I woke up the next day and sighed. I sat up and then looked around my room. I grabbed my zanpakuto and headed out. I ran into Cody who smiled down at me weakly. 

"What's wrong?" He asked. 

"They pushed up Rukia's execution date...it's in 14 days." He murmured. I sighed and he hugged me tightly. 

"They also moved her to the repentance cell." He murmured. I nodded and tears went down my face. Then I heard a mandatory meeting for captains. 

"Tiger-Lilly Kuchiki please report also." The speaker said. Cody glanced at me and I shrugged. 

"Go." He murmured. He kissed me and then I took off quickly. I got there and pushed the door open quietly. 

"I'm sorry I'm late sir." I said bowing. 

"Come up here Tiger-Lilly." Yamamoto said. I nodded and came up to him and stood almost in front of him but off to the right side a little bit. 

"Since the captain of squad 13 is out sick again someone has put your name up as a substitute. So I give you this for the time being." He said handing me the uniform coat. I took my place in line and then the door opened up behind me. 

"So you're here captain of squad 3, Gin Ichimaru." Yamamoto said. I looked back and saw Gin walk in. 

"An unexpected summonses, tell me should I be appalled or impressed. And look at this distinguished crowd. The captains who control the Soul Society. All here just for me or am I mistaken? I see the captain of squad 13 is absent. What's wrong did something happen to him?" He asked. He saw me and I saw his eyes widened slightly in surprise. 

"He's not feeling very well." Tōsen said. 

"Oh not again. I hope he gets well soon." Gin said. 

"Quit joking around you know that's not the reason you were summoned here. It's my understanding that you went and played with that intruder by yourself, didn't you? I also hear you failed. Explain. You should be able to deal with five or six without a problem." Zenpachi said. I froze. 

"I see then you are saying that they survived." Gin said. 

"What?" Zenpachi asked. 

"I was under the impression that he was dead. I guess my instincts are starting to fail me." Gin said. Then another captain got into it and then they argued. I stared at them and I saw Tōshirō was.

"Stop! Enough of this foolishness! I think the true reason you have been summoned here before your peers has been made clear. It is the fact that you acted alone. How do you defend your actions?" Yamamoto said. I thought Gin would surely say he had me with him. 

"I cannot. Well you see there's nothing to say. I made a simple mistake I'm not going to stand here and make excuses. I'll accept any punishment." He said. 

"Wait a minute Ichimaru. I have something I want to ask you first." Aizen asked. I glanced at him and nodded. Then the alarm sounded a red alert. I glanced at Toshiro and he looked at me. 

"Intruders?" Aizen asked.

"It couldn't be..." Zenpachi said. Then the alarms sounding off Zenpachi took off.

"Hey! Wait Zenpachi!" Aizen said. 

"This squad leader meeting is temporary dismissed. I will notify you later of Ichimaru's status. All squads proceed to internal defense positions immediately." Yamamoto said. They all headed out and I went over to Tōshirō. He looked at me and then nodded towards the door where Aizen and Gin were standing. We started walking slowly towards the door. 

"It seems the alarm sounds at quite the right time these days." Aizen said. 

"I'm not sure I understand. What are you trying to say?" Gin asked. 

"Do you think that excuse will work? You best not underestimate me." Aizen said. Tōshirō and I had stopped next to Aizen and I glanced over at them both behind Toshiro. Then as soon as Toshiro and I got outside we started to run. We went and took our positions. I looked at the squad who stared at me confused. 

"I'm just temporary don't worry." I said.

"What are your orders captain?" The lieutenant asked. 

"Just get ready in case that thing comes down over here." I said. They nodded and prepared themselves. I watched the thing as it hit and then it went through the shield. 

"What the hell?" I muttered. The crowd behind me was staring at the shield in shock before the thing dissolved but something shot off in 4 different directions. 

"What are you orders Captain?" I heard someone shout. 

"Go and search. Try to find them..." I said. They nodded and then scattered. I sighed and rubbed my forehead. Ichigo what have you gotten yourself into? After walking around for a short while I looked up and saw fireworks.

"Fireworks?" I muttered confused as someone slammed into me. 

"Hey watch where-" I snapped but then I looked up at the face and saw Cody.

"Cody." I smiled. He stared down at me with wide-eyes.

"Yes captain." He chuckled. I smiled and kissed him lightly. 

"I'm a temp for squad 13." I said.

"But what about their second in command...never mind." He said as I gave him this skeptical look. Everyone knew that squad 13's lieutenants were stupid mindless. 

"Yes so have you sent your temporary squad to look?" He asked. I nodded. 

"Yes, doesn't mean they will find him. I know Ichigo and he won't be found if he doesn't want to be." I said. 

"You want to find him before a captain or a lieutenant can, don't you?" He asked. I nodded as my thoughts went out to Gin. I sighed. 

"Let’s go...we can say that we are looking for them...which aren’t exactly a lie." I smiled.

"Tiger-Lilly..." He murmured. 

"As one of the 13 court guard squads I command you to follow me so we can find the intruder and bring them to Head Captain Yamamoto ourselves!" I said. He chuckled and kissed me on the cheek which made my serious facade fade. 

"Of course Captain Kuchiki." Cody said. I smiled at him and we started running. We ran across dead end after dead end and I was starting to become frustrated. 

"Roof?" Cody asked. I nodded and we both jumped onto the roof. 

"If I know them they are going to be going to save my sister." I murmured. Cody nodded.

"So we go to the repentance cell?" He asked. 

"Yes but..." I said. 

"But what?" He asked. I stopped walking and I sighed looking up at the cell that held Rukia. 

"The thing that came through the shield split off into 4 different things.....which one was Ichigo?" I asked. 

"I...don't know." Cody muttered. I sighed and shook my head. 

"Now this is the suck ass part." I muttered. Cody and I jumped from roof to roof seeing if we could see a orange head fighting off anyone but no such luck.

"How are they not being found...?” I said. Cody shrugged.

"I can't feel his spiritual pressure which is weird." Cody murmured. We kept searching till the sun started to drop. I looked around and then felt an immense wave of spiritual pressure. I looked at Cody and he nodded. We headed towards the direction it was in. When we got there we saw that Renji and Ichigo were battling. I watched not believing my eyes. 

"Tiger-Lilly!" Cody said. He grabbed me around the waist and pulled me to another roof. I blinked. 

"Crap." I muttered. I shook my head and watched the battle closely. As the sun set I saw them both standing there and then the next thing I knew Ichigo had his sword raised and it was glowing. 

"We have to go get help." He whispered. I looked back. 

"Go alert that you think that Renji is in trouble because you sensed a decrease in his spiritual pressure drastically and tell them I was with you but went ahead to see what was going on." I said. He nodded. He kissed me longingly and then hurried off. I saw Renji fall and then a few seconds after that Ichigo passed out as well. After a few seconds they picked Ichigo up and left. I jumped down to Renji and lifted his head lightly. 

"Renji can you hear me?" I murmured as I heard footsteps. I looked up to see Izuru. He was the lieutenant of squad 3. 

"Renji!" He called. 

"He's out cold! We need squad 4 now!" I commanded. Someone nodded and ran back. I felt Cody beside me and I sighed. I started doing some light kido healing as they brought people from squad 4. They took him away and I looked at the damage to everything.

"I can't believe that Renji lost." Izuru said. 

"I know..." I murmured.

"Were you here in time to help him at all?" Izuru asked. 

"No...I showed up when they disappeared around the corner. I didn't see where they went because I was worried about how Renji was doing." I said. Izuru nodded. We followed them to where they took him and I saw Momo talking to Izuru followed by my brother. 

"Take him to prison. I have no reason to have him when he cannot follow simply instructions of not defeating someone as an intruder in battle." He said. 

"Byakuya surely you don't-" I said.

"You may be a captain now Tiger-Lilly but I am still your older brother you will still speak to me with respect." He snapped. I stood there shocked as he walked away from me. Momo shouted something and then Izuru stopped her. He glanced back at us and then they both bowed. He raised his eye brow at me. I turned my head in disgust and then I heard his footsteps walk away. I shook my head in disgust and I turned to walk out the other side of the room and I saw Gin Ichimaru. I tensed up immediately and Momo and Izuru realized a few seconds later. 

"Captain Ichimaru!" Momo said. I looked at Gin and nodded. He smiled at me.

"It suits you." He muttered. I blushed slightly. 

"Sixth squad captain always acts like that. Don't worry about it. I'll get word to Squad 4. Come with me Izuru." Gin said. 

"Yes sir." Izuru said. He followed him out and I sighed and rubbed my forehead. 

"My stupid brother..." I murmured. 

"Wow, Renji got messed up pretty good." Tōshirō said. 

"Ahhh!" Momo and I squealed. He was standing at Momo's back looking down at Renji. 

"Tōshirō!" Momo said. 

"Hey I'm a captain and you're going to address me like that?" Tōshirō asked. 

"Never mind that! Why are all you captain sneaking up on us all the time! Why are you here anyway Tōshirō?" Momo asked. I glanced at him and he smiled at me weakly. 

"Yes why are you here without Rangiku?" I asked. 

"I came to warn you two." He said. 

"About what?" Momo asked. 

"Beware of Squad 3." He said. 

"Izuru's squad? Why?" Momo asked. 

"He means Ichimaru." I murmured. 

"But I'm not sure about Kira..." Toshiro said. I looked at Toshiro and he gave me this look. I knew what he was referring to. He was referring to earlier that day when Aizen and Gin were talking to each other at the Captain's meeting. 

"Anyway it's better to be careful." Toshiro said. I nodded. Then he looked at me.

"Captain's meeting now." He murmured. 

"Alright led the way." I said. I followed him out of the room and then to the meeting room of squad one. 

"The situation is critical. This means we are short one Lieutenant in the thirteen court guard squads. We can no longer leave this to the lower-ranked members and in view of the situation I will look over Ichimaru's actions from before." Yamamoto said. 

"Thank you." Gin said. 

"I am permitting all top officers including lieutenants to carry their zanpakuto as well as allow full release of their zanpakuto in the court as in wartime." Yamamoto said. Then everyone had some little comment to add because they were just so happy about this because we don't get to do it a lot around here. 

"Men this is all out war." He said. We nodded adn then we were dismissed. We walked out and I headed to my room. I met Cody and smiled at him.

"How was your first day as Captain?" He asked. 

"Tiring." I murmured.

"Then I'll let you get your rest." He murmured. 

"Thanks. I'll see you later." I said. 

"Alright." He smiled. He bent down and kissed me lightly. 

"I love you." I murmured opening up the door to my room.

"I love you too." He smiled. I went into my room and undressed and got ready for bed. I sat down on the edge of my bed in a cute robe and sighed rubbing my eyes lightly. I then laid down in bed and fell asleep.
