A BOY WAS SITTING BY THE LOCKERS, holding his knees to his chest.

"Hey Gus, you okay?" "I-I messed up bad, Luz. Willow just needed with this pixie problem, right. So I thought, oh! That I'll just lure them away with illusion. But then..." "that angered the pixies, and they attacked Willow. I heard." The Latina girl said sadly.

"I moved up two grades! What's the point of being good at is if I can't do anything good with it?" "It was an honest mistake. Besides, Willow's tough as nails. I'm sure you'll both be feeling better tomorrow." The girl said, cheering the boy with dark skin a bit.

Turns out it didn't exactly work, the boy was laying in the middle of his room, groaning in annoyance.

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS RUINS

CHANGE OF POV:
THRID PERSON

"No wonder why Gus didn't say anything the chat today. I was wondering." Y/n said, laying upside down from the chair, Luz was sitting on the floor, cleaning up the room a little bit.

Luz explained the situation that Gus said at Hexside, Gus and Willow wasn't chatting in the chat much since usually they are the conversation starters, which made Y/n ask Luz about it.

"Yeah, so just try to be there for him when we are back to Hexside." Luz said, standing back up on her feet.

"But still, any clue about the portal?" Luz asked, Y/n shook her head, "I am going to the castle today, you?" "I'm off to somewhere." "Where?" Y/n asked. Grabbing her uniform as she started packing.

"Just somewhere in town, y'know?" Luz laughed awkwardly, "you need to go to Gus to get his library card to visit Amity am I right?" "AND! Look for that book that Mrs. Clawthorne said."

Luz stood still, sweating. She was suppose to find more and study about more the portal and clean the room. "Alright go! You better go quick, I think Gus won't be home soon. And I'll take care of this later." Y/n laughed and pointed at the room.

"Thank you! You're a lifesaver!" Luz hugged Y/n as she rushed out the room.

Y/n packed her stuff as she wore her uniform quickly, after changing, she hang her bag on the staff as she set off flying back to the castle.

Luz made it to Gus's front door, she knocked as the door opened, revealing Gus.

"Gustopher! Gusteban, Augustabeth! Any of those working for you?" "You need my library card to visit Amity, don't you?" Gus said emotionless, he already expected it.

Luz laughs nervously, "I haven't been doing a good job of hiding that to you and Y/n, huh?" Gus shook his head side to side, sighing a no.

"Well, I was also hoping to do a little bit of...research!" Luz pulls him by the shirt in excitement, as she pulls him out of the door, "come on!"

Luz and Gus walked side by side, "so, Eda's mom told me I'm not the first human to have lived in Bonesborough. If that's true; there might be more info on how they got here in the library!" "Yeah, okay. Looking through old newspapers is about all I'm good for anyway." Gus said, frowning as he looked at his own feet when walking.

Luz stopped In front of him, pointing at him. "Spill it, Gustonimo. Are you okay?" Luz asked worriedly. Gus turned to the side of bridge, Luz follows, "I-I just been thinking. What if it's time for me to explore different kinds of magic?" Gus asked Luz.

"I'm all for trying new things, but what's wrong with illusions? Even Y/n can be interested in it." "Illusions are just so...you know—" Gus moves his hand as signing is boring, but was cut off the ground shaking and a big growl.

A Slitherbeast was charging towards the kid who was holding a balloon, suddenly two students jumped out of no where as the Abomination drew a circle using both of his hands, making an abomination goo ok the grounds as the beast runs into it and slipping on the road.

The Plant one drew a circle as he created a small net using trees to bounce the beast back.

After it landed, a girl in the Construction track jumped in as she hits his fist to the ground, warping the beast up with ease.

She brushed her hair slightly as she puts a thumbs up to the two guys, "good work, guys!" Everyone cheered, the kid hugged the guy in the plant track.

Gus's eyes were shining as bright as the stars, looking at the three in awe. The dad picked his son up, "son, are you okay?" He asked worriedly, "yes, daddy. Thank you, mysterious heroes." He thanked the three, "stay safe out there!" The girl shouted while walking away with the two.

"Wow, just wow!" Gus said, walking up to them as they stopped their tracks. "Plants, Abomination, Construction. You guys took down that Slitherbeast like it was nothing!" "Nah, it wasn't that easy." "Yeah, looked like you had a real hard time at the there!" The boy shakes the girl with the shoulder playfully.

"You're Glandus students, right? I go to Hexside, Name's Gus." "Nice to meet ya. This is Angmar." The plant track student waved, "Gavin." The Abomination student holds up his finger guns. "And I'm—" "BRIAA!!" A faint voice was shouting the Construction teach student's name from afar, coming closer and closer.

"I would've helped, but like, there was this other baby in danger. You probably couldn't see." The boy ran into the scene, panting as he wiped off his sweats on his forehead while explaining why he wasn't present.

"Mattholomule?" "Augustus?! Back off, twerp. This operation is Glandus kids only." "Hey, Matty, it's all cool. Did you get the map??" Bria asked excitedly.

"Yes! And I only had to endure thirty-five noogies from my older brother!" "Nice work!"

"Well, uh. I can see you guys are busy, so—" "wait! Have you ever heard about of the Galdersrones?" "They're powerful relives. Many witches and demons have sought of them." "But they all returned empty-handed, haunted by its guardian." They explained as they showed Gus the map.

"Until us!" Angmar raised his hand, "we heard some coven scouts talking about them, but it'll be rough going. You said you are a Hexside student right?" Bria asked, "we can use the extra strength!"

"That sounds awesome, but I-I can't. I promised a friend that I'd help her with something today." Gus said as Luz suddenly came out of no one, why is everyone coming out of no where— anyways, Luz exhaled, making the invisibility spell inactivated. "Gus! You ran away so fast, but I didn't want to interrupt, so.." Luz catches her breath while saying that sentence, she puts a hand on his shoulder, "I think you should go!"

"Well, he can't. Gus is just an illusionist. He'll only hold us back." "Show us what you know. Gus here is a regular super witch." Luz warped her arms around hid shoulder, "Luz!" Gus blushed out of embarrassment, since he only knows illusions.

He turns around with Luz, "I see what you're doing and it's really sweet but I don't actually know any spells besides illusions!" He whispered-shouted to Luz.

"No problem." Luz pulls out her four main glyphs, handing the to Gus. "Come on, man. You know I'm all about proving jerks wrong." Luz said as Gus smiled.

"Alright, I'm in. Where do we find these Galderstones?" "We're journeying to...the Looking Glass Ruins in Forearm Forest!" She pointed to the forest on the side of the Titan's head.

Y/n arrived at the castle as she landed to the ground, she walked through the bridge as the guards all greeted her. The Emperor watches from far up.

Making into the castle, she set down her stuff as she puts on her mask again, walking around the castle while she started to doing her duties.

Walking to the Emperor's room, she hid behind a wall as she peaked through it, seeing the door that leads to the human realm, being rebuilt using some magic forces that can make the door connect to the human realm.

"Is there something wrong, Diamond Guard?" The Emperor's voice came from behind, scaring the poor girl almost to death.

"No sir, I just wanted to report you to my Hexside mission you have sent me to. But you weren't there..." She said in panic.

"I see, how is your mission doing?" He asked while you walked along with him. "I've joined the Illusion and Oracle track as a student in disguise. I have befriend the human in order to know her next move—" "you befriend the human?" He asked, stopping his track as he turned to you.

"Yes, Emperor." You said, nodded as you felt sweats, and chills going down your spine. He sigh as he warps his arms around you, walking again. "Y/n, have I ever told you the story of wild magic?" "yes, uncle." "Wild magic has been very dangerous and threatening to us, I don't want you to end up like them."

That's not how it works.

"I understand, I will be careful." You said, biting your lip as he tightened his grip, "I trust you with all my heart, I will be hurt to see you being injured and infected by them." He said as you nodded.

That is just your fear, fear is what can't be trusted.

"Good, your brother is on a mission at the moment, would you like to stay and wait?" "I would like to stay in my room and wait." You answered as he nodded.

"I'll see you later, Diamond Guard." He said as you stepped inside the room. You took off your mask, you felt like the longer you put it on the harder it is to breathe.

You felt sick yet scared, scared of his words, and wild magic. The story that he told truly frightened you, you couldn't bare to think of how it felt just by imagine it.

You sat on your bed as you took a book as destruction, you took off your gloves as you started to read, you felt the world as quite down, you felt peace. You felt...safe.

Luz sneaks into the kids corner as she peaks into the room, seeing amity without her hairband, as she knees in front of a kid.

"Come on, give it back." She said, as the little girl shook her head side to side, Amity sighs. "If you give me back my hairband, I'll read you whatever book you want tomorrow." The little girl gasped, "finally! I can learn how to summon the dark lord!" She hands over the hairband to Amity with no hesitation, running away with excitedment. And wait, the dark what now?—

Amity puts her hair back up into her formal style, Luz watching from the corner as she blushes, looking 
at Amity like a love sick puppy.

"Hey Luz!" The Blight siblings said from behind as Luz suddenly got out of her lovesick mode. She turns to them, playing cool which is what she always fails, "oh! Hey Ed, Hey Em! Picking up Amity?" "Nah, looks like you got that covered." Emira jumps off to the ground from Edric's back.

"I'm looking for skincare tips, I have a date tonight." "Yeah, he needs all the help he can get, after he accidentally texted a poem to their mom!" "Please don't tell people that." Ed said embarrassingly.

"Are they bothering you again?" Amity asked from behind which scared Luz, she turns to Amity as she blushes, "oh! I just came here to see you and... here you are!" Luz chuckles nervously.

Amity and Luz were both a blushing mess, as the Blight twins finally understood the situation. They gasped as Em grabs Ed's face. "Edric, your face! Is exploding with horrific pustules!" "Oh no. Wait is it really?" "We have to fix it before your date or you'll get dumped!" Em pushes Ed a bit as he looks back at her in shock, "what?! I will??" "Ugh, come on, Ed." Em ends up dragging Ed out of the kid's corner, leaving the two teenagers alone.

"I was actually wondering if you could help me find this book?" Luz hands over her notes to Amity as she scan through the page while Luz is explaining.

"Hundreds of years ago, there was a human named Philip Wittebane living in Bonesborough. And he donated his diary to this library!" Luz said excitedly.

"And this might help you travel between realms, right?" "Yes! My mom probably thinks I'm missing right now. I have to get back to her as soon as possible." "Well something this old would be kept in... the Forbidden Stacks." Amity said as they both looked at the door in the dark area. It had one eye flying bat creatures along with a giant tall wooden door.

"Hunter!" The girl said, running up to the blonde boy as they both hugged.

Y/n and Hunter are honestly inseparable, since they were kids they were always there for each other, but due to going on different missions, they can't see each other as often.

"How did your mission go?" The girl ask, "well, we had to deal with the escaped Slitherbeast on the way back, but other then it went pretty smoothly, but Kiki is honestly annoying me." Hunter said, his eyes twitching at the mention of Kiki.

"I gotta agree, she is crazy." Y/n said, remembering the time Kiki literally almost killed her during a mission she were on with her. A beast started attacking because Kiki stepped on a trap, but instead of helping Y/n out while it was targeting her, she ran away and left her to fight it alone.

Y/n of course quickly defeated the beast, but Kiki was already no where to be seen. "Oh my, that was not a fun time." She said.

"Well, tomorrow I'll have another mission. When are you leaving again?" "Tonight, I have school tomorrow."

"Right, where are you staying anyways?" "Well I... found a person and they were nice enough to let me stay with them." Y/n lied.

Y/n doesn't like to lie that much, but she couldn't tell the truth at this situation because one, Hunter would definitely tell Belos, two, Hunter doesn't exactly stand on her side and stand basically right next to Belo's side, believing in Belo's wild magic story fully.

He smiled hearing that as he brought the lie, they both hang out for the rest of the day, studying and reading books they found interest in.

Well, If you thought that they succeeded, you're wrong. They were both caught because Luz found the book, but basically all the pages were all gone since they were eaten by the creatures.

Amity ended up getting fired, Malphas the master librarian took away her staff card. "Amity, I am so—" "not right now, Luz." Amity cuts Luz off.

"Everything's changed since you came here, being around you makes me do stupid things and I wish I didn't." Amity turns her head to the girl next to her with tears in her eyes, but soon soften after she saw Luz also had tears filling up her eyes.

"It's okay. I—" Luz sniffed, "uh, I- I do stupid things around you too, Amity." Luz wipes a tear, Amity gasped.

"I...think I need to go home." Amity walks down the stairs slowly. Luz puts her hands in front of her face, pushing her hair back after, "Nada funcionará a menos que lo haga funcionar." Luz walks back into the library.

Y/n walked past the throne room, as Belo's stepped out of the room just at the same time. "Ah, Diamond Guard. I would actually like to have a word with you." He said, as she nodded, going into the room.

"Tomorrow all the coven heads will be attending a special meeting, and I'll actually like you and The Golden Guard to attend." He said.

"Do we have to prepare anything?" "No, Kiki and the others will be handling it, you'll be staying the night. The meeting will be ending before your Hexside mission starts." "Understood Emperor." Y/n walked back out the room as she suddenly stopped when suddenly a big roar came out of the room she just exited.

She turn her head back, looking at the door in fear. She were just about to touch the door and open it, looking inside what was happening, the sound stopped.

She took her hand back, putting her mask on again as she walked away, on the outside she looked like she was just walking, but behind the mask she was zoning off her thought, wondering what happened inside the room.

Inside the Blight's mansion, Amity as sitting with her siblings, Edric was looking at himself in the mirror while Emira is brushing her sister's hair.

Amity looked at the floor, frowning, "ever since Luz came here, things have just gotten confusing." She confesses to her sister, who is listening while still brushing her hair.

"Im thinking things I've never thought before, I'm feeling things I never used to feel!" She said, Emira stopped when Amity moved.

"Is that so bad? You weren't happy before." She said as Amity looked at her, but Emira looked at Edric.

"Ed, don't pick. You'll make it worse." She said, "too late!" He said, already doing it's Amity sigh.

Emira frown a bit at her sister, as looked at her hair, "hey, your roots are growing out. Do you wanna dye your hair again?" She held up her green colour dying potion, as Amity looked at her own hair colour.

After awhile, Amity's hair was finished. "So, how's it look?" The twins looks at her sister's hair, as they thought for awhile.

"It looks like you're about to get in big trouble with mom." Emira hits Edric in a chest. "Ow." "I think it looks great! But yeah, maybe don't tell her I helped." Emira said, smiling awkwardly as a knock was heard.

Amity opens the door as Luz holds her burnt staff card while closing her eyes shut. "I'm sorry about everything, I understand if you never want to see me again. Uh—" Luz opens her one eye as she saw Amity's new look.

"It's... different." She said in shock, "oh, yeah. Mom always likes it green, I thought I could use a change." Her and Luz made eye contact as they both blushed.

"Uh, how's you get this back? And... what happened?" Amity points at Luz's outfit. She was a mess, her clothes were dirty and her hair was messed up.

"Well! To convince Malphas to hire you again, I had to go through some trials, and categorise some man-eating bugs, and tame something called a paper dragon." Luz thought back the memories of all the trials, "that guy was not fun."

"Oh, hey guys!" She said happily to the twins behind Amity, the paper on her hair slipped off since she tilted her head.

Amity looks behind her, seeing the twins waving back, when they were caught they quickly left the scene. Amity sighs as she closes the door.

"Well, looks like you made a new friend." Amity said the mouse on her leg, as Luz gasped, lifting up her leg.

"You're the one that ate the diary!" The mouse jumps off as she follows, falling to the ground to catch it.

"I hate you." She said as Amity giggles a bit, "wait, this is an Echo Mouse. It consumes knowledge through writing and can play back anything it eats. We dealt with them a lot at work. Watch."

Amity took the mouse from Luz's hand as she placed it on her palm softly, pressed on it's forehead las Amity drew a circle on it, making it's line on the back and the eyes glow into a light neon green, shooting out a play.

After the short intro of the journal, Amity hands the mouse back to Luz. "Thank you little mouse, I hope you and I can become good friends." Luz bopped her nose with the mouse, as wind blew past by her.

Amity looks at Luz in awe, taking back the library staff card in her hands, she smiled.

"Don't worry, you always have a way of sneaking into people's heart." Amity said, kissing Luz on the cheek softly.

Luz's eyes widen, as she tunes to Amity in amazement. The twins looking down from the room, Edric crossed his arms, "bold move, sister."

Luz gasped as her eyes sparkled, Amity blushes, making her whole face almost as red as a tomato.

"Uh, okay! Good to see you! Farewell forever!" She stepped back, realising what she just did as she quickly walked to the door.

"Why did I do that, Why did I do that,Why did I do that??!" She said to herself as she held her cheeks, opening her door as she stepped inside.

Luz drops to the ground with the mouse in her hand, frozen, not moving an inch.
