"Jade" I heard a familiar voice behind me making me tense up.

I picked up my drink and turned around "Zane" I said swallowing the big lump in my throat.

"Do you-" he started but I felt a hand on my wrist "stay the Fuck away from her" he gritted dragging me off. I looked up at him and smiled. I trailed my hand up to hold onto his bicep as we walked side by side.

"Thanks Nikki" I said, still a bit tense.

"Yeah, no problem" he said but then it was silent "I know what he did."

—Nikki's POV—

I was sitting at a booth watching Jade as she got up to get a drink. Me, Vince, Tommy, and Jade all decided to go out that night. Things between me and Jade were normal, sometimes it was awkward but very rarely. We were good, like how things were before.

The bartender flirted with her then gave her, her drink, and flirted some more before I saw someone appear beside her.

My jaw clenched as I realized who it was. Zane. I started to get up and climb over Vince before he pushed me back "dude. She's not yours to worry about anymore. Let. Her. Go." Vince said, but he didn't know what happened that night when she had a total breakdown in the store. He wasn't even there.

A few days after she left I ran into Zane and threatened him to tell me and when he did I beat his ass.

"Get off" I said shoving him back and successfully climbing out of the booth.

I approached them and I saw Zane's eyes get big..

"Stay the fuck away from her" I spat then walked off. Through the corner of my eye I saw her blush which made me smirk. Her hand lightly made its way to my bicep. She wrapped her arm around my bicep as we kept walking.

"Thanks Nikki" she said and her voice was still shaken.

"Yeah no problem" I said, then it went back to silence. So much for it not being too awkward "I know what he did" I spoke up and looked down at her.

"Im sorry" she whispered.

"Hey, there's nothing to be sorry about you tried to stop it but that bastard couldn't-"

"He gave me something to drink and I didn't know what was in it and then all of the sudden I felt dizzy and I couldn't walk straight, I could barley see" she said in one breath, her voice cracking at the end like she might cry "a-and I was scared Nikki and I just feel like it my fault....like if I never drank it, it never would've happened" she cried.

I looked around and pulled her into and empty booth. I sat next to her and I wiped off her tears with my thumb.

"So your saying he drugged you?" I asked.

"I-I think" she sniffed "I'm not sure."

All of the sudden I felt guilty. If I never would of left then it never would of happened and she'd be safe. She was my girl and it was my job to make sure she was safe.

"I never should of left you" I whispered looking into her eyes.

"It's not your fault" she also whispered.

"It's not yours either"

She rolled her eyes and pulled me into a hug. I closed my eyes and rested my chin on top of hers.

"I regret leaving you Nikki" she pulled away from the hug and rested her hands on her thighs "I think it's one of the stupidest things I've ever done" she laughed trying to cover up the sadness and regret.

"It was for your career Jade, I understand"

Even though at the time I might of caused something but the more she was gone the more I did understand.

She looked away from me and at the empty seat in front of us "I quit" she said and my eyebrows furrowed "what?"

I couldn't believe it. There's no way, I mean she would always talk about how she hated it but everyone knew that she loved it.

"I quit. I'm not longer a model anymore. Done." She sighed.

"Jade-"

"I just....I don't— traveling was fun but I don't wanna have to do that all the time you know? I wanna stay here and chill, hey maybe I can be a bartender" she winked playfully.

"Couldn't you just tell Holly you wanted to stay here and not travel" I asked.

"Yeah but where's the fun in that?" She said "plus I don't wanna have to leave again."

"Man stop eye fucking my sister" Tommy said.

Jade was out on the dance floor with duff and it was very obvious that Vince was eye fucking her.

"Unlike Nikki, I have to imagine" Vince closed his eyes and leaned his head back, making Tommy groan and making me roll my eyes.

"Yeah, one day we walked in and he was doing her in the living room" Axl smirked "oh my gosh Nikki!" He said in a girl voice, moaning, making Vince laugh "yeah I remember that, hey Niki, is that only place you fucked her on the couch before you stupidly left her" Vince asked.

"Don't answer that" Tommy said as if he were going to throw up "every room every surface" I said making the boys holler.

"Ew. Gross dude, that's my sister" Tommy hit me.

"Hey all I'm gonna say though Axl" Vince started then threw back his drink "A few years back we were playing who would you rather bone and she chose you over me and she was all 'I mean have you heard rocket queen'" Vince said making Axl smirk.

I never used jade for sex, it was beyond that. I loved her and I would of waited or not even have sex with her if that's what she wanted. I would of waited a lifetime for her, but I fucked it all up. I mean I could wait for her still, it's not like her and Duff were gonna get married....right?

Jade and Duff came back to the table and they both sat down, Duff slinger an arm around her looking at me then at Jade as if to rub their relationship in my face.

"Hey Jade" Axl leaned towards her "someone told me you had a little rocket queen fantasy" he winked at her.

"Oh did they" She glared at Vince "Yeah" Axl said falling over slash and making kissing faces at Jade.

"Oh fuck off" She laughed "Yeah I said that, so what?" She said taking a sip of her drink.

"Why don't you let me show you" he flicked his tongue "Ok and that's that" Duff said pushing Axl back.

"Oh come on you don't wanna share Duffy boy?"

"No I don't wanna share my girlfriend"

"Selfish" Axl rolled his eyes and I did too.

My eyes fell on Jade and when she turned her head to look at me she just smiled then but her lip and looked down into her lap.
