Somehow, Kenma's death had gotten out to the public. His fans knew, his family knew, his friends knew, and since he was a well-known gamer, his death had also been on the news.

Kenma's death felt even more real to Kuroo when the word had gotten out. A lot of people talked about it, fans or not. As usual, he just wished Kenma was there beside him.

A week or so after Kenma's death, Kuroo had gotten into the habit of going through Kenma's things after work. He would always find something new to look through and cherish, every single day. It was the only thing that actually made him feel something.

He had already gone through most of Kenma's clothes and started going through his gaming collection. He shuffled through many of the games he had on his bookshelf.

Kuroo didn't want to get rid of or store away any of Kenma's things. He wanted them to stay where they were. He even cleaned and dusted everything like Kenma usually would. He would take out some things and look at them, but he was put them back exactly how they looked before.

Kuroo didn't want to accept the fact that Kenma wasn't with him, but he had to. Even though it had already been a week, he struggled to face reality. He knew Kenma wasn't coming back, but he still had a small piece of him that knew Kenma wouldn't leave him. He still partly believed that Kenma was with him each and every day.

Everyone else had already accepted Kenma's death. The only one left was Kuroo.

After waiting for everyone to leave Kenma's funeral service, Kuroo stayed at his grave. He wanted to be with Kenma, alone. He stood there, staring down at the gravestone in front of him. Kenma was dead. He couldn't deny the fact that he was gone forever and he knew he wouldn't be coming back.

He grabbed the bouquet of flowers he had been holding the whole time. He gently placed them next to the grave in front of him. He didn't cry. He didn't feel anything. He just felt that what he had to do was necessary.

He pulled out the engagement ring he was going to propose with. Of course, now he couldn't. Kenma was gone. Although Kenma wasn't there to answer for himself, Kuroo knew what he would've said to his proposal.

He carefully took out the ring he had in his pocket. With tears in his eyes that blurred his vision, he gently placed the ring atop his grave. He knew it was what Kenma wanted.

He stared down at the grave once more. He felt the tears rolling down his cheeks. They blurred his vision just enough so Kuroo could only see the fuzzy outline of the gravestone in front of him.

The crying continued. He stayed at his grave until dark. The time had passed slowly, yet so fast at the same time because Kuroo was with the one and only person he loved. He never wanted to leave. He wanted to be there beside Kenma, through life and death.

He knelt down on both knees in front of his grave. He didn't care if his suit got dirty or not. He cracked a small smile as he read Kenma's name in front of him. The tears continued to roll down his cheeks, this time, following the outline of his small smile.

"Kenma... just come back to me..."

He wiped the tears on his sleeve.

"Just one last time."
