Dario's POV:

It's been 3 days since we found Mapi. Gabriel was discharged and will make a full recovery. He also now has a date, but is going to wait till Mapi is better.

The nurse respects that. She seems like a good one. 

"Where's Elena?" I smirked.

"Working." Gabriel sat next to me. 

"Where's Luna?"

"With the police. Trying to speed up the investigation for Mapi." 

"Aw she's a good noodle."

I laughed. "How are you feeling?"

"Like I got hit by a bus." He said. I stared at him. "Too soon?" 

"You are such a pain in my ass." I laughed. "I'm happy you're alright. I don't know what I'd do without you, junior." I sighed.

"I don't know what you'd do without me either." He smirked.

Nahikari walked in. "How are you?" Viriginia stood up.

"Exhausted." She looked at us. "You guys ok?"

"Yeah. We're worried about Mapi. And you." I said.

"I'll be fine." She smiled. "How's the arm?" 

"Broken." Gabriel said. "But I'll live." 

"Well I was just on my way to see Mariana. Thought I'd check on you. How are my girls?"

"They just went home with Jenni and Alexia. Get some rest, some food."

"Good." Nahikari smiled.

"I'll go with you." Gabriel stood up.

Gabriel's POV:

We got to Mapi's room and stood around. "Hey Mari." Nahi said.

Mariana stood up. "What is it?"

"We're going to take her off. She's breathing on her own." 

"Is that a good thing?" Mariana asked.

"That's a great thing." Nahi smiled. They came in and removed the tube. Mapi was breathing on her own. 

"When will she wake up?" Luca looked at Nahi.

"Hopefully soon." She smiled. "But you're going to have to be gentle ok? And help up while she heals."

"They help anyway." Mariana said. 

"We have no choice." Felicia said. "Have you met her?" She pointed to Mariana.

We laughed. "I'll let you guys sit with her. I have two daughters I miss very much." Nahi smiled.

"Thanks, Nahi. For everything."

"You're family." She left the room.

My phone rang. It was my agent. "I have to take this." I said and stepped outside. "Hey."

"Gabriel. How are you doing?"

"Better. My arm is healing but everything is fine."

"Good I want to talk about next season."

"Why?"

"Because you got an offer. And I think you should consider it."

I sighed. "Where?"

"Real Madrid."

Mariana's POV:

Luca fell asleep against Felicia. Jordana was laying on my lap. I sat and held Mapi's hand. The door opened and Gabriel walked in. "How is she?" He asked.

"Fine. Who was on the phone?" 

"My agent. I'll deal with it tomorrow." He sighed and sat down, moving Jordana to his lap. "Anything?"

"No." I sighed and rubbed my wife's hand. "Come on my love. Wake up for me. I miss that smile of yours." I whispered. 

Jordana started to wake up and looked at Gabriel. "You're comfortable."

"Thanks. It's a Mendes trait. You'll be a good pillow one day too." He smiled.

"Awesome." She said. "Can you take me to get food?" 

He laughed. "Sure." They got up and left. 

I stared at Mapi. "They're all older now. But I still need you by my side. Come back to me. Please. I always came back to you. You owe me one." I stood up and brushed the hair out of her eyes. 

"Romantic." I turned and saw Leila. "Mind if I sit with her?"

"I'm annoyed you asked that question."

Leila laughed and sat down on Mapi's other side. "I need you to wake up, Mapi." She whispered. "If I found your sooner than maybe you'd-"

"Hey." I stopped her. "Don't blame yourself." I said. "You're not the one who shot her. There was nothing you could've done. You found her. You did all you could. You know if she finds out you blamed yourself for this, she'll kill you right?"

Leila laughed and wiped her face. "I'd pay for her to kill me. Cause she'd be awake."

I rubbed the side of Mapi's face. The cuts on her face aren't as bad anymore. "My love." I sighed. "Please come back to me. I'm gonna find whoever tried to take you from me, and I'm going to kick their ass." I said. "No one fucks with my wife." I kissed her forehead.

"You really love me." Mapi mumbled. 

"Holy shit." I stepped back. 

"Surprise." Mapi groaned. "I feel like shit. What happened?" She looked around. "Leila? You're crying."

The door opened and Gabriel walked in. "So Elena, that's my nurse friend right? She got us these sandwiches, holy shit Mapi you're alive." 

"Mom!" Jordana smiled. Luca and Felicia woke up.

"Mom!"

"My babies." Mapi smiled. 

Felicia's POV:

"Wait what happened to your arm?" Mom looked at Gabriel.

"Car accident."

"His nurse friend?"

"Oh yeah, our lovely oldest decided to flirt with the nurse while he was in the hospital."

"And?" She looked at him.

"Got her number." He smiled.

"That's my boy." She smiled. She looked up at mama. "What?"

"I want to be upset that you're encouraging this, but I'm just so happy to hear your voice." Mama leaned over and kissed her.

"Gross." Luca said. I elbowed him. 

"Leave them alone." 

"I'll go get Nahi." Leila left. 

"Nahi?"

"Yeah, she's been taking care of you." Mama smiled.

Nahikari walked in. "Look who decided to wake up."

"What happened to me, Garcia?"

We laughed. "Someone shot you. I'm sure the detective will have questions but for now, just rest up ok? You gave us quite the scare."

"I thought I was going to lose you." Mama said quietly.

"All the times I almost lost you, I didn't. Face it, my love, whenever we go, we're going together."

Gabriel laughed. "Just don't go for a long time ok? I'm not looking after these 3."

"Would I have to call you dad?" Luca said.

"No you little asshole." Gabriel pushed him.

"I'll break your other arm." Luca glared.

"Try it."

"I liked it better when I was asleep." Mom sighed and closed her eyes.

Luna's POV:

"Well?" I saw Leila.

"Mapi just woke up." She smiled. "She's ok."

"Thank you." I looked over at Dario. He covered his face. Lola rubbed his back.

Mama Lola looks after everyone. "When can we see her?" Jenni asked.

"Not right now." Nahikari walked over. "Give her some time to adjust, get comfortable. She's awake but it's still a long road. Besides, Mariana needs to be with her right now. And the kids."

We all nodded. "But she's awake." I said. 

"Any idea who did this?" 

I sighed and looked at Dario. "I think so. But until they interview Mapi, we don't know. Which reminds me, I'm going to call them. Let them know to back off until she's ready to talk." I took my phone out. 

Dario stood up. "Why'd you look at me?"

"Dario."

"Who did it." He said. 

I took a deep breath. "D,"

"No. Who did it, Luna."

"I can't talk about an ongoing investigation." 

"My hands were covered in Mapi's blood. I held my hands there while trying to stop the bleeding. Someone left her there to bleed out and die alone. I want to know who did that."
