Your POV

Tick tock, tick tock

Those were the only sounds I heard when I woke up. I'm all alone in my room, no one is here. I can't feel my body at all, after all the burns I got. My whole body is wrapped in bandages.

Tick tock

I'm so bored right now. I wish Ace is alright. I also hope all of my friends are, too. I can't stand being alone with nothing to do in this boring hospital but I can't do anything about it. I can't even move. I sigh. I want to go see Ace...I wish I could. Might as well go to sleep.

I slowly close my eyes. I hear my steady breath as I lay in the bed.

There were sudden footsteps in my room and my eyes suddenly jerked open.

"I see your finally awake," the woman walking in, which I assume is a nurse, says. "You've been out for 2 weeks."

"2 weeks?!" I shouted. I started to cough and the nurse quickly ran to my side.

"Shhh. Don't talk too loud. Your throat is also damaged from all the smoke."

I calm down and tried to even my breath. "Hey, can you carry me to Ace's room? I want to see him," the words slipped out of my mouth, and I blushed a little. "He's my friend, so I want to see if he's ok," I automatically responded afterwards.

"Sorry, but no. You should be resting. Your burns are very severe so you should stay in bed. I don't think I'm allowed to do that," the nurse says apologetically. 

I sigh. "It's fine. Just tell me if he's ok," I asked worriedly.

"Well, his stomach wound opened up again after he tried to run after you and I got worse because he forced his body to keep moving. It's bad but not as bad as your wounds. He's about to recover now but he is still in bed."

I calmed down and I closed my eyes. The nurse walked out the room and closed to door on her way out. I was all alone again. I didn't really feel like sleeping so I started to sing softly.

I smiled as I sang (I love this song xD Sorry if you don't :(). It fit the mood perfectly. I continued to sing.

I kept on singing and soon after, before I knew it, I went to sleep.

A soft touch on my nose woke me up.

"Ah!" My eyes fluttered open and I saw Ace's face near mine. I immediately turned bright red. "A-Ace! What are you doing here?" I looked at his dark eyes and his cute freckles and turned a darker shade of red.

"What's with you turning red all of a sudden? You got a fever when you just woke up?" He pressed his forehead on mine. "Your forehead feels normal. What happened then?"

I blushed so hard I could've passed out. "Wh-what are you doing?" I tried to move my head away but I was laying down so I couldn't. He finally moved his head up and looked down at me. 

"You are so confusing, (y/n). You keep turning redder. I won't even understand how your body functions. You clearly look like you have a fever but you don't." He sighs. "Well, the only thing that matters now is that you don't have a fever and that your healing." He climbed on my bed and lay down next to me. He put one of his arms around me and hugged me but not too tightly.

"A-Ace?! Why do you keep doing this?" I blushed fifty shades of red. 

"Doing what? I'm just trying to help you. Right now I'm trying to keep you company."

I turned my head away from him so he will stop looking at my flustered face.

The door bursts open. "(Y/n)!" A feminine voice shouts, running inside. "I brought you some-what the hell are you two doing?!" Nami looks at Ace and I in bed together.

"I-it's not what it looks like!" I whipped my head to face her with my embarrassed face.

"Were you two sleeping together?!" She was in shock.

"N-no! I told you! It's not what it looks like! He just came to visit and climbed on my bed for no reason!" 

"I went on your bed to keep you company," Ace says casually as he looks me in the eyes.

"You deciding to sleep with her for the night?" Nami smirked.

"Maybe."

I blushed the darkest shade of red ever.

Nami was laughing evilly. "I just came to give you some flowers." She walked up to the desk next to my bed and placed the flower vase on it. "Hope you get better soon! By the way, we aren't going to school for a while because they're fixing the school building. It's feels like summer vacation already!" She giggles happily. "I guess I should be leaving now. You two can keep each other company when your alone," she smirks at us and exits the room.

I felt so embarrassed and just decided to go to sleep again. Ace went to sleep while Nami was talking. I could feel his warm breath in my ear. He still looks so cute when he's sleeping. I sighed at his handsome face and blushed. I soon went to sleep myself.

-Timeskip- 

Day after day my friends visited me and kept me company for a little while. When Ace visited, he was always the one to stay the longest. Whenever a friend left, I immediately felt bored. 

My body started to work again but it kind of hurt to move so I kept still. I slept, talked, slept, talked, and the cycle went on.

When I finally recovered, I moved all my body parts. It feels so good to move again. They were a little sore but I didn't care. I hopped out of bed and slipped on the hospital slippers. I started to walk but I almost fell. It's hard to walk after a month of not moving. I wobbled to the door and walked out the hospital without anyone noticing. I finally got the hang of walking so I started to run. 

I ran to my house and remembered that my keys were in my backpack. My backpack was probably burned in the fire. I started to panic but remembered that I had a backup key I buried in my front yard, just in case. I start to dig on the spot my key was supposed to be in. I kept digging until I hit something hard. I dug it out and wiped off the dirt. It was the key so I opened the door to my house. It was a surprise it still worked.

"Finally, home sweet home." I sniffed my house, taking in all the scent of my precious house. "It smells so good..." I walked to my room and flopped on my bed. "So soft and comfy..." I took my pillow and squeezed it tight. I heard footsteps and I tensed. Is there a burglar in my house? I took an umbrella in the corner of my room and held it in a fighting position.

"(Y/n)!! You there? Your door was left open so I decided to come in! If you're not (y/n), then come on out and fight me! You're probably a burglar instead!" A familiar voice says.

"I'm here! Who is it?" I yelled from my room.

"(Y/n)!!" I saw a blur of someone coming towards me. I let go of my umbrella and stood there. Suddenly, I felt like I was choking to death.

"(Y/n)! I can't believe your ok!" I saw the dark raven haired boy's arms were squeezing me and I could hear crying. 

"Luffy...your...choking me..." I said weakly.

"Oh, sorry (y/n). I didn't mean to," he said with concern. "Did I hurt you?" He looked so cute with a concerned face. He looked just like a sad puppy.

"Nah, I'm fine now." I say, smiling and patting his head.
