I followed Gavin and he lead me into the forest.

"Where are we going?", I asked confused and he answered without stopping: "I want to show you something."

He took my hand and pulled me with him, until we arrived at a tiny beach, a part of the lake that could not be seen from the main beach. Trees covered it, so that it looked like a beautiful cave and there was no sun.

Gavin climbed on a rock and I sat next to him. We had a great view on the lake from here.

"You can swim here", Gavin said after a while and jumped back down, so that he stood in front of me.

"No, I'm fine", I smiled.

"Come on", Gavin tried again, stepping closer to me and taking my hands in his.

I shook my head, but somehow Gavin's face was really close now and he whispered: "Take that beanie off."

"I-i, no ...", I stuttered.

"You have nothing to be afraid of", Gavin promised and suddenly I was unable to breathe.

Then he abruptly took a step back and pulled down the zip of his hoodie, revealing that he did now wear anything underneath it. I could not help but stare at his toned chest while he took his hoodie off completely.

A grin spread on Gavin's face: "Hey, look up!"

I blushed and looked up, to see cat ears in Gavin's hair.

My eyes widened as I stared at them: "Whaat ...?!"

Gavin shrugged: "There's no one else here, you can be yourself when you're with me."

I was still shocked. "But ... how did you know ... about me?"

"I know a neko if I see one", he smiled. "Now stop worrying and join me!"

With that he made a backflip into the water and I was finally able to move again.

I slowly undressed and then stepped into the water, too.

It felt weird being outside without having to hide the ears and the tail, but it felt good.

We swam around for a bit, enjoying the cool water, until Gavin eventually stopped right in front of me.

"Doesn't that feel great?", he asked and I nodded: "Yes."

"I hate hiding all the time", he continued and I laughed: "Same, I don't even like that stupid beanie."

He smiled: "You look cute with it, but even cuter like this."

I blushed and admired his ears once again. Mine were the same colour as my hair, his were lighter, like caramel.

"Now it feels even better to be with you", he whispered and looked me in the eyes. I felt his soft tail touch my arm and I shivered. He gently touched my cheek and started playing with my hair with one hand.

Slowly leaning in I looked from his eyes to his lips, that suddenly brushed over mine softly, then Gavin put his hand on my lower back and pulled me closer to kiss me properly.
