we all took turns paying for a round of drinks, i was on my fourth gin and lemonade and i was paying for this round. while standing at the bar i forgot how quickly i got drunk and felt it kick in, my vision had begun to get blurry but that wouldn't stop a tipsy juliet bowie from her beloved drinks. i payed contactless and carefully walked back to the table where only alex and miles were sat at.

i sit the drinks down in front of the boys,"where's girlie?" i ask sliding in beside miles,

miles takes a sip of his drink while scrolling through instagram,"trying to get service." he doesn't look up at me but im still confused so i look across to alex who's is already looking at me,

he raises his eyebrows before i can speak, "texting some guy, think his name was james or john." godbless alex for having a good ear, i stick my head out of the booth to look for her as alex and miles start a conversation about the new album.

i spot her over at the front door and go to get up when i felt a foot beside mine, practically on top of it. i turn back to the table and look under to see who it was, alex was the culprit and moved it slightly closer. i looked up at him to see if he meant it as a joke but he was still engaged in the conversation with miles, accidental i got it. thinking that it wasn't on purpose i got up and grabbed my drink to get lex but a certain someone had other ideas, "where you going?" alex holds his arm out in front of me, stoping me in my tracks.

i point my finger at lex standing by the door, "going to get lex." he nodded as his hand moved to my hip before he dropped it to the empty seat beside him. 'touchy', i thought but i just shrugged it off yet again and headed to lex who was still in the same place. "what's up?" i ask her before taking a sip of my drink,

she turns her phone to my face to show the text she got from her manager, "james was texting me about a show this weekend i could preform at but i get no service up there." she has a big smile across her face as i pull her in for a hug, "that's it sent." she leaves a loose arm around my shoulder, taking a deep breath before walking back to the table.

as the table comes back into view i see the boys laughing away, well miles laughing and kicking alex while he shakes his head."proud of you lex." we sit back down but this time lex has took the spot beside miles leaving me beside alex.

miles looks at us,"proud?" so alexandra shows her phone to the boys immediately causing them congratulate her, alex gives her a clap as miles pulls her in for a side hug. typical. as alex finished his clapping he set his hand back down beside him, beside me, my hand was about two cemeteries away from his yet neither of us moved.

"so!" miles exclaims rather loudly, "let's get down to album business, we officially have a name." he puts his hands together and looks at us all waiting for us to ask,

Alexandra laughs taking a drink,"what is it The Bar?" miles gives her a sarcastic dirty look,

"no! it's Everything You've Come to Expect." he looks pleased with himself as he read it out, i started chuckling though.

alex turned to me and i murmured,"mouthful." just loud enough for him to hear. he chuckled to himself and hit my arm gently, though when he set his hand back down beside us it had moved on top of mine. i looked down at our hand now touching and then up at him, he must have felt my eyes on the side of his face as he turned to me and smiled, this boy, man even. i hadn't even known him for a day but god was i loving it, though when i thought to myself about it i didn't actually know him at all.

i was Clueless yet something in me needed it, screamed for it like a child. a sucker for attention maybe i am but i wasn't going to miss a chance with a man who was exactly my type.

it hadn't even crossed my mind that he could have had a girlfriend, i grabbed my phone with my free hand and texted lex.

the service. FUCK! i had to speak to her because there was no way in hell i was asking miles. i nudge her foot and she looks up at me, motioning towards the toilet she eventually catches on, "come toilet jules!" she makes up and i go to follow, leaving alex's hand alone on the seat. i felt weirdly bad about it but i'd rather be safe than sorry.

as we walk off she questions our trip, "so?" i push the door open to the toilet and thankfully it was empty, lex walks up to a mirror and starts to fix her already perfect hair.

i go on my phone again and walk about the toilet to see if there's service anywhere, "might sound sudden but is alex single?" she turns to me with a wide smile,

"you like him don't you!" she exclaims,

i shrug, "i mean i won't deny i think he's attractive, but do you know if he has a girlfriend." her smile starts to fade as she thinks, me assuming the worst rushes to search it up but i still have no service.

she does the same and tries to search on her phone but has the same problem,"uhh.. i don't actually know jules, i mean last i heard he did but that was like two weeks ago so i'm not really sure not." she walks over to the window and holds her phone right up to it typing.

i sigh to myself but am just glad i found out before i took things too far, "thank you, that's all i needed to know." i walk over to her and look at her phone when i see shes gotten service and shes texted miles, MILES!? "what are you doing!?" i shouted silently praying that it still wouldn't send.

she shrugged nonchalantly,"checking?" she shows me her phone and i see the chat, it sent alright and he'd texted back,

either he likes lex or knows and is trying to cover for alex, him being a man i'm assuming the first, "just go." i shake my head and push her towards the door, making a mental note in my head.
