Ruby's P.O.V:

I was back at the Quince. The music was blaring, and Olivia was dancing with me. I saw Latrell, and before i could spin Olivia around, she spun me around, so i could only call out, "Cesar". Then, there was a gunshot, and I went down. I couldnt breathe, and Olivia was calling out my name.

I jolted up, hyperventilating. I was shaking, and i started to silently cry. I grabbed my phone to check the time. It was 1:04 in the morning. I got out of my bed, and quickly left my room.

I grabbed some shoes and began walking. I didnt know where i was going, but when i saw Cesar's house from the corner, i began running. I didnt stop until i reached the front door.

"Cesar", i yelled knocking on the door. The door opened, and i saw a tired, worried Cesar. He looked cute when he's tired.

"Ruby, what happened? Are you alright?" I shook my head and he cupped my face, and pulled me in for a hug, and put one hand on my head, and the other around my neck. I wrapped my hands around his torso, and began sobbing into his shoulder.

"I-I had a nightmare about the Quince. And I dont know what to do. So i came here." Cesar pulled away, and wiped away my tears. I grabbed onto his hands, which were still on my face.

"Ruby", Cesar said, "we should go inside." I nodded and followed him into his room and sat down on his bed.

We sat there for a few minutes in a comfortable silence before Cesar said something.

"Do you wanna talk about it? I mean the dream", Cesar asked, rubbing his hand up and down my back. I couldnt help but feel my stomach fill with butterflies. I was glad it was dark, so he couldn't see me blushing.

I almost forgot that Cesar asked me a question, because he was still staring at me. "Oh, yeah. Um, we were at the Quince, and we were dancing, and i saw Latrell. I yelles your name, then Latrell shot me and Olivia. And Olivia was calling out for me, and i couldnt breathe."

I felt Cesar get closer to me. I moved closer to him, and I could barely make out his facial structures woth the dim street light from his window. His hand was on my knee, and the other was on my face.

He was moving closer, and i moved clossr too. Our foreheads touched, and i could hear his breathing. Finally, the gap was filled, and when our lips connected, it felt like fireworks. It lasted a while, then we pulled away.

"W-wow", i said. That was the first time i felt something from kissing someone. Then it hot me, and i guess it hit Cesar too.

"Monse", we both said at the same time.
