Kara and yourself were running around in her house, you chasing her when you both felt Krypton shake violently.

Next thing you knew Kara was being taken by her father and you being taken by yours.

"Dad! Dad! What's going on?" You asked over and over but no reply.

"There's no time to explain, you will take this pod and land on Earth" He said.

"What's about Kara and mom and you" You said as he closed the pod without answering you. You saw him giving you a sad smile before the ship launched.

You watched around you as Krypton began to deteriorate before your eyes. Tears welled in them as you realised that both your parents and quite possibly Kara, were still on the planet.

/////////

It's been around 23 , maybe 24 years, you lost track a while ago, and your pod had not yet reached Earth, you don't know why but it didn't.

You then felt a hard push and next thing you knew you were hurtling towards an unknown planet.

Thankfully you managed to land your pod safely after getting the controls and main system back up.

You opened it and got out to see yourself stranded in a strange place. Then you saw a man and another man approached you with a weird objects in their hands. The taller man pressed a part of it a loud noise came out of it.

You spoke but they didn't seem to understand you. Shortly after they spoke a language you had only heard once before, English.

You didn't understand anything because you never thought you'd have to use it.

Both the men put down the strange objects and came closer to you with great caution.

The shorter man was the first time touch you and you let him, he slowly guided you along with the taller man back into the building they came from.

//////

6 years later and the strange people took you in. They treated you like a child of their own.

They taught you English, clothed you, helped you understand your powers and use them properly and even fed you, even though they knew you needed a lot of food.

You regarded them as your parents because well that's what they were like to you.

Still though, every night you'd wonder with the tiniest bit of hope that Kara or anyone on Krypton had landed here as well.

Everyday you had training with, Samuel, the taller man and Daniel, the shorter one would help you with homework, well they would alternate on which one does what.

You didn't see why'd they had time send you to school but they said it would be better.

Half the things they teach, you knew already.

"Even their physical education is sucky dad" You said throwing a punch.

"I know it doesn't match your levels Y/n, but to make it pass as you're not from anywhere but here, you have to go to school" He said.

"I know, you and pop are always telling me that, but hey at least I get to come home to two amazing fathers" You said with a smile after hitting Samuel and successfully pinning him to the mat.

You helped him up and Daniel called you both inside to eat. You and Samuel followed him inside and went to wash up before being seated at the table.

After dinner, which as usual had laughter and talking all around the round table, you were washing dishes when Daniel approached you.

You knew the struggle the men had had over the years because of being gay and you didn't understand why it was such a problem on this planet.

But nevertheless you had already told them about Kara and that you knew she was still alive because of you soul mate mark, it would've vanished if she died on Krypton.

You even helped them stand up to homophobic people and let's just say the people who want to judge, now judge silently.

They told you about how aliens aren't really welcome either, which hurt you but you knew it was the truth.

"Need help?" He asked and you nodded.

"Do you think I'll ever find her?" You asked not looking away from the dishes.

"I think you will" He said and you looked to him with a smile spread across your face.

//////////

The next day the three of you went to the open market that they had every Saturday.

You guys split up as usual to get things done faster. Samuel going with Daniel to make sure he didn't get unnecessary things. As you were getting to a stall where you usually get all the vegetables from, you heard gunshots.

"Everyone down and no one gets hurt" A man with a mask covering his face said. You saw him go to multiple stalls and tell the person behind it something. The person then would empty all the cash they had into a bag.

Everyone was coruchijg on the ground. You frantically looked around for your dad feeling safe when you all made eye contact.

You were alone but not out of sight from your dads as the men with masks went from stall to stall.

"Gays" One man said in disgust at the sight of your father's holding hands, he cocked his gun facing it to them. As he said that two other men looked to him.

"Dude forget it, we have the money, let's go!" One of them said.

"How can we leave them! It's disgusting!" He shouted putting his index finger on the trigger. You wanted to do something but your body froze.

"Marcus! Let them be" The other man said. The man named Marcus ignored him and next thing you knew you heard a gun shot fire.

You brain shut down and everything became distorted and distant sounding.

A few minutes later and you were pulled out of your trance by the cop car sirens.

Your brain finally realised what and happened and you quite literally sprinted to your fathers.

You dropped to your knees when you saw their bodies with gun shot wounds straight in the head.

You broke down at the sight and friends who knew them came to comfort you.

A few weeks later and a funeral was organised.

A lawyer spoke with you about what they left for you. Everything. They left everything for you.

The farm, the land, the money, everything was left to you.

They had a conversation with you a while back about if they died and as much as you didn't want to hear it, you're glad you did.

They were to be buried on the land as requested. You made sure to fence off the part where their bodies lay and you only allowed certain people to go into it.

You cried yourself to sleep every night thinking about it. You hated the fact that they died because of a hate crime.

It made you sick.

You took care of the land and farm and even the house by yourself and vowed that even if you moved you would keep the land.

/////////

Five years after their deaths and you relocated to National City after Samuel and Daniel had died.

It was a an hour drive from the farm so it was perfect seeing as it was the closest place to the farm.

It was hard for you but you were fighting through it. For the past 5 years on the day of their deaths you  barely passed through the day.

You had just bought a house and you just found a job. You worked as an IT worker at L-Corp, which pays better than you thought it would.

Lena was a good boss and an even better friend. She was nothing like her brother Lex, she was caring and compassionate and kind.

You both knew each other so well that most would think you're a married couple with the way you guys are so coordinated and a lot of the time in sync.

Samuel always told you to be careful of who you tell your story to but you felt you could trust Lena and you definitely could, she had also entrusted you with her story which you were beyond thankful for.

You made your way through the building, going to Lena first as she asked you to figure out what the hell was wrong with her laptop.

You knocked and walked through the office doors, Lena always told you not to knock but you always did.

One day she gave up and said that you can knock but you should just come in straight away.

"Morning Lena" You said walking into her office.

"Morning Y/n" She said back.

She knew that today wasn't a good day for you and she hated having to call you in but you knew that she wouldn't have unless she absolutely needed to.

You started working on the laptop. About an hour later and you gave in back.

"All done, you just needed to update some of the drivers and the the laptop itself, and a few other things but you're good to go now" You said with a faint smile and got up to leave.

"I'll see you later?" She half stated, half asked.

"Yeah" You said continuing to walk to the door after packing up your things.

You had invited Lena to visit your dad's grave every year and everytime she showed, either early or on time.

As you opened the door and walked half way through the door frame you bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry" You said helping them pick up their things and picking up your own as well. Once you were both stood up you saw the person's face.

And for a brief second, the woman in front of you, looked a lot like Kara to you but you quickly brushed it off and stepped out of the way, opening the door for the blonde woman.

"Sorry again" You said leaving the office. You spent the rest of the day at home so you could make the necessary preparations to visit the graves.

As soon as the clock hit 4pm, without a word, you got up off your bed and went to L-Corp.

You made your way to Lena's office like every other time and knocked before entering. You saw her with the same blonde woman from earlier.

"Afternoon" You said to the both of them. "Sorry to interrupt but Lena are you ready?" You asked and she nodded.

"I'll be down in a minute" She said and you nodded making your way back to the car.

Not only did the blonde woman look more or less like Kara, her aura and presence made it harder to believe she wasn't. A few minutes later and Lena was approaching the car.

"Sorry" Lena apologized.

"Don't worry about it" You said starting the car and driving.

You got out the car and went to the boot, grabbing the flowers from it and the cleaning supplies.

You guys always cleaned his grave every year and the flowers were replaced every month.

"Hey there dads" You said tapping his grave as you walked to put the cleaning supplies down.

//////////

Hours later and the three of were sat in front of Samuel's grave, eating after a long few hours of thorough cleaning.

Minutes later you all got up and began to leave.

"Bye" You said and Lena and yourself for up and went into the house. Generally you guys would stay the night at the house seeing as the cleaning took a while and usually went on until late in the night.

"Who the woman from earlier?" You said in an almost teasing tone.

"Don't even, Kara's a friend and only a friend, besides you know I'm not interested in dating" She said.

You thought it to be completely coincidental that the woman not only looked like a Kara but shared her name too.

Lena noticed how quiet you got and was a little concerned.

"You good?" She asked.

"Yeah, it's just-nevermind" You said which know made Lena curious.

"What?" Lena asked.

"It's stupid" You said trying to dismiss it.

"Well I want to know anyway" Lena said.

"Your friend, Kara, she reminds me of someone I knew on Krypton. I mean even down to the name and even her aura is much like the Kara I knew" You said.

"That can't be, the woman you saw in my office isn't Krytonian. I mean, I know Kara and she can't keep a secret for shit" Lena said.

"Hmmm, well as I said it's stupid" You said.

"How would you know if it was her?" Lena asked as you both were headed upstairs.

"Well on Krypton, when you're born, you're born with a mark, either on your arm, wrist or shoulder. The person you're destined to be with is born with the same mark" You explained.

"And what would happen if more than one had the same mark? " Lena asked.

"Same thing as if two had it, you all get married. These things were normalised on Krypton" You said.

"And... What if one of you were to die?" She asked.

"Well, the make would, I don't know, sort of excruciatingly purge itself from your body. Once it's gone then you'll know" You said and Lena didn't ask much after that.

The both of you got changed and went to bed because tomorrow was a lot more work.

//////////

Tomorrow came quicker than usual and yourself and Lena began cleaning the house early as hell.

Late into the evening you both had finished cleaning the farm, house and took care of the animals.

You guys made your way in for dinner and then locked up and left.

Lena stayed at your place for the next when you got back to National City and the next day everything went back to how it was.

You headed off to L-Corp to go have lunch with Lena as always and whilst in the elevator you heard someone ask, well more of yell, for you to keep the door open.

You placed your hand in between the almost closed doors and they opened up again.

"Thank you" You heard a familiar voice say.

"Kara, right?" You said looking at the her.

"... Yeah" She said slowly and confused. "Have we met before?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm the girl that bumped into you at Lena's office" You said and then saw her face go into an expression of realisation.

"Oooh" She said and you nodded at her realisation. An awkward silence enveloped the elevator.

"How do you know my name?" Kara said breaking the silence.

"Lena" You said and she nodded and went back to looking straight ahead.

As you guys were about to reach the floor of Lena's office. The elevator stopped and the lights went out.

"Just great" You heard Kara say into the darkness. You put on the flashlight from your phone and going to Lena's contact.

Around 5 minutes later and the call was done.

"Well this'll be fun" You said. You sat down and Kara looked at you. We're gonna be here awhile, might as well get comfortable " You said and she sat down opposite you.

"What's wrong?" Kara asked.

"The main power source for L-Corp exploded, they don't know how but they're trying to get the back ups running but Lena says that it'll be around an hour or two." You said and Kara sighed.

A few minutes went by and nothing was said.

"You from around here?" You said breaking the silence because of how uncomfortable it was.

"Yeah, I was born and raised in Midvale, you?" Kara said. You could tell she was lying but you said nothing of it.

"Nope but a piece of land thats not far from National City, never knew the area though" You said.

"How'd you not know the area? Did no one ever say it?" She said.

"Nope and I never asked, we simply just lived there" You said truthfully.

"Huh" Kara said. "Favourite colour?" She asked and you laughed. "What? It's the only thing I can think of" She said chuckling.

"Red, any shade" You said.

"I don't really have one, I think all are nice" She said.

"Never met anyone who thinks that before" You said. "Well one person, but she died, I think,I don't know honestly" You added on.

Each time this blonde woman spoke, she was more and more like the Kara you knew back on Krypton.

"I'm sorry to hear that" She said and you gave her a small smile.

You guys both spent the last hour just talking and asking random questions.

Eventually you were thinking about just flying out of the elevator but then you remembered the other person in the elevator as well.

"Screw this" You said looking for the elevator's vent.

"What are you doing?" Kara asked standing up.

"Getting us out of here" You said pushing the vent open. You jumped up and gripped the sides before pulling yourself up and then looking through the square hole putting your hand through.

"Come on" You said with an ammused smile. Kara ignored your hand and did the same thing you did. You gave her an impressed look but it faded quickly when you saw the mark on her arm.

You brushed it off as your brain playing tricks on you.

"Now what do we do, the next floor is at least 20 feet more" Kara said. You looked at you options.

You could try climbing and risk falling and getting seriously injured or you could fly you both up, exposing you to a stranger than potentially hates aliens or exposing yourself to the one person you spent years looking for.

"Can you trust me?" You asked.

"We just met but I suppose" She said and you went closer to her.

"Ok, hold onto me" Yous aid and she have you a skeptical look. "Just do it" You said and she placed her hands around your neck and you placed your hands on her waist.

"Ok, now don't freak out or try to kill me after this ok" You said and before she could ask why you blasted off from the ground up to the next floor.

Next thing you knew you felt her push away from you, most likely because of shock.

You immediately stopped midway but you didn't see her falling, Kara was right in the air with you.

This only confirmed that she was actually the Kara you knew from Krypton.

"Rao" You started. "It is you" You said with tears welling in your eyes. You thought she had died on Krypton.

"I'm sorry but I'm a little confused" She said and you chuckled.

"I-uh" You started not knowing how to say it. Kara waited for you to finish. As few minutes of silence and instead of trying to put it in words you showed her a strange mark on your skin and she gasped.

"Y/n" She said and you nodded. Next thing you knew the blonde was hugging you so tight, you thought even your much stronger Kryptonian bones would break.

"I thought you died on Krypton" She said.

"Likewise, I just- I don't know, I never thought I'd fund you" You said with a smile.

You both flee up to the floor a few minutes later, knowing that if anyone looked down the elevator shaft, it'd be weird to see two floating humans.

Nevertheless you guys just ended up floating by the opening, looking very lovestruck which probably wasn't smart but you both were never this happy before.

"Y/n? Kara?" You both heard Lena say and your heads shot to her with wide eyes.

...Kara was screwed.
