a pink one next to the one I pointed at.

"Something like this?" He questioned, watching me for my reaction. I stopped my face from scrunching up at the thought 'I'd rather die than wear a flashy disaster like that.' I mentally complained.

"Since you're buying it for me, I'd prefer one the same color as our clothes, plus, it matches with my uniform." I quickly excused, pushing a smile on to my face.

He tsked, grabbing the book from my grasp "Fine, we'll just get both." He concluded, standing and heading over to the lady with the book still in his hand.

I stayed seated in the chair, not knowing what to do while he talked with the lady 'What?'

—Time Skip.—

'I thought that was the end of the Prince and the Vampire's war of gifts.'

I grumbled 'That blonde has been sending different gifts, variating from beauty products to baked goods.'

'This caused the vampire to gift me with his own gifts, their petty war continuing on and on.'

'And not long after, I received a dress from the Prince..'

A knock at my door let me know that someone was there "Yes?" I called, getting up from my spot on my bed and heading to the door.

Hearing no response, I opened the door, looking out in confusion.

No one was there, causing me to deadpan 'Don't look down, don't look down.' I mentally repeated to myself, already knowing what would be there when I did.

Of course, I glanced down to see a new gift from the vampire, it was a red box with a white ribbon holding the lid shut.

Just like the others, it held no note— Not like this surprised me. Feeling a nearby maid glaring daggers at me, I picked up the box and brought it into my room,

I untied the lid, lifting it to look at the contents inside. My eyebrows furrowed as I caught sight of the red jewel attached to the white fabric.

I grabbed the cloth and pulled it, the rest of its body coming out and causing a look of surprise to fill my eyes as I realized it was a dress.

The dress was black like my maid one but was more fancy, a white ruffle attached to the neck cuff where the red jewel beautifully glistened.

'It's beautiful..' I breathed, setting it down to check and make sure my room door was locked before taking off my current maid dress.

'Couldn't he just get me casual clothes?' I questioned, happily changing in to the new dress. Once I had gotten it on and buttoned all the buttons I left my room.

I went straight to Lord Todoroki's office, knocking before walking in "Thank you so much." I chirped, watching as he glanced up from his papers.

He nodded, this being his usual response to my thank you's. Unlike the last time he did this, I continued "Hey, can you tell the Prince not send me any more gifts?" I requested.

"Why? Are you sick of it now?" He replied, I shook my head "Getting so many gifts just make me uncomfortable." I confessed, causing Todoroki to glance up at me.

He stared at me for a few minutes before turning away with a nod "Fine, I'll take care of it."

"..Thank you again." I thanked for the millionth time this week, stepping back towards the door.

'He looks angry.. Am I misreading him?' I wondered, turning on my heel and grabbing the door handle "Lord Todoroki, I'll go eat and come right back." I informed, turning the handle and walking out.

He didn't answer me or object to the decision, so I left 'He won't even look at me. What a petty Vampire.'

Once the door closed behind me I paused, my eyes catching on to a red ribbon on the floor.

After a few seconds I sighed, picking it up and walking away. I went to the kitchen, grabbing a piece of bread and eating it as I walked to the back door.

'I bet... He thinks I'm using the Prince as an excuse because I don't like his gifts' I swallow the bread before pushing the door open.

"I should cheer him up." I mumbled to myself, not caring if anyone heard "It's not like anyone else will?" Due to it being so well kept, the grass felt soft against my feet as I trotted around the side of the Manor.

Soon enough I came to a stop, looking down at the flowers near the tree line.

They where fully white flowers, I didn't know what type they were but they were beautiful.

I quickly picked a few from the ground, using the red ribbon to tie them all together. Once I had finished tying the flowers together, I sat back in the shade "I wonder if he'll like these?" I questioned myself.

After rearranging a few of the flowers, I stood up and headed back inside. On my way in, I ended up passing by my room and stopped 'Maybe I should..' I looked towards my door.

I know I have a paper and a quill to write with...

'Ah, whatever.' I shrugged, backtracking and heading into my room.

I pulled out a paper and some extra ink, gently placing the flowers on to my bed as I got to work.

A little later I had finished my little note and folded it. I stretched before placing the note in to the bouquet and leaving my room.

I kind of forgot to knock and happily walked in to his office "I'm back, Lord Todoroki." I called to see him still sitting behind his desk.

He didn't say anything back and mainly ignored me, not bothering to ask about the flowers in my hands as I trotted over to him.

I placed the flowers on to his desk, causing him to look up at me in confusion.

"This is a gift for you" I sweat dropped, watching as he grabbed the bouquet and removed the note.

He unfolded the paper, setting down the flowers as he read.

————————————————————————
'Hello, Todoroki
It's your personal maid (Y/n)!
Since I keep receiving gifts,
I wanted to give you one as well.
I wanted you to know how happy I was
Every time I received a gift.
I don't have anything, so it took me a second to come up with this.

I thought the flowers were pretty
So I picked them,
I thought about you as I picked them one by one
Asking myself "I wonder if he'll like this?"

I wanna buy you something nicer later,
When I can make money
Wait until then and try not to have a tantrum.

-(Y/n)'
————————————————————————

I didn't really mean to write much and it sounded a lot more sappy than I intended. But, not hearing him say anything and just watching him read the paper caused an odd feeling to creep up my spine.

I watched as his eyes scanned the lines where my writing resided. Each word processing through his thoughts with his expression staying vacant.

'Is he really reading it?' I internally questioned, inching closer to him so could I analyze his features more for any kind of emotion.

"Get out."

"Huh?" He didn't look up to me, his eyes staying fixated on the paper.

"I said, Get out." He repeated a bit louder and the temperature in the room didn't drop like all the other times before.

Instead it started to heat up, but I wasn't paying attention to that as I darted out the door 'Whats wrong? I didn't write anything weird???'

—Third Person POV.—

Todoroki held the flowers to his scarred face, the white petals shielding his facial features as a dark blush now painted his cheeks red.

No, that would be an understatement, his entire face was covered in the dark crimson hue.

And it only grew, causing the rooms temperature to grow as well.

First Person POV.—

—That night.—

I sat up in my bed, a sneeze escaping my irritated nose 'Todoroki....' I mentally cried towards all the flowers surrounding me and filling my room.

The flowers varied from red to blue and came in all shapes and sizes, but all of their scents mixed together equally abused my sense of smell.

'Please, for the sake my my sleep, LEARN SOME MODERATION!!' I internally screamed, pushing some of the flowers on the side of my bed away from my face.
