43 LOUI

Micah did not return that night. And I did not get any sleep, I kept thinking about our fight, but the next morning I still had no idea what to do.

During my classes, I could not concentrate at all and that evening, when I still had not seen Micah the whole day, I decided that I needed to distract myself.

I should get drunk.

I know, that won't solve any of my problems and usually I was not much of a drinker, but for Micah, it worked all the time, so why not try it?

I called Gavin and he suggested to go to a club. I agreed and he picked me up.

When we arrived, I saw that it was a gay club. I had never been to one before, but tonight I really did not care. I just wanted to get drunk and forget about that fight with Micah for a while. I had been thinking about it for 24 hours straight, now I deserved a break.

Entering the club, my confidence left, though and I did not feel comfortable.

"You okay?", Gavin asked and I nodded, but I did not look very believable, so he put his hand on my shoulder: "Come on, after a few drinks you'll feel better."

He was right and it actually worked. I did feel better, enough to get on the dancefloor and actually dance. Even with a few guys. Gavin did, too, and he found a boy to make out with, but I kept dancing.

Eventually, I saw Gavin wink at me, leaving with that guy.

I finished a drink someone had bought, but then I noticed how I was really too drunk. I could not walk straight anymore and the music and the flashing lights made me feel dizzy.

I stumbled through the room and outside, where I sat on the floor.

Feeling even dizzier now, I eventually suceeded to take my phone out of my pocket and to call someone.

"Hello?", Micah answered the phone.

"Oops", I giggled, finding this somehow very funny. I had not noticed that I had picked his number.

"Loui?"

"Yeeeeesss?"

"Are you drunk?"

"Noooooo", I shook my head and when I stopped my surroundings were jumping up and down. I blinked a few times, then I concentrated on Micah's voice again.

"Where are you?"

"Ummm", I frowned and looked around. "At some club ... a gay club."

"What ... never mind, I'm picking you up, stay where you are!", with that, he ended the call.

I stared at my phone screen for a while, fascinated by the light, then I lay down, becoming very very tired.
