3rd person P.O.V

Ponyboy was fast asleep in his boyfriend, Dallas Winston's arms. The boys were sleeping in Ponyboy's room, while Darry and Soda were out for the night.

Ponyboy being shifting around in Dally's arms, causing a sleepy Dal to start stirring awake. But, the shifting continued to get worse, and Pony began talking in his sleep, and that's what woke Dal up.

"Pone", Dally said sitting up and placing his hand on Pony's shoulder gingerly.

"Pony, wake up. C'mon man", but nothing seemed to wake up the struggling boy underneath Dally's arm.

After a few minutes of Ponyboy shifting and mumbling, he jolted up, screaming "no", and was sobbing violently.

"Pone", Dally said, his hand on the boy's trembling shoulder.

Ponyboy turned over to his lover, and burried his head into the older boy's chest, soaking his bare chest with salty tears.

"I-it was so real Dal", Pony sobbed out. Dally obly held the boy closer to him, pulling him into his lap and stroking his hair. "What happened?"

Pony lifted his head, and wiped away the tears brimming his eyes, "I-I was back in the church, but it was just me, a-and you and Johnny were trying to get a window opened, but the church crumbled and I died there."

"It's okay baby, it was just a nightmare. Ill always be here to protect you", Dally cooed, cupping the young boy's face, wiping the remainder of tears on Pony's face.

"I know", Pony said leaning his face closer to Dal's, bumping their foreheads.

Dally closed the gap for a quick second, then pulled away. "Here."

Dally held his hand out with something shiny in it, and when Pony grabbed it, he realized what the object was.

"Dally", Ponyboy saod almost breathless, " your medallion. I couldn't. This means a lot to you."

Dally chuckled, "well, i want you to have it. It'll protect you, like it protects me. And don't worry about it, I have another one in my leather jacket."

Ponyboy smiled, and slipped the medallion over his blonde hair. He took the medallion part and held it in his hands, "thanks Dal."

Dally kissed the top of Ponyboy's head, "don't mention it kid."

Ponyboy erupted into laughs.

"Let's go back to sleep."
